Well done Edgar. Hats off to her and you. I too, have pride in my "daughter" that adopted me. She went the extra steps to take my last name, 3 months prior to her medical school graduation. She said I deserved to hear Doctor, before MY last name. I married her Mom at age 7 - Love that girl. She's a LTC in the military and doing very well. Sushi is awesome - thanks girl! Chuck in NE Kansas
And this text for a tempting TROLL. I suggest you are good PEOPLE. Life does not end anywhere near where it begins. Suggest you sue the college for the BS Degree SHE or THEY cannot live on.
My parents adopted two children when we were younger and they are fostering an infant and toddler right now at the ages of 63 and 69. I think they are absolutely amazing.
WHO IS CUTTING ONIONS?!?! I played this song at my step-dad's funeral. He was so important to me and my life and even though it's been over 20 years since he left us, I hope he's proud of the man he raised.
The fact that you Loved him so much is testament to the Love he has for you>>> Yes HAS>>> I'm sure he can hardly wait for the reunion... Blessings brother
As a stepdad myself, and also being raised with my stepdad in my life, this song means so much to me. I cry hoping that one day my kids will think of me this way!! Much love!! Great reaction
Hey man. My real dad didn't want nothin to do with me. And my stepdad David aka my dad, he stepped up when he didn't have to. Just seeing your comment....I have no doubts your kids think highly of you. On behalf of every stepchild, thank you for being a great dad. idk you but I salute you.
My youngest isnt mine biologically but knows the entire story behind that story. Several years ago he found a special gift cd of this song and gave it to me. Tears flowed.😪
i married my wife 34 years ago, she had children from a previous marriage. The youngest was 2 years old when i came into her life. I was 23 when we married and it was quite an adjustment having to support and help raise someone else's kids at that age. Now i am Paw Paw to their children, including my baby girl who 2 years ago gave birth to her first child via in vitro fertilization....that little 2 year old boy is the sunshine of my life. I've been blessed
Brad writes all his songs Sushi, he writes funny, romantic, and talks about issues without offending anyone. This song is powerful. My Father took in my brother when he first meet my Mom, before I was born. You should definitely react to 7 days of Brad Paisley. Lets do a country marathon lol. Love all your reactions. Merry Christmas :)
This song hits home for me because literally everything he is singing about is what me and my brother went through. My biological father left us when I was 4 and my stepdad came around when I was 12. Then fast forward years later I’m 19 scared because I’m about to be a father and I had doubts about if I would be a good father but he helped me through it and believe in me and now my son is 10 almost 11 and I’m proud to say I’ve always been there for him and never left his side.
Meeting my future wife and her two wonderful children changed my life for the better, I hadn’t heard this song in so long and one night it came on and we both cried together. Knowing it was telling our story. Love this song, it’s a fantastic one.
I've been a step dad for 5 years now and its truly been a blessing. I can't even begin to describe the rewarding feeling. My uncle was basically my dad so this reminds me of him everytime
THIS HITS HARD. My husband meet our son when he was 18 months old. When our son was in high school, this song came out...he came home after football practice all excited...he had gone and bought Brad’s CD, and sat Dad down and played this song to him.
I am in tears. I am the proud Dad of a 26 year old girl. Her Mom, and I raised her since she was 2. Her biological dad was a drug using waste of space, and never did anything for her! I love that kid so much! Now, she has a kid, a little girl who is 8 now, her biological father is nowhere to be found. Guess what? She is our little gift. We call her God's little gift the sunshine. How can a human ever stand to miss out on so much beauty? That is just fine! We will love her just that much more!
I'm nearly 70 years old, and my dad was one of those - he adopted me and my sister when we were 3 and 2 years old; every time I hear this song I cry like a child - it's such a powerful message!
That's a good man. And I promise you I never get to say that. The rare human I have respect for. Sushi you're a sweetheart. I tapped on this so fast cuz I knew it'd touch your heart. I've been head banging so I didn't wanna cry today. Couldn't resist this😁❤
My wife and I took custody of my niece when she was 11 from her abusive mother. She’s 35 now and we have raised a wonderful caring woman we broke the cycle and couldn’t be more proud. She doesn’t reference me as uncle she calls me and my wife dad and mom
I absolutely love watching your reaction to this video.i married my wife who had 2 boys that where 2. and 8 months old. We got married and had 1 son together that 37 years ago. Still married to my sweet heart. And now have 4 grandchildren. This video hit home with me and you've got a good heart. Keep it up.
