nice vid. i just purchased this online for my 40cc shaft drive brushcutter. it works fine and weighs in at 16oz, but i think it's about 2-4 ounces too heavy. the chain design is not as dangerous as some may think, it's actually a chainsaw link. like the video maker, i used my guard as close as possible.
Cool Jason! Safety first! Yes i agree, it is a little heavy.
Looks like it works quite well, but I'd remove the plastic guard and replace it with a steel one.

Pentru cosit iarbă sau lucerna se găsește de cumpărat un disc cu 6 cuțite (e bun și pentru tăiat buruienile de pe cartofi)Discul circular nu e chiar așa bun pentru case înfundă dar acest disc cu 6 cuțite (cum e cositoare de la tractor) e cea mai bună variantă pentru că nu se înfundă mai deloc. Și ca să fiți siguri că nu se înfundă dați drumul apărătorii și întoarceți-o în sus și după rotiți-o în jos spre partea stângă pentru a vă ajuta și să împingă iarba într-o brazdă! Al doilea sfat ar fi să vă reglați hamul pentru a nu scapă discul în pământ!
Florin KING Florine, am.avut disc cu 6 cutite(vezi celelalte.clipuri ale mele) dar sa stii ca nu era asa solid-jumate de cutit s a rupt iar un bolt aproape ca s-a desfacut..
La lucerna, ghizdei folosesc cu succes discul cu 36 de dinti..ce sa spun, m-am si obisnuit cu el de atatia ani. De cosit nu cosesc mult cu motocoasa dar o prefer in detrimentul coasei normale :) deh efort mai putin, in rest am cositoare dupa tractoras😎
E bună jucăria dar atenție la pietre devin adevărate proiectile sparge vizorul în fracțiune de secundă,,,, merge pe chinezeasca dar dacă o montezi pe huskvarna te ucide cu siguranță,,, spor la treaba!
ai punctat bine, si mie mi sa parut ca il duce cam greu motocoasa, pentru cosit clar ramane discul, iar pentru defrisat tot felul de buruieni ramane o alternativa daca sunt prea groase pentru fir. Eu am o motocoasa de 2 cai si dau destul de mult cu firul prin curte si pe la vie pe sub butuci. O sa pun niste clipuri si pe la vie cu ea, numai bine :D
Trebuie motocositoare de la 3cp in sus.Si fără apărătoare. Rupe tot, e bestie.Spor la treabă!
This is for flat, rock free ground. If you are on bumpy terrain and/or aren't sure of what's under the weeds and grass forget it.
Clever, however unlike nylon or steel cable it will put to much pressure if it jams on something as it has teeth and cannot slip. But good video.
If the chain doesn’t move when it spins. try oiling the chain

A standard cutting disc is more efficient to use. It usually goes in a set with your trimmer.
Right for the standard trimmer set which doesn' tinclude this attachment. Wrong when considering the efficiency and safety of such a trimmer head, which stands much above a standard cutting disk. I've tried it and I love it.
@@pget8462 lol So you have cheap and not powerful trimmer or did not experience any cutting with a disc blade at all... Even with my first cheap chinese trimmer i got good results! It's very fast and pretty clean cut and if you maintain it properly than it's cutting very good every time. So do not talk trash! But it's ok for many people in this world to love some stupid ideas and things. For me it's not ok.
@@HQHQHQHQHQHQHQHQHQHQHQHQHQHQHQ In addition to this chain head I also own quite a few different types of disc blades and I sharpen them regularly. My 41 cc trimmer is not cheap at all, and provides a lot of power. This specific chain head makes wonders in bramble bushes.
@@pget8462 Brumble bushes... That's nice! But i have a standard 3T disc blade which came with both: Jasper and Edward and Edward cuts up to 1cm thick bushes and trees in one go. It's 62cc. I was amazed couple of years ago when i bought it! What's brumble, about 3mm thick? But yeah, you like that and it's fine :)
@@pget8462 And fuel efficiency is better with a disc blade because of it's smaller weight and narrower design.

