I want to do a Halloween cruise out of New York, and this ship and itinerary just came on my radar! And I’m really considering it, solo cruiser with the drinks, package and Internet for less then a 1000 for a week

@@lexa_powerYeah, Royal Caribbean’s cost for a solo traveler is sometimes double or triple the cost of MSC. It’s a shame. The plus side is is that MSC is more adult oriented. Royal’s pricing attracts the correct crowds.
I've heard good reviews, & bad reviews. I want to check it out for myself before I recommend to friends or family, so I'm going on the Meraviglia on a solo cruise in December.
I’m on this cruise right now this very moment and it’s a nightmare. Once we ported in Port Canaveral this afternoon I asked if I could get off so I could just go to the Orlando airport and take a flight back to NY and go home but they said I would have to pay a $941 federal fine to do so. Anyway this ship is a party boat. There isn’t one quiet spot. They have singers and bands playing at max volume in every corner even right next to customer service and excursion service desks so you can’t hear anything when you’re trying to get help. All the kiosks were broken the whole first day. So you couldn’t register your card or book anything. The WiFi was broken the first day and a half. You had to stand in line to the photo counter that wrapped around the entire lobby to talk to someone about it. They also hold these big events in the main thoroughfares so you can’t move around freely at times. Want to walk through the galleria? Oh you can’t cuz they decided to do some silent disco party even for the next two hours. Or they decided to block off your route because they wanted to get a group dance number going. Or god knows what else. Every day it’s something. And that’s not including the dozens of photo stops lining the sides with cruise photographers encroaching into the main walkway from both sides so they can frame the perfect shot and the lines of customers waiting for their turns. All of it makes it almost pointless to even go down there. Not to mention trying to get around all the people taking their own photos every five steps. You can NEVER get an elevator. I have had to take the stairs up and down ever day. I’m on deck 12 so down to deck 5/6 and back up or up to deck 18/19 and back down over and over. Also these people have no manners. They will literally bum rush you even though you were there first and run in front of you and then there is no room for you to get on. And they will smile as the doors close with you standing there. Don’t bother trying to go to that crappy Marketplace buffet. It’s like the Ogres of Middle Eartg have been released. You have to fight the horde to try to get through to get anything. Best of luck. And don’t think about finding a place to sit and if you do, there will definitely be someone else’s plates still sitting there because staff is hardly clearing them. So I have been stuck eating room service which let me tell you is about as good if not worse then what they served at the Fyre Festival. They brought me a slice of cheese on thin white bread with shredded lettuce and some potato chips and charged me $11 for that plus the tip I was expected to hand over in cash to the delivery person. I was not assigned a dining room because I’m a solo traveler. Two days in they finally decided to let me eat in a dining room and gave me a meal time and assigned me to Waves restaurant. Well shouldn’t have bothered. The food portions are so tiny, you’d think they were serving munchkins from Oz. I got a lasagna that was 3 inches by 3 inches squared. And that’s all. That was the entire entree. Needless to say I was still starving afterward but you can’t find food on this hell cruise because the buffet is a no go and the mini mart only has a few cookies and Pringles type things. There’s a mini buffet on the pool deck right outside the market buffet but it’s just an overflow of the same crap in the main buffet. Btw if you expect to get your included complimentary continental breakfast, don’t. I’m still waiting on the first one I submitted the order form for two days ago. Oh and they didn’t bother to bring me the order form again after that so they took away my ability to even tell them what I wanted from the continental menu anyway. But it’s complimentary. I paid for it in my package. Soooo worth it. And btw, if you put your do not disturb sign up to keep them from cleaning your room while your in it or even while your out but you forget to turn it off after you order room service, they will just not deliver your room service but charge you anyway. They won’t bother knocking or calling you or anything. But they will charge you. So you better remember to turn that button off and on at just the right times. As I write this, I forgot and now I lost my dinner they didn’t bring that I ordered. So I’m fucked and I haven’t had any food all day long. And likely now won’t be able to eat until tomorrow when I can try again. I told you, this is a hell ship. I feel like I am being held hostage. So I’ve essentially been on a starvation diet since I boarded this shit show. I told my cabin steward I want to kill myself. I am so miserable I want to jump overboard. Oh I forgot, last night I managed to buy a crepe from the crepe place right as they were closing because there finally wasn’t a long ass line like there is all day and the lady took pity on me and I rushed back up to my room to enjoy this warm box of nourishment with glee only to find at 9:45pm at night a housekeeping sign on my door saying they were cleaning and would let me know when I could come back. So I sat in the hallway for 45 min waiting. The crepe went cold. Some other cabin guy came by and asked why I was sitting there. I motioned to the sign and he said they must have forgotten to remove it. Turns out they weren’t in my room. I shouldn’t have been so polite as to wait. Also, if someone is on your ship with a hoverround chair, don’t be surprised if they don’t run you over like the lady on my floor who came barreling around the corner and ran right into me. And her adult daughter who just giggled as they waited FOR ME to moved out of THEIR way AFTER THEY ran INTO ME. This is my first and LAST cruise. It is not relaxing. It is not chill. There is not a single quiet or relaxing spot. It’s maxed out blaring music being played and blasted from end to end in every place. You can’t get food or if you do manage to it’s total shit. Some of the staff have been kind and understanding but a few of them have had attitudes and frankly shouldn’t be working with the public at all. That’s par for the course with service jobs. I would not recommend this hell on anyone except my enemies.
