The snap suplex makes more sense than the vertical. It’s fast, intense, and looks realistic. The vertical suplex starts to look like a circus move especially when held for too long. It becomes clear the guy who’s getting the move done to him is working with his opponent to remain vertical.
As Gorilla Monsoon once said watching Dynamite suplex a 300 pounder, "I think Dynamite Kid can suplex ANYONE". I grew up in Western Canada - note that Dynamite could also do every other suplex there was - absolutely perfectly. Along with just about every submission hold - with weird variants only seen in japan at the time!
@@Zilla-xx9es Would love to know how much popularity they gave wwf in the uk. I remember we used to get vhs tapes off my mates mates as it was only on satellite + cable and not many really had it late 80s into 90s. I do remember Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Macho man, Andre etc but the Bulldogs were everyones favourites even after they split it was just Davey. Those vhs got passed around like pron. We got satellite around 93, strangely I was less interested by then but that little 86-93 period was so good.
Saw Harry Smith wrestle in Vancouver at an indy show 3 years ago. During the match, someone yelled "come on bulldog Jr! Do it for dynamite!" I took a knee.
my favorite move...I saw the Dynamite kid in Bridgewater NS at the end of his career he still was the best...He WRESTLED For Grand Prix wrestling...some of his matches with them are on you tube
Can somebody explain how this move is done? I’ve never seen anyone perform it as fast as dynamite. Is the person being suplexed helping? I can’t work it out!
The crucial point are the legs. Notice how it looks like Dynamite is stomping the mat right before the throw? This has two purposes: first, he gets closer to his opponent and under his center of gravity by squatting lightly. Second, he immediately generates force for the throw by explosively extending his legs while he has his body already at a backward angle. Notice that different from a normal suplex, the bodies are never vertically aligned but while Dynamite's back alread faces the mat, his opponents back still faces the sky before he is snapped over. The move works similar to a tawara-gaeshi.

The irony is in this very team Davey did the stalling suplex
Yeah but that raw display of power with the delay is just so cool

The best to ever done it.
Kurt Angle
@@discoinferno112 not even close...
For me the best snap suplex is Chris Benoit.
@@thivankawijesooriya3088 Benoit’s was great too and his whole offensive repertoire was inspired by Dynamite (admittedly by Chris).
@@rustykuntz94 I agree.
Eat your heart out, Taz. Dynamite was the original Suplex Machine.
The move exemplifies Dynamite kid(Quick, short, explosive and devastating)

Gorilla always would put over Dynamite and his awesome snap suplexes.
Much ❤️ for gorilla and dynamite!!
@David Martin, wasn't the Kid pinned, anyway, snap suplex or not?
Like, never has a 1 minute, 2 second time period ... on the Internet lasted so long. Packed with action!

The original founder and mayor of Suplex City.
Simply nothing like a good old snap suplex
Best wrestler ever
Love it
The best one was the first one on Bret.
Was that Abdullah the Butcher at the 5 Second mark
Yup
連続で見ると圧巻! しっかり右手で受け身取ってる
Oh snap!
he had the best
Jesus he looks like he levels mfers with that shit. lol
Abdullah 😱
I was wondering if that was Abdullah the Butcher at the 5 Second mark
Didn't he do this to Curt Hennig, only to be cleanly defeated with the more effective Perfect-Plex?
