I love the rewind yarn, I made a sun hat for my mother and just used the yarn doubled for the brim to prevent it from becoming too floppy.

I recently made a summer hat using this yarn. It was the sewrella hat,took 1and less than a 1/4 skein. It looks like it has a raffia feel,but its very soft and STURDY! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
melody...how amazing that you are talking about Rewind yarn...I am making a summer hat, but my friend wanted it in white and that color does not come in this brand...so my next choice was Raffia ribbon yarn....I kept wondering why is it not soft so now I have ordered the rewind in a beautiful blue and make another hat with that. I was told if I did not have the rewind I can work with Rafia...so lets see how it turns out.

Hi and thank you for review! To be honest I’m just falling in love with lion brand - but hearing it is going out of business 😟. You are so right about the amount of yarn needed for a hat - they say 1 ball but yes you need 2.
I just heard they are opening up a huge new facility in Georgia. I hope they don't close. I love their yarn!
So…just got this. I love the look and feel…BUT!…with the slightest tug it breaks! I will be knitting and it has actually just pulled apart and shredded. ☹️ very frustrating!
Yes, it looks so much lighter on the website. In real, much darker.

No, it feels just like a Caron Cake yarn if you have used that. I don't think I could break it with my hands.