Oh and I just ordered again and ordered two items from room service and after 45 minutes they showed up delivering a bunch of items off a cart. Apparently grouping a bunch of people’s orders together. She only had one item of mine and I had to point that out to her. She was adamant she had everything until I told her to look at the receipt she forced me to sign. Then she promised to bring the missing item later. Which I assume means they never prepared it so another 30 min or more once she finished delivering what she has on her cart and gets back down stairs or they prepared it and forgot to put it on the cart and it’s sitting down there going cold. I told you. You can’t get food. And this is nasty fyre festival quality food. We are talking literally a slice of cheese between two pieces of white bread and some shredded lettuce and mayo and potato chips on the side. I have photos and videos to prove it.
I ALMOST booked a cruise in May for my husband and kids. This was so helpful! Obviously not kid friendly at all. Thank you for posting your experience. So sorry it sucked so bad!
@@jenniferhooten4155 well to update you, they kicked me off the boat in the Bahamas knowing I didn’t have a passport because I complained and when I did I made a snarky comment that I’d rather jump overboard and swim home they were so bad. They called me a suicide risk and held me in medical for like six hours. Claimed I was being transferred by ambulance to a hospital for assessment of I was ok to continue the trip but that was a lie. After six hours two Bahamas police officers showed up and took statements from me and the ship security guy and whatnot and then walked me to the dock in front of all the passengers like I was a criminal. Once outside the MSC guy told me there was no assessment to be done I was just off the boat that was that. I was left on the dock with no support from MSC to figure out how to get a passport to get home or anything. The police man told me it was wrong what the cruise line was doing and that they see this a lot. He felt bad for me and thankfully he was kind enough to drive me around and show me where the embassy was so I could go the next morning when they opened to start the process for an emergency passport and he drove me around for a few hours trying to find a vacant room for the night. It was like 11pm by the time I found one. MSC finally called me late the following day and told me they thought I had been taken to a hospital by ambulance because that’s what the guys on the boat told them internally as they recorded it as a ‘medical’ disembarkation. She said they didn’t try calling me to assist me for a day because she thought I was in a hospital somewhere. So the guys on the boat filed false records internally and lied which btw also makes it impossible for me to file a claim on the travel insurance because there is no medical record I can provide from a hospital or anything for a claim under medical reason for travel interruption. The travel insurance company told me I pretty much have zero means to get a claim for any compensation approved. It’s almost like the cruise line knew what to do to get an upset customer off the boat so they didn’t make a scene in front of other passengers and make it so they wouldn’t have a payout on the travel insurance which you add on when you book the cruise which turns out is underwritten by the cruise line according to the travel insurance company when I called. Just stay away from these people. They are like mafia gangsters playing with people’s lives. And to top it off, as I was standing on the dock, they had the nerve to turn and wave goodbye to me as they walked back to the ship. Like who does that?
I think if you were to put the cruise planners that they offer on the ship for guests for a seven day cruise each day one by one letting us see it I think a lot of people would want to click on it and look at that giving consumers information of what MSC gives to his customers every day on the ship What do you think? Is it a good idea? Thank you for your reply in advance.