There is nothing mear dangerous when you operate it, And it works fine.

Unbeatable. Shame they are illegal in the UK because there was a case involving 2 operators and one was using a product similar to this, and all of a sudden one of the links flew off at max rpm and severed the other guys spinal cord from a good distance like a supersonic bullet. Now all blade attachments have to be 1 solid construction and not multiple parts.
Looks like it works great. Too bad guy got hurt but everything is dangerous.

the chain is inside out so it will not get caught so easily on thick brush.
I successfully use multi-strand steel cable in PVC shell 2-3mm for aluminum coil, instead of fishing line for trimmers

In my opinion a circular saw blade, carbide tipped better than this drum with a chain saw. The disc is better balanced and its speed will be approximately equal to the chain because the chain a heavy weight to promote. Worse balanced circuit
cable will not hold together anybetter than nylon string have tried it and it self destructs almost instantly

le-am vazut si eu pe net dar nu l-am incercat pentru ca credeam ca va vibra mult prea tare, plus trebuie sa cureti si ungi lantul nu ? dar pare sa mearga mult mai repede decat cu ata/sfoara, poate il incerc totusi

Nu l am mai folosit. Am rămas la firul de plastic. Mi se pare mai sigur si nu forțează motocoasa.

Question: can this chin head install on an electric grass trimmer machine?
Saw chain is designed for rotation around a chain bar on saw. The chain was never intended to be used as a brush whip. It's just a matter of time when a link or two will fail and the price for the nylon string will seem very cheap in comparison to a dangerous contraption such as this.
Not to mention there already exists a metal blade for this type of work that has a proper weight balance ratio.

There was actually one kid killed by the flying chain that hit him in the head. He was standing 15-20 feet from the man cutting the grass. I think it happened somewhere in Great Britain. That's why these kind of trimmer heads are banned in EU. Why do you think no large manufacturer offers them or sells them. Neither Stihl nor Husqvarna nor Echo, nobody. It's simply to dangerous. Probably more effective then steel knife you get with your trimmer, but extremely dangerous. Not worth it.
It did already kill o lot of people, look on Google. It was not with the same model, this one has two chains attached, maybe this is safer ? But not safe !! The chain can still detach and kill you at 400 km/h!

This is a bad idea,only because its dangerous,cuts the fence boards ,and overheats your motor because of the high weight of the chain,it may break the cable that goes from motor down to the gearbox.multi strand wire works better.
I was watching other product reviews, guy said same thing. Only use with shaft drive trimmer unless you like replacing cables all the time

the chain replace the nylon wire for grass, it's better and long lasting, but you need a powerfull trimmer. every pice of the chain is secured with 2 bolts. if a bolt come lose the trimmer will begin to vibrate, because the chain in the part of broken bolt will become long than the other. so if it vibrates you must stop the engine and repair thr broken chain or the broken bolt. with this tool you can chop the tall grass and big plants..

Better off using a steel blade. Less weight and cleaner cut.
Farms Grace for alfalfa i am using a steel blade(disc) but this device is for weeds. Any way it is a heavy device, and works beter with nylon wire.

Not fastest and not best! Simpler and better is a disc blade so it has good inertion too but cuts cleaner and thicker grass and even a small trees.

Возьми простой диск на три лезвия и будет лучше. У этой штуки перед диском только одно сомнительное преимущество - при попадании на камень не гнётся. Диск можно выпрямить, заточить и вперёд! Эта штука слишком тяжёлая для среднестатистического триммера, да и опасна, в комментариях пишут, что случались неприятности и даже смерть (в Британии). А диск и косит лучше - хорошая инерция, соответственно - меньший расход топлива, срезает чище, косит более толстую и густую траву и даже мелкие деревья. Есть опыт со слабеньким Jasper на 1,4 силы и с Edward 3.2 силы и в обоих вариантах диск 7.allegroimg.com/s1440/0135af/d27880c649cbb058ef90b3f1d4a7 работает отлично. Пару раз за сезон надо точить.
