I purchased this kit about 35 years ago, and still use it to this day, and guess what, the square shaped teeth/blades I there, you can either have them sharpened or buy new ones from the company or send the head in, to the redirected company name, and they will sharpen or replace the whole head and send it back to you.. 2 to 4 hair cuts a month for many years... I have mine hooked up to a 1 gallon Shop-Vac, although the motor and housing is the same as the 5 & 8 gallon Shop-Vac units, the CFM seems faster on the one gallon Shop-Vac unit. The faster the CFM is, the faster the blade shimmy's back and forth, and never a snagged or pinched hair.. Funny story... The mother of my two boys, thought for the first 8 to 10 years, thought I was going to a Barber shop for my haircuts... And then ,when the boys came along, thought I was taking them to the barber shop too.. Please note, my lady had been in the hair styling industry for 10 years by that time, and even competed in national tournaments down in Florida and California and Minnesota.. and is very successful.. owns her own salon... One day, out in the garage I was dialing in the boys, and he heard the Shop-Vac running, but heard a strange sound in addition of like a hedge trimmer or sickle bar oscillating sound.. after about 5 to 8 mins of this strange sound she came out to seeing that, asking ng what in the heck... Lol... She didn't know whether to be mad or happy, or insulted, that this whole time, over the years, she didn't have to cut our hair, but at the same time, to find out, that a damn Flow-bee was making her boys and me look pretty sharp, lol... All the while, that performance wasn't from a barber, as if she wouldn't dare complain about men parting ways with their barber.. nope girl, always been the Flow-bee... About a month later, having found out, and her making peace with everything she had just learned... I stopped by to see her at her salon and had the boys with me and to bring her an orange milkshake from the deli around the corner from our home... And she asked her girlfriends and the couple customers that were there, what they thought about our haircuts, good bad, barber shop and so on .. they all said the basic same thing, looks fine, nice side fades and back fades, and even.. the two younger girls had no clue what a Flow-bee was, but everybodybelse did, and they laughed and had no idea they would actually pull that off... Of course, the whole story line from above explained to them that for years, she thought I was going to a Barber, and then just took it upon myself to deal with getting the boys acquaintanced to my barber as a "MANLY THING"... nope, just the good ole Flow-bee.. they laughed.. I don't know if I should be proud of him/them or insulted being this is my profession and have been out styled by a "As Seen On TV" piece of junk.. lol I have mine connected to a foot peddle to turn the Shop-Vac on/off, the rocker switch on the Shop-Vac itself is left on, but the foot switch is the remote on/off switch.. just unplug the foot switch to use as a regular Shop-Vac as normal for sweeping the floor.. Sure, it takes a moment to get used to the clear spacer gauges to the length to leave on the head for your side fade control depths.. but after that, piece of pie or easy as cake ..
I want another 1. We had one back in the day and it was awesome. Perect cut everytime. We hooked ours up to a shopvac. Not supposed to use a normal vacuum I dont think.
Need to up your game, hook it up to a woodworking shop cyclonic dust collection system. They have more volume and air speed. Makes my 15, 5, and 3 gallon shop vacs look totally lethargic. Lol
Don't anybody dare bad mouth the Flowbee!! That thing is a brilliant piece of homme economic engineering! Genuinely, I am 36, and I have had my hair cut with a Flowbee since I was 5. And in case people are thinking that these are just a passing fad, the company that makes these things sold so many during Quarantine that they were still on back order after it ended.
I rocked a hairstyle like that back in 2014, and I called it my mane. I thought I looked like the Denver's Broncos logo, even though I don't really care about the team in any way shape or form, and now that I see him with that haircut I can say that I definitely did.
When I was about 7 my mom tried to give me a haircut with 1 of these. It immediately started ripping my hair out and i started crying. That haircut lasted about 12 seconds.
So what would you give me for and original working Sega GameGear with extended battery pack for road trips, a name brand Sega briefcase to hold it all, like 4 games with original manuals, and It still works amazingly. Retro nostalgia unlocked.... Hitting frames in Lion King to try to beat it quick was my jam when I was a kid.
I was the family's guinea pig for this deal about 25 years ago. It tried to rip my hair out and I couldn't sit still for it, qnd after about 5 minutes of trying, we gave up. I never saw it again after that. I'm glad I can laugh about it now, hahaha 😅
When I was a kid my mom worked for As-Seen-On-TV and we as a very poor family got to try almost every item available and this was how we got our “bowl cuts”! 🤦♂️
Hey guys. I've just got an OG Xbox with some mod called Unleash. I thought it would be able to play japanese games, but it didn't read my copy of Steel Battalion. Do you guys have a ntsc u copy of this game?

Still have the one my parents used when I was a kid. My dad tries to use it once in a while, always ends up at the salon.
Love mine. Gotta start to long, then take 1 piece out at a time.

It’s the George Clooney! Pretty sure the value on these went up after he went on Kimmel & told the world he has used one forever!

I dunno man I have had countless haircuts with a flowbee and never had any problems 🤷♂️

My mother had one and always gave us haircuts with it, worked great
She's cute and funny he's just plain silly but there both 😎
Remindes me of Waynes World when they interview the Suck'n'Cut guy
his "invention" was based on this actual product
Congratulations on your surprise Amanda
The Kirby vacuum used to come with an attachment like that lol.

My mom used that once. My hair was long, got pulled right in and got stuck in the motors. Ripped out chunks of hair. Not worth $5

As a barber that is not a burst fade that is a low or mid fade . Burst is only faded around the ear in a cilindrical area
It’s actually a great device. My dad cuts his hair with it all the time.
I love the mullet
😂😂😂😂 not Jason's sweet mullet
My mom used one of those to cut my hair when I was a little kid! IT HURT SO MUCH
😂 it does look like a master piece
Oh wow, they used a set up like that in bootcamp. Obviously, much more industrial.
