the only game that ever confused me over it's ending, not the end scene but the after battle screen..... giving your final boss exp just feels.... odd when there is no new game+ or after final boss continuation.....
Is there supposed to be something special about the woman in black? She was at the fast travel island during the main game and is focused on a bit right before Marlene is revealed
Tinfoil hat time, but I think one of these two is true: 1) cut content that may have expanded on her purpose. 2) Never meant to be expanded on, like many things in the game, is just there to serve as a plot device to allow you to move from place to place quickly. Lot of characters in the game get weird amounts of focus (one of the six characters you can be "compatible" with is the Mysterious Girl, an otherwise unnoteworthy NPC)
That's KT. You're properly introduced to her when Ari is erased from reality. She, along with everyone in the city of triste, are people who also lost their existence. It's implied that without classifications, everyone manage to regain their existence. This is interpretation, But with KT dissapearing at the end i believe it's also implied that she is/was a ghost.
@ruleofoz2207 that was my speculation as well that she died before Ari could destroy the classication and thus just stuck with the others or perhaps stayed until the world was restored/watching over the real Marlene till she was able to be free.

I remember being scared confused and lost in this game as a small child what a wonderfully disturbing masterpeice of a game
