I love the Corolla Altis.. This is so much better than the Corolla Altis in the U.S. (Which isn't Altis, it's just Corolla. Probably why it doesn't come with much..) Awesome video Alex :) Hope you could do a video of a Toyota Crown if you guys have those.
It might be because of the CVT (and possibly the ECU) adjusting to the different inputs. Usually, every modern car has an ECU which 'learns' from the driver's driving style. If the owner always drives his/her car slowly, the car tends to work 'slowly' as well, and vice versa. The CVT on the other hand is designed for fuel efficiency and comfort, not performance. This info is only applicable for the 2010 and after Altis, if you are referring to a previous model, I can't be of much help, sorry.
Seriously ! The altis without smart key & start stop botton ! Altis in indonesia with smart key & start stop botton and cvt gearbox grade /type :1.8 G ,1.8 V ,2,0 V and without smart key & start stop engine is 1.8 E ,the 1.8 E in indonesia is 6 speed manual gearbox ! Thx alex review corolla altis 2.0 V good review !
In Indonesia, our 2.0 V comes fitted with Toyota's Original Accessories Audio-Video with Navigation (if not mistaken) while the rest line-up is having the same integrated head unit.
It does have keyless entry, just now keyless entry and start system. And by definition of keyless entry here, I mean you don't need to physically use the key to unlock.
yes i mean in this video why it's doesn't use keyless entry i mean the remote control to lock and unlock the door basicly the remote was integrated on the key fob ,, that is currently you use is aftermarket right ?
A question to Alex and all Altis 1.8 owners here, I drove my mother in law's 1.8 altis for 2 days and i can't help but notice there's a slight lag in throttle response. When your foot touches and presses the pedal, there's a small 'gap' before the engine really kicks in apropos to your pedal input. Is this normal? or is there something wrong?
Seriously UMW for Altis without smart entry and start system? But it's a nice trade off while UMW Altis give VSC & TRC while here doesnt come with that stuff
Seriously I rather have the old version like the 05 or 07...even the look of it is dummy compare to this new version....but I think the old version Is more reliable than this....what think about u Alex?
Indonesian version altis :smart key ,and start stop system ,malaysian version no smart key & start stop botton ,traction control ,stability control ,tilt and telescopic steering wheel .
I prefer the 01 altis g...that u have review.....don't mind is old but the sad things is even is 14 years old still cost rm30k plus....really disappointed
OMG I can't stand the wood trim on the interior! O.O My dad got the 2011 Corolla 1.8E, felt it offered the most value for money. The Corolla 2.0V is a bit overpriced in Malaysia (no GPS, 2 airbags only etc.), a Camry 2.0 (the previous gen) would have been a better bet. In any case, I wish my dad got the Mazda 3 instead. Mazda is honestly the only Japanese carmaker with taste and style. Toyota = Uncle's car. -__-
Still looking good in 2020
Toyota Altis is one of my favourite C-Segment cars after Honda Civic.

You guys get better more airbags i believe
Thanks alot ALEX,.....this is my long long time favorite..
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ALTIS HUHUHUHU THANKS ALEX YOU THE BEST
Finally! Thanks Alex!
Wow Alex, the Corolla (That's what we call it in the U.S) in Malaysia is so much better compared to the one we get here. That isn't fair!

Nice review! In my country, is push button start and without paddle shifter
Solidly built with a bullet proof engine.

Indonesia not popular Corolla is filed model 😂is kijang innova and avanza popular Indonesia 😂😂😂
Nice video alex, always loved corollas.
In Brazil we don't have this automatic infinity transmission (if i understand well!). We have 2 options only .Automatic with 4 gears or manual with 6.
In Indonesia, our 2.0 V comes fitted with Toyota's Original Accessories Audio-Video with Navigation (if not mistaken) while the rest line-up is having the same integrated head unit.
That's my dad's old car, but he bought it is in Medium Silver and with optional body kit on it since 2011, but sadly this car was sold.
It's a CVT. In manual mode you have 7 gears to play with.
Thanks!
It does have keyless entry, just now keyless entry and start system. And by definition of keyless entry here, I mean you don't need to physically use the key to unlock.
It's the same car, just different regional names. In South East Asia, it's Toyota Corolla Altis. For North America, it's just Toyota Corolla.
I like this car
do you drive those cars? on your opinion which car great handling and good for speed.Altis 2.0 or Civic 2.0?
Ah. My bad. It is a CBU unit from Thailand.
No problem. =)
Wow! CVT and paddle shifters on the steering wheel? I wish our Corolla over in the US had those. We are stuck with a very old 4 speed auto.
Leather the steering wheel & this car has paddle shift good ,tilt & telescopic good
Because it's not specced with keyless entry and start for Malaysia? There is no 1.6V here either.
Nice 👍
You said that there is an aux in this car but i got it nowhere to find :(
That Corolla is on fiiaaaaahhhhhhhhhh~
Hopefully.
OLD School This model, Toyota need to upgrade their technology on Audio, Panel Meter, compare to honda civic and ford focus more updated
It's optional in Malaysia.
Alex it's similar as Pakistan variant
Huh? No? It's the original Toyota alarm system. Corollas and Vios-es all have the alarm fob separate from the key.
yes i mean in this video why it's doesn't use keyless entry i mean the remote control to lock and unlock the door basicly the remote was integrated on the key fob ,, that is currently you use is aftermarket right ?
Hahaha~ i know this place. btw, nice vehicle tour =)

Is this normal? or is there something wrong?
Hi Alex ! Can you make a video of the all new altis 2014 ?
No problem.
I'd rather have the 4-speed. Not a big fan of CVTs.
why this vehicle doesn't has a keyless entry ?
Seriously UMW for Altis without smart entry and start system? But it's a nice trade off while UMW Altis give VSC & TRC while here doesnt come with that stuff

MIKU'S CAR IN 2011
This version has smart start/stop button, but why this car does n't this feature?
If you're talking about the Civic, then the Civic is much better than this.
Alex why don't you drive around with the cars you reviewed now? Haha you should drive them around like you do in test drives!
+Song I film test drives whenever I can.
Why pakistani cars has not these interiors
Ask toyota !
They're totally different cars from different segments. Cannot really compare them.
Well at that price point I wouldn't expect GPS.
It is assembled in Thailand Toyota Plant.... known as CKD unit...
the head unit has an aux cable for an iPod or Smartphone right? but i didn't see the 3.5mm jack to put that aux cable. can you show me?

Lol. Read the comment properly. I meant there is no 1.6V in Malaysia. There is only a 1.6E variant.
alexlovesmac price
Alex why does the other variants doesn't have CVT