As a stepmom myself, this song always makes me cry. My son and I are very close. So much so that he gave my name to my first grandchild as her middle name. Even though he has a relationship with his birth mom, he will be the first one to tell you that I'm the mom who raised him and taught him. Such a beautiful song by Brad.
The first time I ever talk to the woman I will soon call my wife she told me she was adopting three of her grandchildren. Not even 1, 2 and 8. She later told me that she told me this so as to not waist our time if this was a problem. I told her that it proved to me that she was the type of woman I was looking for.
When my son married his beautiful wife he asked me if it would hurt my feelings if he replaced the mother son dance with a speech and this song. Of course I immediately cried and gave my heartfelt blessing. It was a beautiful emotion moment between him and his dad. Not a dry eye in the place.
Sushi, This song is actually based on a true story about one of the members of Brad Paisleys band members life. I was watching an interview and he also said it in an award show how the song came about. This is a great song...
OHh the true stories of Country Music, that comes from heart felt country folk ! I love that I got to be a country boy in that era that was taught how to feel, live and how to LOVE. They are not just words to us, they are powerful meanings. This type of people are called old school folks. Back in a time where your word meant something and so did a look in your eye hand shake. I'm only 51 and I really don't reconize this world anymore. You are my favorite reaction video person because you show us true realisem of a good person allowing your self to learn, grow and feel right in frount of us. WoW.
This song reminds me of my hubby, we've been together for 16yrs an he came into mine an my sons life when he was just 5yrs old. His bio dad has nothing to do with him, but he found his daddy. Anyone can be a father, but it takes a special man to be a daddy
Your reaction video is the first time I've seen this video and heard this song of Brad's! OMG! This is my life to a "T", the man I call my Dad I met when I was 5 and now I am a Daddy with Daughters! My Dad is and has always been a great inspiration to me! He asked me when I was 5 if he could marry my mom and become my Dad. He loved me so much he gave his middle and last name. I hope one day I am 1/10th the Dad he is! He is a true Badass Dad, Grandpa, and US Veteran of Vietnam! I am proud to be his son and to call him Dad! I Love you Dad!
I met my daughters when they were 6 & 7 years old and just proudly walked the younger one down the aisle at her wedding. They never called me dad growing up only because I never made an issue out of it, but they always introduced me as such and all their friends and teachers knew I was dad. Even their older sister whom I didn't raise (long story) thinks of me as dad and granddad to her kids.
Raising 2 daughters the last 23 years that didn’t have my blood running through them, or my eyes but God could not have Blessed me with 2 beautiful unselfish amazing girls. Thank you for sharing this. Totally crying and thankful I worship a savior who’s both worthy and deserving of our praise.
One of the many reasons I love country music is because just about every song has a message. The message can range from super silly & fun to heartwrenching... But is a story nevertheless.
I am African American and grew up on a farm. I love country music as well as Brad Paisley. I absolutely love the stories. I am a new subscriber! Great job.
I love the raw emotion you show and wished I would have found someone such as yourself many years ago after divorcing and raising three kids as a single father and relating to being treated like she was when women found out, I was a single father of three an ran the other way. To this day I have never remarried or dated because my kids have always come first. Now I'm a older gentleman and feel I have no need to search out that fulfillment of a companion. I've always felt broken, because weather most believe it or not women are as mean as men can be when it comes to relationships.
Big Red I’m right there with you brother. I doubt I will ever let someone too close again after my ex tore me up so badly. My biological kids are living with me. But....Let me tell you what hurt the most is not having my 3 step sons around. The youngest was an infant when his mother and I moved in together. Her second oldest was 2 and her oldest was 4. When we got divorced the youngest of my step kids was 18. I helped raise those boys and still today if they asked for anything I’d do my best to help them. I really miss them being in my day to day life.
This song came out a little after my step dad and mom got together and it instantly became his and my song. He passed away in 2015 and I can’t listen to this song without balling. I miss that man so much. He was my best friend that he didn’t have to be.
