I learned the hard way on this. Use a coil cleaner on AC unit at least once a year depending on how often you use on the AC. If not cleaned well on a regular basis, you might end up like me having to replace the whole AC unit prematurely or, worse, going through two fan motors before the compressor goes. If the coils are clean, there's a lot lest strain on other parts.
I will also add repacking bearings by pulling the tires completely off and not using a bearing buddy. This year I found a cracked hub and if I was lazy and used a bearing buddy I would have never caught it.
Thx WOTG for an informative and interesting video. You might wsnt to add checking seals and sealant on rubber roofs, windows, slides (if equipped) and doors at least quarterly earnings to keep the water out from destroying rig structure and furnishings. Happy Camping.
I just put a cup of bleach in the fill hose and then fill the tank. It probably takes only an hour or so, but I let it sit overnight figuring there's some air pockets and the bleach might take longer to get to them. Also, get pure bleach. There's some with fragrance add and you don't want that. Don't ask me how I know, lol.
Use 1/4 cup of bleach per fifteen gallons of fresh water and pour it down the end of your hose before you hook it to the camper. Then, hook the hose to the camper, fill the tank and run the solution through all your plumbing fixtures. Let the solution sit overnight, then drain solution, refill with fresh water and run through plumbing fixtures to rinse system. Finally, drain the fresh water system and you are sanitized. Also, bypass your hot water heater before you do the procedure. There is no need to run bleach water through your hot water heater.
Thank you for the info!
Cleaning the water filter screen on the water pump from all the harmful deposits. Same with sink faucet head screens.

Do you have any idea how to put bleach in a fresh water tank on a 40’ solitude. I know how to put water in it but not bleach.

We add the bleach solution to the fresh water tank vent (after removing its cover). Thanks for watching this one and for commenting.
