Thank you very much for your incredible work Dan, no doubt this service has been of great help to the company where I work, I implemented it 6 months ago and no doubt now we handle much more order in the documentations, and processes. congratulate you because I have seen how this was evolving and each time it works better just come to make a few recommendations or perhaps queries - Have you thought of adding the possibility of creating a letterhead in the templates functionality? it would be ideas to create a letterhead where you can see a background image and you can export it in pdf. -At some point you could also give the functionality to add gif images, made with *gif to screen* would be a great help. -It would also be a great way to manage users by groups within bookstack, I mean that we can create groups of users and assign permissions to them, for example, that the human resources group can not see, for security reasons, the shelf of the systems department, and vice versa. Thanks again for your work DAN , Have a great 2024
Thanks for the kind words! - I have another video on the channel for adding a header/footer to a PDF. It might be possible to add a background image, but I'd imagine it could be quite fiddly/tricky. - Our image manage should support uploading gif images already. - There is already a full role-based permission system in BookStack. You use roles to create your groups of users. There are role-level permissions, and then you can control certain abilities on a per book/chapter/page basis. More details here: www.bookstackapp.com/docs/user/roles-and-permissions/
I wonder, when you do actions though the API, like creating a book, is it possible to turn off the history update the users see? I would like to start using the API, but I wonder if this will "drown out" the human edits.
The audit log is not currently exposed in the API. Existing request here: github.com/BookStackApp/BookStack/issues/4316 Note, these are all just in the database under an activities table if that helps.
@@BookStackApp is it possible to get an API using webhook which is existing on bookstack right now? Because, I've read that the webhook is integrated with the audit log. Actually, I still don't know what the function of the webhook is. Can you explain about that? Thanks before.
That's quite a significant topic. You could look at our source to see how we're doing it, although there may be easier options/libraries out there now.
Thank you! I really like the new template feature, where you in a book can default new pages to a template.
Thanks a lot for your work ! Bookstack has been my favorite wiki as soon I tested it
Thank you for this beautiful work. And best wishes for the new year.

That's not an option right now, changes via API will show in activity like any normal interface action.
Hi! Can u tell me, how can I get API for audit log feature? Thanks before😊
