Lovely to spend Sunday evening stitching and listening to you - and absolutely loved all your projects :) especially the interesting wee tidbits you throw in about fabric choices, floss etc. Hope you continue to enjoy good health, take care, Nic x
Great video, Laura! I thoroughly enjoyed watching! My family also suffers from depression-no fun! One of my niece’s sits under a special light in the winter to fight her depression. She says it really helps. It supplies the vitamins the sun provides. Happy stitching! Hugs!❤
Hi Laura! I love the way you are customizing the Halloween stitch for Hocus Pocus. When I saw Earth Angel in your haul I was so happy! I started this stitch in 1995! It’s not done yet but I’m so close. It was way beyond my skill level when I started her. I haven’t seen many people stitching her. I’m looking forward to seeing your progress on her.
Your spot on with Earth Angle, we need peace & love instead of meanness and war. I need to get back to quilting, but for some reason, I only want to stitch
Girl, another great episode. I stopped the video and ordered some patterns you are stitching on. I think a lot of us suffer from depression. Stitching helps a lot. Winter and lack of sunshine not so much. You take care.
You touched a little bit on depression and I too have a problem with it as well. I know some of my triggers but also have some that just hit me out of the blue and I don’t know what caused it to happen. Usually I can pull myself out, now that I’ve got coping skills I put into action asap. Cross stitch (or other hobbies) definitely has helped me. I loved your video and all that you shared. TFS❣️
So glad to see your new post. Love all the Halloween WIPS. I have to tell myself, no you do not need to do every chart she is doing lol! Glad you spent time with family. They help to keep the depression at bay. Atleast that helps me with mine. Take care, looking forward to your next post!
I love watching your videos. You have done some beautiful stitching on lovely projects since your last video. I can sew but I haven't ever learnt to quilt. I would love to learn how you do your soft finishes to hang on the wall. I feel that it would mean that I display more of my stitching. Thank you ❤
I relate to shopping/kitting up projects when feeling depressed. It definitely hits harder and longer in the winter because I am apparently a finicky houseplant who needs exactly the right amount of water and sunshine to thrive. Delphine is beautiful and I love the fabric you chose for the Earth Angel
Can’t wait to see your planner set up for next year! Also I don’t know why, but when I saw the spooky teapot, at first I thought it was an angry teapot with a mustache 😂
Looking forward to seeing Spooky Hollow finished, I went on over to Hello from Liz Matthews and it is sitting in the cart. So many wonderful stitches that you have and I too enjoy working on Fall on the Farm, I have 3 of the blocks done ( doing them Individually). I always look forward to seeing you lovely stitching!
I so enjoy your Flosstubes! I really love your room which you said you use as a guest room. Now I want to come & stay with you, ha ha! Such a perfect guest room, full of so many beautiful & fun things to look at & enjoy. Love all your stitching. We do a lot of the same things. Thank you for sharing!❤ Happy Halloween from Iowa. 🎃
I pulled a few green skeins of yarn to crochet some Christmas trees for my tables aaaaaand then I sat next to the pile and had the nerve to pull out my cross stitch 🤣
Awesome to see another video from you! That Halloween fairy is super stunning. We sre kindred.spirits in our love for butterflies. Im currently working on Butterfly Cloche by Liz Mathews and its gorgeous! Enjoy your sunshine 🌞
I just recently found your channel and I think you are lovely! I love the verity of your stitching projects, your floss ideas and most of all the gorgeous dyed fabrics! Maybe one day you will bring us along for dying fabric? I'd love that! Have a great time!
A cover would be so fun! I usually use a clear cover... I will show it once I move into it! I am excited, I have been setting it up this week and I think it will be great for tracking all the stitchy things! 🥰
Laura, love your WIPs I stitched Earth Fairy a long time ago. I stitched her on a pink fabric. I thought I would like the new Butterfly one, but I would have to remove the beetle on the bottom left and the ladybug on the bottom right. I think I might pass on this one. I have a lot of her charts in my stash. I hope you make wonderful progress on the WIPs that you are going to work on for November.
I love your Halloween fairy, you are right, it looks stunning in those colours. I miss seeing Stargazer, so this Halloween fairy replaced her quite honorably. :) I also suffer from depression when November comes, I blame it on the trees losing their leaves and the entire nature going into hibernating. I am glad however that you mention this subject on your videos, because people think that being cheerful and smiling and being nice make it impossible for me to suffer from depression. I hope we have a mild and kind November ! Enjoy the calm of the stitching moments!
I absolutely love all you share!! Yes, to your Hobonichi planner idea. Please share if you decide yes. Quilted cover?? I wanted to ask (you may have shared already) do you make all your own project bags? They are beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing all yo do. Really looking forward to your December starts. ❤️🌻👍🏼
It was lovely to spend some time with you. I've been in my feelings lately with everything going on, I hear you. I have broken my right hand and my pinkie finger (dominant hand) which hasn't helped because I can't craft 😭 but now have added to my wish list! I did buy my first ever quilt panel and am wanting to try my hand (pardon the pun) at that come the new year. So that will be a happy rabbit hole I can fall down. Take care of yourself and thank you for brightening my day ❤ Also, love the earrings, I have a pair exactly the same 😉