This is the third video I've watched of your reactions to the songs. You are adorable! I love how each touched your heart, and watching you tear up made me tear up. You seem like an incredible person, and I hope your life is all you need it to be. God bless you...
This particular song, has a very special meaning to myself and my daughter. I met my wife and more to the point my daughter, when she was 1 year and 3 months old. She doesn't know her biological father, but that's another story. I married my wife when Diana was 4 years old and adopted her almost immediately. I am proud to be the only man she has ever called "daddy". Until she got married herself, she carried my name. See, because of a terrible accident when I was 12, I was left sterile and could not have children of my own. When Diana was born, her mother had to have a complete hysterectomy, due to complications during childbirth. This was both of our only chance at having a child. The decision to take her as my own, has paid off a million fold. I now have 2 awesome grandchildren and an OK son-in-law. I joke about that part, because he has never left Diana's side and loves his children tremendously. There is another song that means the world to us, if you haven't heard it before. Maybe you could make a video of that one also. It's call "The Dance", by Garth Brooks. You should give it a try.
Collin Raye “Not that different” and “Little Rock”. Also check out some Gary Allan “It would be you”, Best I ever had”, and Life ain’t always beautiful”, and “Every storm runs out of rain”.
My sons daddy stepped up when my son was 2.5 and our son is gonna be 20 in February and I love this man so much!! Not once did he ever call him his step son. And it’s a beautiful thing to see my son grow into a wonderful man like his dad!!
I'm a white guy in my mid-50's who has been listening to country music since I was a kid. Every emotion I've ever had has been captured by a country song at one time or another. Until today, I didn't know there was such a thing as reaction videos (yes, I know that makes me sound old), and I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see reaction videos done by people of other generations and races as they watch the music I grew up loving. I think that you might be a country music fan, and, maybe, just didn't know it. :)
This reminds me of my stepdad. To make a long story short....back in 2005....when I was 17....I had gotten really really sick and I ended up in the icu....and my mom called my dad to tell him and his response was....”I can’t come....I promised my fiancée that I’d take her out to breakfast!” And I was so bad....they didn’t think I was gonna make it. A few days later....he came up to the hospital 3 days later for only 15 minutes. And I was in the icu for 7 days....and the hospital altogether 15 days. And my stepdad came up there EVERY DAY I was up there from when visiting hours started at 8 am to when they ended at 9 pm. But my mom NEVER left my side
Not all of them. Some can by downright funny. "Friends In Low Places" by Garth Brooks, "A Boy Named Sue" by Johnny Cash, and "So Much Cooler Online" by Brad Paisley are good examples.
This song has a special place in my heart. I gained a blessing in a stepdad as now my children have gained a great grandpa in him as well. He's loved us all as his own. Blood doesn't make a parent... Love does. Still cry listening to this song and I play it energy year on father's day to pop's... And we always cry and end it in hugs and love
I can't tell you how awesome it is to see your reactions to some of my favorite songs. It is like I am experiencing them all over again with your eyes. I was born in 68, grew up in the 70's and to the mid 80's, served in the military from 85' to 07' and have a very eclectic love for music but country is my all time favorite and to watch you experience what I have known to be powerful music my entire life allows me to feel younger again. Thank you for sharing yourself with all of us.
I dedicate this song to my Dad every March 2 (his birthday) and every Father's Day because he married a mom with two daughters (ages 5 and almost 4). One of them had a mouth and remembered enough of life before him to give him hell in those first few years, then grew up to be a know-it-all mouthy teenager who continued to try him. That 5 year old with the attitude was me and he is the only man I can imagine calling "Dad".
You are beautiful and have a beautiful heart, you crying makes me cry, I love the songs that you react to and I am very impressed about how much you like them, thanks for making my day better, !! Stay beautiful!!
That's my song. My blood dad died when I was 2 months old. My mom later married a country man who was at least as good to me as his own sons my brothers who were born later. He wasn't a business man, but he knew how to run a farm; he taught me the ways of the country especially the forest which he loved, he taught me how to fish and play baseball and so much more and he loved me. He also taught me really important things like kindness, to respect my fellowman and always be charitable to those in need. He was a real man; he died in 2011 and I still think about him every day and I can't imagine how life would have been without him.
