No mention of how Vanellope abandons her game to go live in another one, so the rest of the Sugar Rush denizens are homeless defeating the lesson of the first movie? No? Well okay then! 😂😂😂
Sugar Rush can continue to function to Venelopie.
She is one of 16 racers, and the game has a roster of 9 racers that change daily.
As long as the game has at least 9 racers in it, it continues to function.
Unfortunatly, the popularity of Sugar Rush won't last long.
It already isn't as popular by the time the movie starts - making less than $200 a year, Litwick had to sell one of the two consoles, so now players can only play single-player, and Venelopie's glitching abilities is probably what even got most of the players to keep supporting the game.
So yeah, eventually Sugar Rush would die from complete abandonment.
But Venelopie leaving the game still didn't make the game dysfunctional.

I feel like this sketch almost went too easy on Ralph Breaks the Internet. This was a mess of a film from pretty much every angle. Though I did appreciate how Ryan roasted the commenters on his videos.

Greatsaiyakirby Well the excuse in her case was “ah they have plenty of other racers nobody will notice. Plus they sure didnt notice her being gone the whole time King Candy was around” which is kind of true and depressing!
They also forgot to include that Vannillope being able to stay in Slaughter Race breaks one of the fundamental rules from the first movie; ie, you die outside your game, you die for good.
They hand wave it away with saying one of the characters from the other game she stays in adds her code to their game. That's some scary Skynet level stuff there.
Also, where's the taboo from the first movie about game hopping?

Not exactly. "Going Turbo" seems to means the main character abandoning the game and ruining it. Turbo seemed to be the only playable character in his game, in Sugar Rush there's lots of others, so while Vanellope's disappearance may upset some players, it wouldn't ruin the game (besides, she was kinda forgotten and unplayable for years prior to the first movie)

Vanellope was a total glitch in this movie, causing the steering wheel to break by refusing to move with the player’s commands and then going Turbo when that’s considered a super awful thing to do in the video game world. She’s all about Vanellope and what Vanellope wants.
It’s like “oh my god” but Disney is god as it should be!
The first movie was about forming friendships, and not seeking prominence in another person’s game.
The sequel was about not being a clingy friend, and starting up a new life in a different persons game.
So Turbo was the mature one in the first movie...
