Continuing the trend of NES games based on popular Japanese TV shows, Jetman is apparently about multi-colored heroes and robots duking it out. No, it's not Power Rangers.
This movie probably qualifies for "Quickest Giant Robot Fights."
Hiroyuki Iwatsuki's music never disappoints.
Fun fact: Angel was Natsume's short-lived pseudonym for contract work on licensed games.
“No, it’s not Power Rangers.” Sometimes the simplest descriptions are the best on a TAS run.
Actually, Sentai are what they call 'Power Rangers' of Japan. In fact, Power Rangers is a clone of typical Sentai series like Google5.
@@millrrs Incorrect. Super Sentai And Power Rangers are two different franchises. In fact, the frst Power Rangers seasons is an adaptation of the Super Sentai "Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger", which uses the same suits, japanese stock footage and mechas, but with a different plot and new actors. This is the same for every season that came after since they adapt some super sentai as well. There's also the fact that in Japan they also dub Power Rangers in japanese (Yes, they dub the adaptation of a series they already have, i'm serious)
@@MettatonBrinstar No, no. You're making mistake. 'Sentai' is not a franchise, rather a type of series when 5 young humans are chosen to wear armor suits to fight the evil enemies. Google V, Changeman, Jetman, etc...
The denomination has nothing to do with franchise. Power Ranger is the only 'sentai' that make sucess outside of Japan because act like an adaptation.
@@millrrs I agree with you that associating Power Rangers as an adaptation of Super Sentai is fine. Some are very loose, some are actually pretty close. Ranger is even in a lot of Super Sentai series' titles.
I'll disagree that it isn't a series name though. I'm pretty sure Toei trademarks the Super Sentai name, and the name appears in some titles/releases. Also the Shout Factory international releases used the branding. The broader genre umbrella is tokusatsu, though that encompasses everything from Kamen Rider to Ultraman to the old Metal Hero shows like Shaider and Gavan.
I've loved the Jet Icarus fight theme in this game for years
I can’t help but laugh a little at the thought of the people dressed in the robot and monster suits having to jump around - especially that one-legged hop the hero robot does.
First time playing this got me confused because kind of looked like Power Rangers but that was not the dino megazord. I even figured that maybe it was from a season that still was not out yet in my country. I also thought the final boss was Lord Zedd lol.
It was not until years later I've found out about the super sentai in Japan and that this was from a different series than the dino rangers and that the final boss is actually called Destruction Beast Semimaru.
Ah, so nostalgic. I wish this game had a remake though ^^
I used to love playing this game
4:14 Flame Mammoth’s older brother?!
(seriously, though, this game has some really, really good music)
Red ranger, that's an interesting choice
Juegaaazoooo! 🤩
The best game!5"!
invincible, how smart
When i play this game,i choose black condor
Was there a reason for not playing the stages in order?
Also, where's Green Eagle?!?
Green Eagle was the sequel manga only character, made to replace Black Condor after his... retirement
That final boss... >_
Not a great game, quite repetitive with such flat levels but this game engine was reused for the cool game "Shatterhand" (rebranded version of "Tokkyuu Shirei: Solbrain").
This a fun little Po- I mean, Rainbow Rangers game.
