Context ▶
▸ The JOJOLands (ザ・ジョジョランズ) is the ninth and current part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The story takes place on the volcanic islands of Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean. Jodio Joestar, a young boy living on Oahu Island, aspires to become extremely rich by reaching the apex of the world's mechanisms. Mark my words: Paco will be a Fugo without Araki backing out
Smooth Operators, being a small colony stand, would be noticeable. But considering the items that were dragged around by the lava rock, like the diamond and that cash bill, it would take just one Operator to move it around, thus more hidden. That is, until the watch was heavier and needed more manpower.
I hope gappy's story gets finished in part 9.

Might be a stretch, but the watch going into Dragona's Charm, which is a circle, with the lava rock, which is triangular shaped, under where the D, which stands for "Dragon"a, is, isnt it acting at lot like how Dragon's Dream worked in part 6???? Just sending the watch right where its luckiest for Dragona and unluckiest for the salesman/guards. It feels like a stretch I KNOW but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if this is Araki implying Dragon's Dream was a stand utilizing a Mechanism, that being Feng-Shui.
Well I'm a believer Dragon's Dream should be semi-included when discussing these Flow type stands, since it basically bended the actions/wills of living beings to ensure it's divinations came true

I thought through the whole Tooru in the game thing was fake at first cuz it didn't look that good. But the later pictures shown looks way better and I'm convinced now

All that "make up your mind", "going forward", "achievenig the apex of mechanisms" just confirms that Hirohiko Araki straight up based Jodio on Jobin and Kato's ideologies
Man, I love jojolion. And this is so sad that most of jojolion characters are depreciating with every single chapter of the jojolands
It's just weird that Jobin's "gorwing up" and Tsurugi/Ojiros's "finding the happiness" things now belongs to Jodio. I mean, just look at chapter 9. Jodio is literally being like Kato
For now Jodio is the worst jojo for me. He's really nothing at all. I don't feel any sense of his own personality in him. This part just makes me mad and yet I continue following up the story

I think Barbara Ann is gonna be targeted by whatever faction is going after the lava rock, as a last desperate measure to get Jodio to give it to them. Ever since chapter 1 i had the feeling that Jodio's crime life and his quest to get rich would put her in danger
And I think she's going to have a Stand.
A Stand that protects her without her knowing would be interesting.

So considering Fake Paco blended in so well and even people are saying they're possibly a Rock Human, this begs the question.
Is the transformation thing truly a "Stand ability" or perhaps maybe this tranformation is an ability current Rock Humans can do now?
Cuz remember the Rock Humans survive by taking peoples lives away from them, so maybe this is a supernatural version of it and they can LITERALLY take peoples identities.
I would love that tbh, considering that if it's again another stand ability, we're getting another reused concept hahaha, but whatever it would work perfectly too, I'm just having my utopic fantasies with jojo, good nostalgic feeling
This is what I'm thinking- we have seen multiple Rock Humans live as people whos lives they have taken, but iirc we never saw the PROCESS of them doing it. Like, they must disguise themselves as said person, otherwise how would they "steal their identity" and whatever this person is doing could possible be what that process looks like. I think you're onto something.
no, they steal the identity of babies or children that they probably kill and in case the person is an adult they just replace them without changing their appearance as we see in the case of damo tamaki when he replaced josefumi he just changed the photos of the documents and the bank data from morioh sites. ps: Tooru is an exception to the rule due to his stand's ability to take on appearances

I like how the rock almost works like Chariot Requiem. Where it uses everything it can to let the valuable item come to the holder of the rock, even your own stand subconsciously, and would be a further example of Part 5 callback
First enemy being a rock Yellow Temperence...that's cool.
The enemy hiding a sword/knife under the wax/rock/skin? that is covering them reminds me of that one scrapped light novel idea where a character had a stand that developed items beneath their skin. Can't remember which one or the guy's name but I do remember that being a thing
Metallica already does this (though it's other people's skin). Considering the cloaking ability this new villain also has is shared with Risotto it might be a parallel to that.
There are a few abilities that have to do with manipulating fortune. Love Train, Wonder of U, Ticket To Ride. Usually those powerful abilities are introduced late in the story so it's interesting to see Araki introducing some kind of fortune manipulation abilities early in the story.
Ngl I was feeling kinda iffy about this part. I found the stand cats battle pretty confusing to follow but this chapter was so well paced and interesting I’m hyped to see the next one

Imagine if this entire part is just them getting the diamond and being sidetracked a dozen times as new enemies pop up to fight over the lava rock. I mean Part 5 was pretty much entirely a single escort mission so we all know how many battles and arcs Araki can put into a single day.

Hell yeah man I’m glad the break is over this chapter was so good and that reveal at the end with the fake paco was awesome the artwork was great. Idk what to even speculate now I’m just ready for the next chapter seems like a rock human though or maybe just a stand. Awesome to see wonder of u as dlc I really wanted yasuho or jobin but this will be cool to see also I’m just glad it’s not one of the worst jojo characters joshu

Just read it today and I KNEW that wasn't paco, or at least paco was a traitor or something. Like there was no way Paco would just be giving up like that, I knew that had to either be an imposter or paco being a rock human. Also, I feel like this might be an alternative Mario Zucchero, makes way too much sense, the outer shell, the blade, seems very suspicious.
Could it be that the Holy Corpse was "destroyed" by the US government by throwing it into a volcano (kars?)? although it wasn't completely destroyed...

The lava rock reminds me of the requiem arrow, but instead of granting the user's wish by anymeans once, it brings what you want all the time.
It's also at the start of the story instead of in the end.
