I love this man yes.. it’s nice to know even with all of his training he’s still a down to earth guy.. he makes learning these stuff fun.. It’s not easy to sit in the bushes and speak to a camera alone.. so appreciate it.. ❤❤❤
I love your channel...you keep it simple for those of us with very little experience who need the extra time and effort you put into your video presentations. Thank you for that. Looking at some of the comments about your firewood carrier, I saw one naysayer. Actually, that's not bad. Remember, no matter how frustrating a naysayer might be, that you have many more yeh!sayers that are thrilled with your channel and the content you share with us. Your "paying it forward" benefits a lot of people as is attested to by the number of subscribers you have and the fact that that number keeps increasing. Again, I thank you for all that you share with us.
I had a retired naval instructor working as a course teacher in my first factory training class back in the late 70's. Your videos teach in the same style as he did. It was one of the best among the many repair and service courses that I took over my career. Thanks for sharing.
I just want to give you an honest thanks I've been subscribed to your channel for a long time now and I just love how clear and presentable everything on your channel is. keep up the good work man!
Great idea. I suppose one could use any variety of knots as long as you secure both sticks to the cordage. Makes managing firewood easier, with no loose armloads slipping about. Thanks for sharing.
wow, never thought about quick measurement from the center point of your chest to the end of your arm. Seriously, actual mind blown. Love this channel.
Great stuff as always. I find your videos to be an invaluable resource of information that has translated through to many hikes for me. Keep up the great work!
I'm glad your said tie whatever knot you want. I thought if you weren't going to reuse this rope this might be a good opportunity to use a constrictor on both ends. I don't camp, but when I was a kid my Dad always made me bring in firewood for our fireplace. This would have been awesome.
Thank you for this! I love camping but living in Florida makes it difficult when it's blazing heat 9 months out of the year, so I try and get as much camping done when it's "cooler." I have gotten comfortable going solo camping but the workload is definitely a challenging experience! I have had a helluva time trying to figure out the best way to carry firewood, from piling them ontop of each other and dragging them behind me like a sled (which works, but it sucks when everything falls off because it got caught on something), to piling them into a ruck, to just carrying them by the armfull and making 600 trips into the woods. I'm a small gal, so that much is definitely a challenge in and of itself. I really appreciate your time to show us newbs how to make our lives a little bit easier! I have learned how to make 4 (technically 5) types of knots in about 30 minutes from watching your vids! I made a few myself and have credited you in them! :)
My new favorite video channel. Incredibly informative. From a former "water duck" to a "jarhead," "Your info is outstanding!" I look forward to more of your videos.
Great video! I hitch the ends of a 7' cord to both ends of a handle stick, then girth hitch fairly widelythe middle of the cord around the firewood bundle. If the cord is too long for your bundle, wrap the cord ends around the handle in opposite directions until the length is perfect.
Great system, and thanks for showing it. I'll pass it along to my Scout troop so maybe they will back more than one or two sticks at a time when they go out to gather firewood!
So useful. I found myself completely useless with a bunch of rope and a load of branches I needed to move and I felt like a fumbling fool even though I was a girls scout and learned a bunch of knots as a child. Thanks for this useful video!
Nice. I've also done a suitcase type firewood carry using a killick hitch with an extra half hitch at the killick end and some slack between the timber hitch and killick to use as a handle - you'll need gloves because the rope handle won't be as comfortable as your stick handle but it's pretty quick. I'll give this method a try. I mostly do 2 bundles, one in each hand, which is easier than one for balance reasons. I've even put the 2 bundles on a long stick and rested the whole thing on my shoulders when I have room to move.
I invented the same thing 15 years ago for my daughters. Afterwards, they refused to get wood, unless could use the harnesses. Mine was made of metal electrical conduit with old seat belts threaded through. Easily converted to haul small logs from the forest too.
Nice concise vid, very clearly explained. Got me thinking though, if I only had the paracord, wouldn't want to cut it. St thinking how to do this with one piece, maybe an alpine butterfly to get an inline loop over short stick, run along the stick, same again, back down to the long stick.
Sir, With the rocks as your background, the cover on your head it all reminds me of "The Woodsmaster " the late and great Ron Hood. He had a very simple approach to survival, which I see in your videos. Thanks please keep making them
So simple of and useful. Will use this on my next fish shorelunch when collecting wood for firepit.Thankyou Sir for another great educational video. From the great white north of Ontario, Canada. Keep your stick on the ice and fishing pole in the water.
Very good! I hate carrying firewood too. I would like to know a better way of carrying multiple splits off of logs. The triangular wedges always create a difficult load for me and i usually just load them up under my arm by hand and I wonder if cordage will work with them too.
I'll say it again....you know your shit brother thx for invaluable insight on ...."if you want to cut bullshit & get it done watch a Marine do it".....Semper Fi !!
Do you think it would work with a simple slip knot (from a marline spike) on both sticks? The more I think of it, the more I believe this would work by simply doing the same slip knot (twice per stick, of course) on both sticks. A slip knot would equal that bowline with the cordage inside of the larger stick. And in the smaller stick, you are doing a slip knot already.
Cpl Kelly. Giving us ELOs and TLOs without telling us they're ELOs and TLOs. Outstanding channel. Semper Fidelis.
I love this man yes.. it’s nice to know even with all of his training he’s still a down to earth guy.. he makes learning these stuff fun.. It’s not easy to sit in the bushes and speak to a camera alone.. so appreciate it.. ❤❤❤
this channel is one of the best things online.
Please share it with others and thanks for watching

WOW, what a great and easy idea to carry wood!! I learned some more knots as well. Thank you! I salute you too, and G-d bless!
My backcountry skills and pack have improved so much since I’ve been watching your channel. This wood carrier is perfect.... simple and useful.

