I learned more watching this video than I’ve ever learned from any other teaching video, and I’ve been quilling for years. You show lengths of strips you used, measurements of the quilling circle sizer, how to hold the roll to make a perfect teardrop, which I’ve never seen in any other video. And everything is explained. You should do a book on the subject. Thank you for such clear instructions.
That's fantastic! It's always nice to hear what was helpful in the video! Thanks for the comment. I showed your comment to my daughter because it made me so happy.
These are absolutely gorgeous! I can't believe I haven't seen this before. Thank you so much for an excellent tutorial. I'd give it 10 Thumbs Up if I could!
This is fantastic, I have just started quilling and am starting with the more difficult pieces, don't like too easy, I love flower number 4 and will be using this often, I have just finished a fish in black and white, my first attempt and it is lovely, I am going to have a go at doing the love birds and the palm trees, keep going you are doing a brilliant job
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am new to Quillen and I have now a fire side project to play around with making all these Beautiful and lovely Little flowers. Thank you
I am a new to quilling. Your video is step by step and helps to understand the techniques. It is informative. All your videos are great to watch, and do so enjoy your sense of humour and comments. Great stuff. Thank you
I LOVED this tutorial! I have problems with coils not unwinding enough and sizing my pieces. So far you are the ONLY person that mentions specific sizes. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Your work is beautiful!! OMG flower 4! 😍 Thank you SO MUCH for your easy to follow instructions (and for listing supplies in the description!!). The hard work you put in these videos is very much appreciated!
Absolutely stunning work! Beautiful video. I have just recently began quilling and I found this to be just fascinating. I will be trying a few of these gorgeous flowers. Thank you so much. 😊
Wow! I’ve really missed your videos so thank you for sharing these techniques. I’m quilling some simple animal designs for my future great nieces nursery. I could add a lot to each project with your flower video. Have a great weekend!
That sounds like a fun project! I don't go to as many baby showers anymore these days, but a cute quilled animal would make such a terrific gift. I love that idea. Thanks for your comment! This video took so much longer to make than I thought it would, so I'm glad to finally get it posted!
Thanks for your very clear instructions. Your sense of humour makes this a very enjoyable video to watch! Please consider doing something similar with leaves… especially the long ones used with the purple crocus/tulip. You are correct, the flowers do look better with greenery. Great job.

Thank you so much Ann for this video. You are an excellent teacher showing every step for each flower. I have some questions though. Where to purchase the white template and cork board you used? And how to make the other shapes you created in number 4 for the background. Thanks again.
Hi! The white template came in a basic quilling kit I got on amazon (Juya brand) and the cork is just the back side of the template. As for the background shapes...boy I went a little hog-wild on that one didn't I? That could be a whole video in itself. Any shape in particular you're wondering about?
@@annigancreates6074 Not at all hog-wild just plain beautiful. Loved all the shapes. Please make another video on that. You did an excellent job!! Thank you!
@@joanschoppe4253 Well thank you! I like the idea of making a video on the background shapes. Unforturnately I haven't had much time for quilling lately but I'll see if I can get to it.
I've made earrings and a bracelet and I did NOT seal them. I think sealing them is a good idea since it will add protection from moisture and wear and tear. However the problem I have with it is that it changes the look. Usually the sealant is mod podge or glue and it makes the paper look strangely shiny, and I don't usually like the look of it for myself. But I might seal if giving as a gift, to provide longevity. Good question, thanks for asking!
I have just started to learn how to quill i would like to know from where did you purchase the quilling board pls provide the link if you have purchased it online i am from Mumbai india i am doing this as a bottle art
How fun! I got the board as part of a kit. You can go to Amazon and search "beginner quilling kit" and that should show you some options. Those kits often come with a board, paper strips, scissors, tweezers, slotted tool, needle tool. All the basics you need to start quilling, except glue.
Amazon I found had all types of quilling tools that make it so much easier. I found a kit that had everything I have seen in most of the videos! For me being a beginner it helped me be a lot quicker once I watched videos on how to use the tools and the basic shapes! Good luck
Do you mean for quilling inside a letter? I usually make my letters about 3 to 4 inches tall. That means you're making small pieces which may be hard for a beginner, but you also make fewer pieces and don't use up as much paper which is nice.
Serious? That stinks. I got it as part of a quilling kit and it does seem like cheap plastic, but mine has held up for several projects so far. It's not necessary for making flowers of course, but I really like how it can add a different look or texture to the flower.
The paper I used were pre-cut strips that came as part of quilling kits, so I didn't cut these myself. When I do cut my own strips, I use a paper cutter, with a cutting arm. It's very handy.
This art is at the peak of brilliance, the explanation is at the height of magnificence, and the works are at the pinnacle of excellence.

beautiful 😍
Thank you!
I loved this video. My question is, how to determine the lengths, of the strips, per flower, or leaf? Is it just guesstimated ?🎨
For each flower, as I begin a new part I show the strip lengths in the upper left corner of the video. Hope that helps!
Wooow super ❤❤❤❤
nagyon szépek köszönöm
Szívesen! Köszönöm a kedves hozzászólást.

If you were making earrings or another wearable, would you seal them somehow?

Does anyone know where to get the scale or the size measuring thingy I m not sure what is it called

What is a good size font for a beginner
Do you mean for quilling inside a letter? I usually make my letters about 3 to 4 inches tall. That means you're making small pieces which may be hard for a beginner, but you also make fewer pieces and don't use up as much paper which is nice.
What kind of paper ?
I used 5mm wide precut strips that came in kits, probably about 120gsm. But I'm sure you can make it work with different widths like 3mm or 7mm.
I got that exact style of crimper and it broke the first time I tried to use it. ;(
Serious? That stinks. I got it as part of a quilling kit and it does seem like cheap plastic, but mine has held up for several projects so far. It's not necessary for making flowers of course, but I really like how it can add a different look or texture to the flower.

How did u cut the paper

Going to make cards
That sounds perfect! How did they turn out?
😁 I used a tooth pick
Heck yeah!
