Interesting and unique way to listen to the separate parts but a very different piece of music compared to the piano version which I feel is a better fit for this intriguing piece than the harpsichord. There is something so round and full and calmly pleasing hearing it on the piano.
i disagree it just depends on wich harpsichord you play it on, you'd want one with a rich deep tone, ofcourse that depends on teh maker, type like flemish, french, german, italian, english, etc, or the construction, is it a spionet? a virginal? or a normal harpsichord? does it have a buff stop? 6' 8" or even 16'? haprsichords are muhc more nuanced, and i feel like it really depends on the acutal harpscihord, but i can say nothing compares to this peice being played slowly on a nice deep and rich harpscihord, the strumming of the strings is truly beautiful
@@allyalison1043 It also sounds very nicely on a theorbo ! the sound of the lute is very intriguing, the "pitch" of treble strings allows to be dynamic but not too "noisy", while the mellow of basses sustain the chords... Like Bach, I think Couperin never touched the lute.
Dans les petites villes de province, dans le temps, il y avait un kiosque près de l'église où le dimanche des petites "harmonies" de vents venaient produire du Schubert ou du Strauss (pas Richard)... les enfants endimanchés se courraient après et on "posait" la grand-mère, veuve depuis 40 ans, sur un chaise... un peu ringard et suranné mais pourquoi pas !
@@michelrenard500 avec la musique de Couperin aucun rapport en effet, mais avec cette interprétation et notamment les vents, pour moi on y est. Le cliché est anachronique, mais pourquoi pas : la clarinette est bien signalée dans un orchestre presque 50 ans après la parution des barricades mystérieuses.
