Ignoring the early warning of rain, the two of us set out for the land of red soil and Palash. As it was rainy season at the time of my departure, we did not have the good fortune to see Palash, but the beauty that we witnessed was not to be forgotten. In this video we have tried to highlight all the experiences of our trip. So watch the video to the end.
In the morning we took the 08085 Kharagpur Ranchi Memu special train for Adra. We rented a car and went to Baranti. Our driver was Parimal ([phone]). Now on the way we will see Joychandi hills and Garhpanchkot.
Joychandi is the place where the shooting of "Hirak Rajar Deshe" took place. Being an avid fan of Satyajit Ray, this place is more important to me than any other place. So, ignoring the fatigue of the train journey, we started to climb about 450 stairs. After climbing a little higher, we reached the temple of Chandi Mata and Bajrangbali. The surroundings looked great from this top. Infinitely vast green and the town in the middle of it.
As soon as we saw it, we drove to the next destination Garhpanchkot. First we visited the Pancharatna temple of Radha Krishna. This terracotta temple has enhanced the beauty of the hill several times. There are several small shops around this temple. You can have tea or coffee there. They also serve lunch if ordered.
Now we will go, Baranti. This Baranti Lake is at the foot of the Muradi Hill. There are many places to stay, have been built next to this lake. Our booking was at Ankhibari Family Village Resort. The details are given below along with some other resorts too.

Next day, our driver took us to today's first destination, "Panchet Dam". This dam is formed on the Damodar river in the lap of Panchkot or Panchet hills and is under Damodar Valley Corporation. Built in 1959, the dam divides Dhanbad in the north and Purulia in the south.
Maithon Dam is just an hour and a half away from this road of Panchet Dam. We went for boating by selecting a boat from Babu Boating ghat. It costed around ₹1000 for both of us. We visited Spoon Island, Small Island & the famous Lock Gate.
As we had to back today, our train was from Asansol. So on the way back we visited the Kalyaneshwari temple. This time, however, it was our turn to return. You are requested to subscribe the channel as it will motivate us to make such videos.
