It makes me cry knowing that this game, indeed, this series has been abandoned by Sony. WTF Sony... Why don't you remake a remake (even a Remaster would be fine) of this trilogy? A Remake had Crash, Spyro, Medievil, Resident Evil 2/3/4... even Pacman had it, why can't this series have a Remake/Remaster? Bah... I always hope that sooner or later, they bring this trilogy back to its former glory.
@@austinmorrison6953can't. Like most of the ps1 library, and the first game, its being held back by music rights. Particularly Spector's theme at a guess.
I dont understand why they made red a farting machine, atleast yellow was funny but red felt disgusting even for the time period it was released in. Specially after how nice he was in academy
When I was a Kid I had a mental breakdown because of that pinck monkey... in the process I destroyed the DVD,now makes me sad cause I won't be able to finish the game
This is really odd compared to the US version lol. A lot of the special attacks for the FM5 just seem like odd word alterations or to be honest just sound lamer. Monkey White: USA “I’m Gonna Shish-kabob You!” UK “Roast Chicken Deluxe!” Monkey Blue: USA “Gonna Getcha!” UK “Bombs Away!” Monkey Yellow: USA “Ninja Attack!” UK “Throwing Stars!” Monkey Pink: USA “Prepare to meet your maker!” UK “I’ll tear you to pieces!” (The only one where the UK version made it better) Monkey Red: US “This place will be your grave!” UK “Your final resting place!”
Ninja_Baseball_Haruhara What’s up with American versions being too pussy to even use words like ‘hell’ and so forth, despite the former hardly being that explicit? Have you seen the censoring for _Fire Emblem: Awakening?_ They censor entire scenes at times, so there’s less bang for your buck. I think that’s even lamer than the UK version deciding to have different quotes.
How are the USA versions better??? How is "Shish kabob" supposed to be a menacing line?? Roast Chicken Deluxe at least is closer to the original (Yakitori Deluxe!)
@@saruarchive6285 because specifically "I'm gonna shish-kabob you!" would mean that US White plans to impale you and then set you on fire, meanwhile UK White just says "Roast chicken deluxe" in an incredibly goofy voice, which makes it feel less impactful. And in terms of being 'more accurate', Yakitori is literally a chicken _shish-kabob,_ but "roast chicken deluxe" would imply an entire roasted chicken like a rotisserie, so even the US is more accurate in that regard.
@@rugalbernstein5913 Oh damn, I kneel and admit defeat for not seeing the original intention here from the US translators. Unfortunately, the cultural reference is lost either way, because Shish Kebab doesn't seem to be such a popular dish to the average north american kid, so that's just as niche as leaving Yakitori Deluxe as is to a (2006) western audience... The boring UK Roast Chicken is ironically more accessible and wasn't far off from White's actual attack: he just roasts you. He doesn't stab you or anything. At least as far as it goes in-game, discussing White's murder methods is off topic. I don't like either english dub regardless, but I don't blame the bland UK version either, either way it's a case of Jelly Donuts, one is just more accessible to the target audience and preserves the chicken cooking aspect over random stabbed meat (kebab is lamb, usually, though chicken kebab is absolutely a thing). Besides... Yakitori literally means "grilled chicken". I highly doubt the devs considered skewers being that important, considering the attack itself in-game. In a way, Roast Chicken Deluxe is quite literal in its faithfulness, while Shish Kabob reinterprets the whole thing. Mucho texto for some throwaway line.
Army Pig I think they all suit...perhaps also because I grew up with it, that’s what I’m used to but it also just sounds good to me, (as it’s not the case with English dubbing for anime upon first hearing a lot of the time, on the contrary, so it’s not always bias due to what I’m exposed to more). I think Blue’s VA is also good, but considering it’s explicitly meant to be American, he doesn’t sound the part HOWEVER in the PAL version for AE2 it’s not like he’s specifically American or British or whatever, so I suppose there’s that. 🤷🏻♀️ I mean, if we’re talking about the regions specific to AE3 as well, I suppose it would be strange as to why I would not also be questioning why Pink doesn’t have a slight Arabic accent (which Arabic, IDK, there’s too many); why Yellow doesn’t have a slight Japanese accent; why Red doesn’t have a slight Mandarin / other Sinitic-based accent; IDK what region White would even be, so...at this point it definitely sounds ridiculous. So I suppose the whole me saying ‘Blue doesn’t sound American’ is kind of silly, with the above considered.
Now I could be wrong, but wasn't an Ape Escape 4 supposed to come out for PS4? I could've sworn they registered the title at some point. I'd love to see Ape Escape on current consoles
it was used for the PlayStation Move Peripheral that was put in Ape Escape Move, there was two Japanese titles (Pumped and Primed/Million Monkeys, Ape Academy and surprisingly a Vita sequel of the main game as well as an Ape Escape 1 remake.

The European (UK) and American English localisations have a different set of voice actors - you can definitely hear it in all of their accents. Also, it’s *their voices. More than it is European, I suppose the more correct term would be PAL since in Australia, we also play this very version. I think pretty much all of Oceania and most European nations classify as PAL, North America (Canada, US, Mexico, Caribbean etc) and South America are NTSC. Japan is so special that they have their own region code, which is basically the same name as the American continent’s one, barring the extra letter at the end for NTSC-J.
