I remember my aunt saving bacon grease and lots of jars during the wartime in the 1940s what was done with that bacon grease I should have asked her too late now all my family is gone to the Happy Hunting Ground and why do they call it the Happy Hunting Ground, nothing happy about that I don't want to go LOL good talk.🥰
My mom used bacon grease in place of butter when using the big skillet to add flavor to what she was cooking. Since I am an avid fan of bacon, I truly liked the added flavor. ❤
