thank you for having me, it was a pleasure i agree with your take on narrative. i want to say that there is so much "good looking clothes" out there, and narrative allows me to contextualize the design choices from a designer / brand, and find a different kind of connection between the garment and the world it exists in. at least for me, this is where the fun is.
I’m loving your content recently…it really makes me proud as an Irishman that we have a young talented fashion commentator. It’s nice to hear “my own accent” talk on these topics. I can’t describe it but it helps make it feel a little less alien & remote because usually these topics are being covered by people from other countries, often in big global capitals & that can make fashion feel remote or “not for us”. I really hope you get all the opportunities you deserve
I can completely relate except I'm not Irish at all I'm from Miami. Even though it's a big city I still feel completely isolated as well, no one around me seems to have a true interest in fashion
Im almost 80 but I find this site great and very refreshing. I used to run my teenage daughter and her friends up to Melrose from boring orange county almost every weekend in the 90s, that was real fun.She always had the best, coolest style, punk, now a very successful lighting designer but those were some of the funnest times
blumarine is one of my favorite brands and it would be so interesting if they created “mermaid” and “fairy” characters based on their clothing seeing as that’s what’s their designs have been compared to by fashion articles.
lmfaaoo, yooo I was talking about him in my video" here's what I think the new faces of fashion discussion will be", I seen his video on professor E. when he dropped that. He's a really good channel and very informative. I just wish he could post more though. I'm excited for his videos as yours!
The idea behind notinlist is so sick, I remember being a kid running around with a paper towel tube on my arm pretending it was a Mega Man blaster. Stuff like the subway pass in the sleeve and the lore cards make me so nostalgic and happy that there are other adults that care about experiences like that.
Don’t worry about switching up the content, if you are not feeling it you are probably not gonna deliver as well as you usually do. I would be excited to see you making clothes or whatever you got your mind on Anyway, great vid and I’ll be omw to follow this brands in all their socials🗿
i swear to god i saw you or your doppelganger in the jumbo in Antwerpen today but i was like why on earth would fashionlover4 be doing his groceries in the jumbo in antwerp
i love the videos where you make clothes and stuff however this stuff is just as valuable to me as someone who's still getting into fashion. Do what you enjoy the most though I'm gonna be watching regardless.
After watching your video, a question sparked in my mind: Do you think that companies that “create worlds” will expand beyond merch and venture more into “fashion”? For instance, think of Zelda, Minecraft, Lego, Dypthique, or maybe unconventional worlds like MrBeast? Not saying it’s a good idea, but since this houses are creating worlds and stories to create their fashion, maybe big brands would be influenced by this.
I wonder if good produced by digital fashion brands will someday become a form of currency akin to NFTs, considering that both are digital assets and the former has the potential to be owned and traded. I hope not anyway, wouldn't take long for finance/crypto bros to cash in and trash the space lmao
Hard disagree on saying Professor.E elevates from Guru Guru/UC mid 00s in general. It takes the base of the aesthetic that was refined by Jun and goes on a tangent for sure, but definitely does not elevate nor would I say it's done better, just different. It relies on a lot of loud detailing (just because it's not a logo or bright color doesn't mean bedazzling your headwear isn't gaudy) and ultimately still has the DNA of current Korean menswear in it strongly on display, which is elevated basics particularly of the flowy, relaxed, and slightly oversized variety (which is also true of Japanese menswear albeit slightly different). Not saying it's not good, just definitely not better, at least not from what I've observed so far. The womenswear definitely embodies whatever they're doing better than the menswear which looked like mostly just current menswear staples (work jackets, cargos, etc.) with the baroque twist. Do appreciate that I don't have to pay archive/Paul Harnden prices for these sorts of pieces though.
Maybe better wasn't the right word but equivalent for sure, and I was mostly talking about the mask aspect not specifically the clothing. The clothing does have some Korean fashion cliches but I think that they have refined the silhouette into something more unique and artisanal. My whole mindset towards good menswear is subtle changes and advancements so while I agree that there are more basic aspects about professor E, I think that they excel in other aspects.
Hey , your videos are amazing! I would love to collaborate with you and bring my video editing skills to the table. Let's create something awesome together!

I'm a gamer first, fashion creator second. To merge 2 medias of art together.
What’s the relationship between world building and the character design and down to its fashion.

@@silentspirit0563 I’d imagine Miami is very logo / flex heavy
Thank you, that means a lot. One of the reasons I started making content was because I felt the same so this comment really means a lot!

i’m so addicted to Professor E. I went out of my way to look for every single one of their pieces because all of them are so well made and detailed.
I'm looking forward to how they proceed with their brand, it's exciting to be a part of
It looks a lil ai inspired tbh, still interesting

this video is bad ass, both in style and topic! keep it up!!!!
The dog painting made this vid
Obsessed with Professor E atm, feel like their strong use of historical influences make it so unique compared to what's out there currently.