Earth Angel is gorgeous! I made it for my mom years and years ago, and it still hangs proudly in her living room. Also, love Sugarplum Village. It was my birthday start in September.
Such great projects and I love, love, love your dyeing successes! They are stunning! I’m so tempted to try for a Halloween fabric. Do you use Ritz dyes? Any hints for success?? I so enjoy watching your flosstubes…many times!! 😊🎶
You are adorable and your projects are just beyond! I’m glad I found you here, I too live in the PNW. Thank you for sharing yourself and your work! Love love love
Yay for a finish! Your Halloween fairy is really coming along! I haven’t done any of Nora’s patterns but I am considering starting with the fairies. I really want to start the Christmas Bells pattern.
We just had family in town for about a week and I totally understand that feeling of trying to get your life back to normal and catch up on all the things you put aside to be a hostess. It’s so wonderful to have visitors but it really is exhausting to have drastic changes in your daily routine. I love the Halloween fairy! Of all the fancy girls I’ve seen on flosstubes, I think she’s my absolute favorite. I think the skirt turned out so beautiful!
What a wonderful video Laura. You’re such an enabler…I want to copy all of your plans! I am very tempted by Sugar Plum Village. I watched this episode cuddled on the couch with my man (I can’t believe I have him watching Flosstube with me haha) and he pointed out that you and I seem to cope with our depression in similar ways…laughter and hyper-focus on our crafts. I see you and as we head into this winter season I’m grateful for my Flosstube friends and needle and thread ❤️
I love your videos. 💕 Thank you for spending your time making these! Would you consider making a tutorial of how to do a soft, quilted finish? Or is there a good one out there?
Hi Laura!! Lovely video as always. I love your start on Halloween Quaker and epic work on the Halloween fairy. I can completely relate on stitching on a Nora , it’s none stop fun!!! -Samantha 🦋
I love your hand dyed fabric. I also experiment with dyes. What colour combo did you use? And what count was your haunted house done on? Also what is the count and colour of the fabric your using for the sugarplum village? I love it😊
I don't remember the combo on the haunted house any more- I dyed it earlier this year... but I know that there was a small drizzle of eggplant because I wanted just a hint of it with the grey. Count is 14. My Sugarplum Village is 36ct Meditation by Picture This Plus. ☺️
Fun video as always, and amazing T-shirt and nails 😍🧹 💅 I really like your Halloween/Autumn projects and I am really sad I can't find the Victorians pattern, I love it. Same with the "tonight we ride" one 😭 If anyone knows where If I could find, any of the two, somewhere please, please tell me. But I managed to find that Sugarplum Village pattern which looks so...fluffy I love it. My "to stitch" list get longer and longer, I'd have to reach 100 years old and my vision to be this one of a 20 years old to manage to stitch all the things I want to stitch, I am not even counting the knitting and the rest 🤣 But you never know, I am putting my hopes in science, other people would ask to look sexy etc and I'd ask to be able to stitch, go figure 😁 Looking forward to seeing you again 🥰🧵🪡
Laura, are you taking a vitamin d3 supplement? Those of us who live in the northern tier of the US need to take it. I live in North Idaho and have been taking it for well over 20 years. Just tossing it out there.
Thank you for your flosstube. As usual your videos brightened my day. I look forward to them. Don't let things get you down too much.
Lovely to spend Sunday evening stitching and listening to you - and absolutely loved all your projects :) especially the interesting wee tidbits you throw in about fabric choices, floss etc. Hope you continue to enjoy good health, take care, Nic x
I really appreciated your flosstube Laura, thank you. Happy stitching.
Laura, I always look forward to your videos. Another awesome video ❤ Have a wonderful stitching and peaceful week 😊

Well, now I also need the sugarplum village. Dang it, Flosstube Effect!
so happy about another lovely video! 😍 love all your projects 😊 happy stitching and enjoy all the fall projects 😊

Love all the projects you showed. And congratulations on your finish of Halloween.

I know what you mean about wanting to do both! Quilting and cross stitch. Both are the best!
Thanks for sharing

I managed to get octopus garden. I have just finished winter by cricket collection. Love your fabric you dye 🎉

I’m always happy to see one of your videos pop up. That angel chart is beautiful. I am praying for peace too.
It is so much fun to watch you get excited about your stitchy projects.
Not me gasping to my husband “my night just got so much better” 😂 happy to spend a Friday night stitching with you!
I love your videos. 💕 Thank you for spending your time making these! Would you consider making a tutorial of how to do a soft, quilted finish? Or is there a good one out there?
I am happy to do that, I am planning a small selection of tutorials for the new year and will add that to my list. :)
And now I need the sugarplum village. Does it really matter if you have 50 or 100 wips? Sounds the same to me

I am, you are absolutely correct. Thank you for thinking of me.
I got my Hearts for Pam already. If you want I can send you my red and you can just send me yours when it finally comes in?
