Absolutely brilliant venue.Saw James there last night sat right at the back but feels more closer than the AO arena and the atmosphere is better 😊can’t wait to go back there again 🎸🤩👹James were fantastic 🎉
Worth noting that even though the website only says "large umbrellas" are not allowed, our small (purse-size) umbrella was not allowed in and we had to discard it.
For me it was a lovely bucket list opportunity…. and ticked all the boxes bar one which was that the seats were quite small. 6ft tall guy next to me was pretty cramped. Having said that, the Co op Live arena was well manned for assistance staff. Co op concessions were well equipped food wise and well priced. Some other concessions were selling chicken burger baps for £12.50 with flavoured fries a further £5.50.
Thank you for your comment. You were right the prices inside were reasonable for arena prices. I just wish there were more food options on the third floor. Please you had a great time 👍
Could you advise what the security procedure involved please - we have some metal body parts. Are there body scanners or is it standard detector wands and pat downs?
It was OK, the best thing about it was the sound, the worst thing about it was the car park afterwards. It’s a shame there’s not more round it as it’s nice to have somewhere to go before the doors open. It would have also been nicer if there was a bit more choice of food on the top level as it was a bit awkward having to go all the way to the ground floor. Thank you for taking the time to comment 👍
Tip when leaving arena car park take sandwiches drinks crisps etc sit in car watch the entertainment of all the cars trying to get out same gap when it calms down drive out easy
Thanks for sharing. What section / row were you in and what was the view like? Ive got tickets for section 315 row 8 and worried rhey might not be the best seats.
The reason why we were up in the gods was that the ticket prices were more reasonable up there, I can’t bring myself to pay £150+ for a ticket when that can get you ten gigs at the grassroots level. In terms of was it worth it, I’d say yes, I thoroughly enjoyed the Doobie Brothers, and it was good to see the Eagles, although I’ve got to say that their performance was far too perfect in most of the gig. On balance I’m pleased I was there. 👍
@@icanseethestagefromhere yea, the price of some of those gigs is eye watering. Now I’d rather spend my money locally . Hmm yea, I saw a video that wings of Pegasus did, he did a comparison from two gigs and they were a little too perfect!
@andreasmith8204 I’ve seen the same video. The Doobie Brothers were working really hard. And their sound had an energy about it, where the Eagles just sounded perfect, but seemed to lack that energy about it.
@@icanseethestagefromhere yea, I don’t want the sound to be perfect, although I want it to be good, I want it to be of the moment, and that’s not always perfect. But it’s unique to that performance and I want that uniqueness!
I went there to see Liam Gallagher in June and I`m sorry but I`m not a fan of this arena at all. First the car parking is over priced and an nightmare to get out. There wasn`t an attendant to be seen and it was a free for all with many window down arguments taking place. The seats are cramped with the drink holders are stupidly placed in the middle of the arm rests so you are constantly hitting it with your elbow. If the lights are off going up or down the steps in the top tier is damn right dangerous. I saw more than one person nearly take a tumble. The food and drinks prices are the most expensive I have seen outside London. I got one pint and 2 cokes and it cost £ 19.00. That`s about 25% more than the Liverpool Arena for example and the food options on the upper level were extremely limited as you said. As for your comment about people videoing I for one would welcome a ban on it. I go to gigs to watch the band not to look at a forest of arms and bright screens. I wish all artists would the same thing. The best thing about the place is the sound quality which was fantastic.
Thank you for your comment, based on my experience I think your points are completely valid. Otter than the sound there isn’t much to attract me back there. 👍
I’ve just googled it and it suggests it’s 25 minute walk from the City Centre which is still a reasonable distance, and away from City Centre facilities.
I think it could be a lot better than what it is, but I wouldn’t call it terrible, there’s just nothing round it and the traffic management lets it down. As modern arenas go my favourite one is Leeds AO arena, it’s just a great design in a great location. Do you normally like arenas or do you prefer smaller venues?

No video recording because they were caught miming their concerts. Which I believe they did in Manchester also.
I did have video, but chose not to put it on UA-cam as other videos were taken down by the group.

It was like a security gate and then a wand search after if it detected anything. It was quite quick.
Parking at Ashton Moss Park & Ride or Droylsden Centre is a no brainer. Both on the tram line.
Thank you for the information, I’ll probably try that next time 👍
I work here. Always curious as to peoples/customers opinions of the place

Went last week
Travis were excellent and Killers Awsome
Coop live is very good but very exspensive for Food and Drink
Its in Manchester not London
Most arenas are the same in respect of food cost. It’s great you had a fantastic night 👍

Spot on advice 😂👍

I was about 2 rows from the very back, not sure what section we were in, if your row 8 you should be fine. 👍
I’ve done big gigs, I shy away from them these days. I couldn’t do the gods now I get vertigo! Is it worth it?

There's a good reason The Eagles don't want people recording. Think it's because they don't sing live on some tracks and don't want to be found out
I believe you are right 👍
40 mins to get a beer .
That’s not great
You can walk into the centre of Manchester in 15 mins it's not that far at all
I’ve just googled it and it suggests it’s 25 minute walk from the City Centre which is still a reasonable distance, and away from City Centre facilities.
@@icanseethestagefromhere Yeah it's not bad a walk to be honest mate .. Centre of Manchester closer than most people think 🤔

Dead right!
Sound quality and visuals are absolutely mega, and to be honest that's all that matters when it comes to a live show. Everything else is nit-picking.
