Your theory and calculations are absolutely correct, but using a 13 kilo ohms resistor at 220 volts will burn out the LED, Because at that time not 16 milliampere- more than 200 milliampere current is flowing in the circuit. ❤
Phaji mai ek device nu chalana hai AC to DC mai thodi vedio dekh lyi mai nu samaj aa gyi but mere device 24V DC and 12A te operat honda hai 24V te mai creat kr la ga but 12A mai kida generate kra ga eh daso
Yes, LEDs light up based upon the current flowing through them. Use ohm's law to calculate the resistance on a given voltage in which it is to be used and the power formula to calculate the resistor wattage so that the resistor wattage should not be less than the calculated wattage of the circuit. If to be used in AC, parallel another LED or rectifier diode in reverse bias as a reverse voltage protection.

Thank you for this great tutorial! I knew quite well how to calculate current limiting resistance for LEDs before watching this. However, I usually watch the same content over and over again to solidify my understanding. I also feel that learning from different sources always adds fine bits of knowledge to my repertoire. The whole point of this is that I don't watch mediocre videos. I always watch the best on UA-cam.
Very good step by step explanation. Please do mention wattage calculations in conjunction with the resistance, as both go hand in hand for successful operation of the circuit.

You are logical and always helpful. Keep it up. Also make a video for a night light (not bulb) with the help of a LED and explain in the same nice and clear way as you always do. Bless you.
Generally many people are using 100k resistor to make 220v ac LED indicator. You are showing a resistor of about 13k according to the calculations in your video. So I don't understand what is correct. So please clear my doubt.
100k Resistance use only for safty. Because 2-3v led light is a dc base bulb not for ac voltage. But true circuit calculation showed in this video. I hope you understood this.

Thank you for this video. But how to find out which wattage to be used for resistor.

But sir ac current me polarity ni hoti to ye led to polar hoti hai, Phir kaise glow hogi,
This LED wil blink on ac very fast
Sir jo aapne 220 v AC Ka amp hai o vala amp milli me dikhate hain ki amp mei dikhate hai
Amp
bro ager hum 3v led ko 220v postive ac k sath 4007 k sath postive dain to chalay ge
13k will definitely burn the circuit @ 220v. In real time people use 100k resistance with diode 4007. Kindly explain
💯right
U can try with 68k and a 4007 diode ...and a 10uf cap connecting at led legs with right polarity ..
22k to 47k is good for 220 v
100k Resistance use only for safty. Because 2-3v led light is a dc base bulb not for ac voltage. But true circuit calculation showed in this video. I hope you understood this.

Sir, if we connect an led to 220v with 20k ohm resistor then the resistor will burn... Because we need some high watt resistor..
Yes you can calculate the wattage with formula P=V*I
very good explanation.
Thanks 😊