Such a simple idea, but so useful. Great video!

Camping is a lot of fun and little things like this make the chores easier. 👍
What a easy system to carry any loose unruly material! Thanks for sharing!
I'm going to get some firewood today so I had to look up this video to refresh the knowledge of these knots and this device :-)
No bullsh*t. Just quality info.
Great idea. I suppose one could use any variety of knots as long as you secure both sticks to the cordage. Makes managing firewood easier, with no loose armloads slipping about. Thanks for sharing.
Spending the day letting your videos run in the background. Getting ideas for my scouts to practice. Outstanding.
Outstanding. My dad does firewood runs in the woods a lot, multiple trips at a time, so this would help him immensely.
Another great video! Thank you Corporal Kelly! Hope you’re enjoying winter in the Valley.
wow, never thought about quick measurement from the center point of your chest to the end of your arm. Seriously, actual mind blown. Love this channel.
Really great video. You’re a really good instructor.
Great stuff as always. I find your videos to be an invaluable resource of information that has translated through to many hikes for me. Keep up the great work!
Brilliant and simple , works for fireplace wood at your house also, Thanks!! I liked and subscribed !!!

...another great video. Simplicity and function. The foundation of woodcrafting...
My new favorite video channel.
Incredibly informative.

Another outstanding tip. This, plus your video demonstrating the timber hitch with a marlin spike handle has made things easier in the field.
I love your channel ❤! When I forget a certain knot? I immediately look up your channel! Cheers from Australia 🙂 👍👍👍
Good lord that’s awesome!! It funny because you make it look so simple yet everyone (myself included) struggles with the firewood load.

Great system, and thanks for showing it. I'll pass it along to my Scout troop so maybe they will back more than one or two sticks at a time when they go out to gather firewood!
So simple and so handy. Nice job. Thanks !
I made two of these today to carry some wood from the pruning I did recently. THANK YOU!!! #Application
So useful. I found myself completely useless with a bunch of rope and a load of branches I needed to move and I felt like a fumbling fool even though I was a girls scout and learned a bunch of knots as a child. Thanks for this useful video!
Thanks corporal. I've been clearing out a LOT of bamboo. It's not heavy but awkward to manage. This is perfect. Salute!
That just simplified carrying wood. simple to make as well. Great knowledge.
That's a super neat idea too carry firewood and simple 👍

Another fine bit of wisdom to add to the mental tool box.
Outstanding and awesome as always Thanks for sharing and taking us along
That's a great idea! This is the best system I've seen for carrying wood.
Great video dude, straight to the point
Simple and brilliant! Thanks for sharing, that's definitely something that's going in my notebook!
I invented the same thing 15 years ago for my daughters. Afterwards, they refused to get wood, unless could use the harnesses. Mine was made of metal electrical conduit with old seat belts threaded through. Easily converted to haul small logs from the forest too.
I already mad it. Thanks your videos are always well made. Keep them coming.
The right video I was looking for, thank you!
I'll use this when I go camping next week. Thanks
Until the next class, hug from Brazil....
Took some notes, and definitely am going to use this on my camping trip this wknd.
That's pretty useful, thanks for passing on the knowledge!

An easy and elegant way to transport firewood, thanks for the trick
Nice concise vid, very clearly explained. Got me thinking though, if I only had the paracord, wouldn't want to cut it. St thinking how to do this with one piece, maybe an alpine butterfly to get an inline loop over short stick, run along the stick, same again, back down to the long stick.
HI from Ireland,,, your vids, are so good.....thanks
Sir, With the rocks as your background, the cover on your head it all reminds me of "The Woodsmaster " the late and great Ron Hood. He had a very simple approach to survival, which I see in your videos. Thanks please keep making them
it is my tribute to him. Thanks for watching
great and easy idea to carry wood
Yes carrying firewood sucks! Especially losing half if not all your load. Excellent idea!
Thx for the share.
So simple of and useful. Will use this on my next fish shorelunch when collecting wood for firepit.Thankyou Sir for another great educational video. From the great white north of Ontario, Canada. Keep your stick on the ice and fishing pole in the water.
simple and smart great job
Thanks again for sharing knowledge.
Outstanding demonstration!, Gonna try this out!
I will be using this on next camping trip. Thanks.
Awesome Idea! I can not wait to try this. Thanks Corporal O7
Ive used a similar technique for years. I will have to try this one with the stick handle, thanks
Really good watch, oddly calming.
Very good! I hate carrying firewood too. I would like to know a better way of carrying multiple splits off of logs. The triangular wedges always create a difficult load for me and i usually just load them up under my arm by hand and I wonder if cordage will work with them too.
The knot work alone, is enough to keep me watching. Basics are the basis of survival.
i've used this technique for years. it works great
I do basically the same, but use mule tape..love the channel..
Simple and useful. Thanks for sharing it.
Another great video. Thank you.
It’s like a wilderness briefcase
Good video as usual. You always got helpful info. Thank you!

Outstanding. So funny, I was just thinking about how to do this for camping this year.

Gracias de nuevo !!👍
Great video many thanks will try this out next time i am out in the bush
I saw Dan's video too. I subscribe to his channel also. Good information from you guys.
Wow! Mind boggling.
That’s very clever and effective
Genius! So simple!!!!
Great idea, thanks to you both!
If you made two (or more) of these you could attach them to a yoke and carry quite a lot of firewood.
I understood it in the first two seconds, but it was interesting. I feel bad bouncing, so i will leave this comment :)
Excelent!! Love it! Saved to FAVS!!!
This is so useful! Thank you!!!
Outstanding!

Great way to carry alot of wood
