  • This first part is for building the cover for a 12”x12” not so mini album. This is a wedding album and I am really looking forward to showing you step by step how to do this. The construction of this album is new to me but I have enjoyed using this system. The pages inside are 11.5” x 11.5” as you need the half inch to attach the pages. The next album I do will be using my usual method which will give a page size of 12”x12”.
    The items I used today are:
    White plywood 12”x12” pack 25 from Amazon
    www.amazon.co....
    Black plywood 12”x12” pack 25 from Amazon
    www.amazon.co....
    Tyvek Paper 105g A4 pack 10 from Amazon (not fabric)
    www.amazon.co....
    I do not get any money by giving you these links, they are just the items I used and you will be able to get these items from other places, I use Amazon so those are the links I will list.
    I really hope you enjoy this first part, making the cover isn’t exciting but very necessary and as I haven’t shown you an album with this system I needed to show you how. Anyone can make this album, if you think you can’t, trust me you can. It’s a step by step tutorial.
    Big crafty hugs
    Cin xx

    Hi Cindy , never ever stop doing what you do they way you do things , your great and the most wonderful big hearted person that I know . Your an amazing person . I think we all worry about what others think but you are not the person that would copy / use other people’s idea . I know If you ever have done something that is similar to someone’s else’s idea you make sure you say on video where you got the idea from . Anyone that knows you they will agree . There are some very horrible spiteful people in this world , it’s probably down to the fact that they are jealous or not got enough in their own lives to keep them busy . So they choose to upset others . Don’t let them win ...... otherwise you won’t have Gaynor to slap your legs . Lol . Seriously though ignore them and carry on helping us that appreciate you and your talent . Lovely to see you back , missed you loads . Stop teering up . 😀🥰. Xxx

      Angela my darling, as a stamp set says, I love you more than my stamps ...... and that’s a LOT. That is true. You are one of my dearest friends and you support me through thick and thin. I also know if I needed an ear, then I could call you. Thank you so much for your words, they mean so much to me and I really do mean that. I’m going to get my hubby to come pick you up and you can come craft for the day. When your back needs a break, I have a spare bedroom for you to relax until your ready again. You are among my supportive friends, and I thank you my darling. I will send your goodies tomorrow 😘💕😘 Cin xxx

Your support means the world to me, so thank you 😘. I hope you will enjoy the rest of the album, the first bit is always so dull. Big hugs to you Tracey 💕💕 Cin xxx

    The Steampunk romance papers are stunning. I can't wait to see it come about. I am curious about the dies as I have seen different ways to make the spine, so I am anxious to see how they will do it.

    Just come across your Chanel, really enjoyed your tutorial. My first album I made a few weeks ago was pants, just finished a small one. Its definitely better than the other one 😀 I find it very interesting people's take on doing the spine and hinges I am still learning tfs x👍

    • @cinderspapercraft89
      @cinderspapercraft89  5 років тому

      Janette I don’t believe for one second your album was pants. We are our own worse critics, I bet if you sent me pictures I would absolutely adore it. Small albums are easier to do, that’s for sure, and for some reason they are my favourites 😊. I got an order for this so that’s why I’m going big! There are three ways of doing the spines and covers and I am going to show all three so people can decide which way they like it. If you see the very first tutorial I did for an album, I used the method that so far is one that I love. I used it on the baby album I did as well. Now that was a marathon album, as I did side slots for the 12 months of accomplishments on, so that made it 24 pages and 12 near full size side inserts, that nearly put me off doing any more!! I would love to see your albums. Thank you so much for joining my crafting friends, I cherish all my friends and am pleased to meet you 😊. Big crafty hugs xxx Cin xxx 💕

    I'm happy to see your goodies and all the other options out there. I absolutely love that blue paper you showed. I LOVE shades of blue, but Cobalt is my favorite.
    Oh speaking of other options, who makes that jewel picker you got fired lady G? So pretty. I have the spellbinders die brush and I bought the little pack of tiny balls of different sizes to dry emboss flowers and such. I just love that thing. I recently got the pack from EC Success I believe is the manufacturer of a 3pk of scoring tools. Each have two sizes on each end and feel like a pen in your hand. One is pretty pointy and great to use as a pick tool and for scoring on paper when it's not in a scoreboard. Like when you have to use the ruler to measure a seam. It works great for that.

    Everyone missed you. Don’t you dare worry about anybody who tries to hurt you. They are just jealous of your creativity and individual way of crafting. I send you a slap on the backside in this message. Ditch the so called friend. Also I would love to receive your practice album. Sending giant hugs your friend from Canada. 🤗. Go with mulberry lane.

    Just starting this video now, warning as I tend to comment as I watch a video. I am horrible about rambling too, so forgive me. I just wanted to say I am so so very sorry that someone would accuse you of stealing their ideas. Especially with it being someone you considered a friend. I know that is personally painful as well. I endured something similar from an Author I edited for, and grew to think of as a friend. Just imagining anyone else enduring that pain, hurts my heart. Bless your heart. Gonna shut up now and watch this beautiful piece come into it's own.

    You probably already know this by now, but black paper has different types of fibers. It is very hard to get a clean cut with any black paper unless you use a guillotine or a brand new blade each time. I tend to keep a foam fingernail block nearby and just dust off the edges. Hope I can help you in some way.

      Hello my lovely Ann 😊. I am always thrilled that you do my albums. I am happy to send you the embellishments I am going to use as some of them you might not be able to get. I always buy in bulk and when one of my favourite craft shop has good items I grab a stash that will take me forever to use! I will send what I use if you want to do a copy. So far you are the only one who has shown an interest in the test album, so you might be getting one ready made up!! Unless you want the blank shell to decorate yourself? We can sort that out after if no one else is interested. Big hugs to you my lovely one. Cin 💕😘💕

    where did you get that trimmer from???

    • @cinderspapercraft89
      @cinderspapercraft89  5 років тому

      Ann, I got the trimmer off of Amazon. I don’t know if you can get it there but I will have a look. It’s very light weight but it trims so well. It’s cut through the thick grey board, which I didn’t think it would. It’s not as fancy as others, but it cuts beautifully, it’s safe, I can cut angles which is great and most importantly the blades last and when they need replacing they come in a pack of 5 and are about £6. Between my Tim Holtze trimmer and this I am set now 😊💕💕