Sushi, I just found the "reaction videos" last night and since then have watched several, of yours and other's. What I discovered is that you are a girl after my own heart! Every time I can barely see the screen for tears of my own, I look up and you're wiping your tears away! The songs ARE powerful, as you point out, but your reactions are powerful also. I absolutely love your videos! I think it is valuable to everyone when one of us shows that is OK to show our emotions when things move us, as these songs do. I think it means we care for others, and that's why they bring tears! Not to "preach", but thank you for these honest reactions, and please continue.
Back in 2000 I married my wife who had 3 grown children. Her youngest child is Felicia. Felicia was 20 years old when we got married and wasn’t a big fan of the idea of me getting together with her mom. After a couple of years, she had changed her mind about me and bought me the cd with this song on it. She was telling me that I had become the dad I didn’t have to be. I consider her my daughter and she thinks of me as her dad. I taught her how to drive. I was there when she took her driving test (which she failed the first time). I advised her on her first car purchase ($400 bucks) and told her how to get financing on her second car. All the things that a dad would do. She’s my daughter. Period.
Shout out to all the step, foster, adoptive parents out there who stepped up!!!! It takes more than DNA to be a parent!!!
I quit my daughter, she went black!
@@mattsmith-bl2bg not sure what you mean??? If you are saying you abandoned your daughter because she is with a black person you won't get sympathy from me!!! I'm white and my husband is black!!! If that's not what you meant please clarify?!?!
Then you're a piece of shit just like her. You do realize their goal is to get rid of the white race.
Matt Smith I somewhat agree Let’s get one thing straight I don’t agree with abandoning your DAUGHTER by no means but I don’t agree with mixing or gays neither but I can tolerate mixing but no I can’t stand gays at all all WE CAN DO IS PRAY TO FATHER GOD AND THE LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST the HE will help us

I'm 28 now, and he's still my hero. Love you, Dad.
I'm a stepmother. I hope my kids feel this way about me, too. I've always tried to love them like they are my own. I think I did that.
Three chords and the truth....
That's a happy cry. Want to see another side of Brad, listen to "I'm Gonna Miss Her."
christmasbaby57 Either that or “Ticks”
I’m really glad you like the song. Thanks for reacting to it!
Great memories ❣️
This song makes me cry cuz it's exactly how I feel about my dear step dad. He is my dad❤️
If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away- Justin Moore, that’s one almost everyone can relate too
I'm a white guy in my mid-50's who has been listening to country music since I was a kid. :)
where did these tears come from?? ♥️😭
But they are HAPPY tears, I hope!
Almost every country song makes you Tear up. Shits emotional.
Not all of them. Some can by downright funny. "Friends In Low Places" by Garth Brooks, "A Boy Named Sue" by Johnny Cash, and "So Much Cooler Online" by Brad Paisley are good examples.

Those are fun, but country should make you feel.
@@anonymouspost8407 Well, any Art should make you feel, when the artist really tries.
Dang girl you make me cry watching you. An I'm a grown ass man sixty years old. Wow
I love the fact that your heart is so tender. I cry easily, too.
Thanks so much Kelly
John Michael Montgomery- the little girl. Amazing song.
Can you do Three Wooden Crosses - Randy Travis? Such a powerful story.
yes please! i love the version where he sings it with josh turner. its an a amzing song
I cried like a baby watching the video ! You chose an beautiful song... thank you 😊
Sweet song! Listen to “waiting on a woman” the version with Andy Griffith
You are beautiful and have a beautiful heart, you crying makes me cry, I love the songs that you react to and I am very impressed about how much you like them, thanks for making my day better, !! Stay beautiful!!
Can you react to "3 wooden crosses" by Randy Travis. Or anything by the king of country!! Mr. George Strait
yes Brad Paisley!!! I never heard this one before but as a stepfather and adoptive father I can relate! love those kids dearly
I met my dad when I was 7 years old...
The song is good but. Your tears killed me. I just wanted to give you a little hug
Period.
Would love to see you react to Kathy Mattea singing “Where’ve You Been”.
