best value for money signing we made since fergie left. it's shameful how much the united fanbase un derrated his contributions. His stats, which are good, don't tell the story of how useful it was to have an option to use long ball to escape a heavy press when you have someone on the end of it who can bring it down on his chest and keep possesion rather than desperately flick it on; he arguably had the best chest in world football. The amount of space he created for other players because he had to be marked in the box, his usefulness defensively against the long ball and set pieces...there's a reason why he was rated highly byu three of our managers (whetever their faults, 3 separate managers can't be mistaken about a player's worth). had we given him the respect he was due, he'd still be in the squad, comming off the bench and doing his job

I’ve watched this video so many times and considering it was announced that fellaini’s retirement was on Saturday I watched the video again he was one of my favourite man united players
Fellaini secretly had one of the most underrated word cups for a player, he was so good in 2018, he’s one of the most undervalued man United players in recent times because him under mourinho was a deadly weapon, it was like a cheat code because he would come on late and make deadly late runs and score not to mention he gave everything he could for mourinho
It was nice to have him around, he's no Roy Keane or Paul Ince but he did have physical presence, I always hopeful that one day he'd become "The Equaliser" but there were only fits & starts... But, used to buy him for every club I'm manager of in FIFA
Absolutely beast machine of a unit. Bought his man u shirt and backed him all the way. People tried to make him a meme but he was phenomenal anywhere on the pitch. Box to box
In a squad fellaini is a unique and important offering. Jose understood him perfectly, he was a chaos footballer. You put him in the side to upset an opposition player or to change the tide of a game because he was carnage in the box. I think in a better side he wouldn’t have been given such a bad wrap by us fans.
A "Utility Player" for Manchester United. Personally, I didn't cry when he left Old Trafford. But he was very good in the air (this is somehow what is expected from such a tall player) and scored decisive goals. Had a lot of presence in the penalty area. What I appreciated about him was his "never say die attitude" and his professionalism.
Ohh this guy, i miss him so much. Back when we had this guy, with Lukaku, Ibra, and Pogba upfront with Young, Mkhi, or Valencia delivery🤤 with Mou as a manager, we always scores headers. Now we have Ronaldo, Maguire, Varane, McTominay, Cavani and Pogba with Bruno, Shaw, Sancho delivery still hasn't been anything compare to that one. Barely scores a header🤣 oh fellaini you are fcking underrated, Thank You for eveything legend🙏👑
He was fantastic for Everton. An absolute menace for a side like that that was short on overall quality but he could always provide a danger and make teams focus on him and thus lose focus elsewhere, as a Man United fan I only have to look at how they came back to get a draw at Old Trafford in 2012. Almost exclusively went through him. Problem he had was that he had too much of an engine too be a traditional holding player and was also too useful around the opponents box to have him as a traditional 6. If he had gone too a team that didn't need to rely on his ability in the air offensively and had been coached on how to sit as a midfielder, who kept it simple but could pop up with a goal every now and then and also pick a useful pass, he would be a much better player. A Marcos Senna type who was outstanding for Villareal and Spain.
Essentially the Beligan Peter Crouch. He was iconic at Everton alongside Tim Cahill receiving absolute peaches from Leighton Baines, Arteta and Pienaar
I liked him. I think the managers weren't sure how to unleash his full potential. They tried to make him a defensive midfielder, when he was the best ahead. He was great under Mourinho and in first Van Gaal season. I will remember him well, he saved us many times (Young Boys, Derby County, Liverpool in 2016 [not included in this video]).
Funny thing is most of them 22 goals he scored we're equalisers or game winners😂 not one consolation goal to his name, he was crap but he did what he needed to do
And now we don't have a plan when we go down by one goal. Ole why didn't you give this man a chance last time? He was crucial to us for many games. Did a few mistakes and he was a scapegoat.
I reminisce from time to time about this guy in our squad. Fellaini will go without being appreciated as much as he was worth. Can you guys imagine if we had him under fergie? Felle would 1000% have thrived under Sir Alex.
Kudos for this video, what a shame ManUtd sold him like nothing happened, no tributes nor video. I know he is not good enough player but still better striker than Rom Lukaku
Nick Deakin Valencia leaving was a mistake from United. United weren't interested in offering him a contract. United's right wing is a huge problem in which Valencia can resume his position there for at least 2 more seasons before leaving for Ecuador. Man isn't as good but right now he can ease the situation at United. Even after United stabilize that problem, I reckon he is still have the abilities of an average prem player that can remain till 38-39.