Where can I find those $319/person week long cruise tickets? &Do you know long will they might stay available? My grandfather passed recently and my grandmother has been heartbroken for months. I’m not working right now (got a gnarly case of Bell’s Palsy outta the blue) but when I get back to it I would love to take her on that cruise. She was my rock growing up and it’d be a dream come true to get to treat her to a much needed getaway🫶🏼
I will never understand why MSC has tinted glass, obstructing the view of the ocean. That just makes no sense to me. Such a beautiful ship for such a major flaw.
My family and I have taken 18 cruises, with 5 different cruise lines under our belts before this. This cruise offered us convenience of date. May I say that this is absolutely the WORST CRUISE LINE we had ever been on in our lives! This ship is a cattle car. Over 4700 guests plus 1300 crew; it is crowded. The ship's rooms are small, with a cats pee smell emitting from a vent in our bathroom. The ship's interior is nothing special. A far cry from any of the other cruise lines we've previously taken. The theater is pedestrian in looks, with no drinks available inside. This place offers you small seating with no leg room. Larger people beware! The food is suspect, with the first night's meal the best. It only went downhill from there. The buffets food was literally better than the evening's dinning rooms. Asked for a shrimp cocktail with my dinner, the waiter brought me a small cup of tiny prawns is a pink cream sauce? Asked waiter about larger shrimp w/cocktail sauce. He said they don't have any! Excuse me?? Lastly, wife, granddaughter, and I got sick towards the end of our vacation🤕. Turns out we got Covid-19 courtesy of MSC Cruise Line😷. Informed our Travel Agent about the Covid-19 after disembarking. A few weeks later, they send us a letter offering us a 5% reduction on our next cruise with them. Are You Fk'g Kidding Me!!!!!! 🤨
OMG I WAS THERE LAST SUMMER AND ME AND MY SIS AND COUSINS MOSTLY ME AND MY COUSIN THAT'S THE YOUNGEST(we r same age) WE WENT ON A HUNT TO LOOK FOR DUCKS THE ENTIRE TIME IT'S SO FUN I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!! (they also have great service) ❤❤🎉
Honestly I wouldn’t go on a cruise to go to a spa or any of that stuff you listed , I’d be on every deck I can be taking in every view because there’s not another time I’ll see it in day to day life , wish I could even go period
We had a racist group on the boat who threw kids stuff on the ground. Overall, it was handled well and I am booked for this August. Budget friendly, food was good, entertainment, and great for families.
I’ve been to Royal Caribbean, Carnival and MSC. Royal Caribbean is the best, then carnival then MSC. The most good thing about Royal Caribbean is there are plenty of outdoor deck, and food taste is the best. They treat you like a king and queen in Royal Caribbean. Carnival is overall medium. And the bad things about MSC is behavior and attitude of the stuff; also food taste isn’t good compared to to RC and carnival. I didn’t realize until I boarded with RC. May be because of that my expectations went higher. So MSC isn’t bad, it’s just not the best compare to other three. Never been to Norwegian so not sure about that.
I’m on this ship right now . And I don’t like it . Food and activities both not as good as Ncl , i am very disappointed and I will never sail msc again . Don’t not Saul MSc
@@Avaren619 I think they should get a great place to come back to and distress away from passengers and everyone that can be very annoying , do you know how much it takes to put on a smile and do anything for them …
Just sailed this past week, the ship is large but it wouldn’t take more than 10mins to get from the back of the ship to the front. We did lots of walking
My experience with MSC Cruises was infuriating due to their blatant discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community. Throughout the journey, it was evident they do not want gay people on their cruises,

I went on this exact cruise I think I might of saw you
We had a bad experience with this ship, most likely as we were on the first time the company had done a Caribbean cruise
I am on it right now 👀
i went in this ship in 2017 but it was without the slides, HOW
Are you sure it was Meraviglia? Since her debut in 2017, she had slides.
İ am going to. Go in 24 April in Msc
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
İm so excited ❤😊😊😊😊😊
My experience was awful, they had plumbing issues, changed my dining time as well as a few other groups, and we got food poisoning.
Cruising is for relaxing. Getting away from the city just looking at the massive ocean.
I’ve been on it
No way because when you were at nassau I saw your ship and was right next to yours at port. I was in the carnival conquest ship
Honestly I wouldn’t go on a cruise to go to a spa or any of that stuff you listed , I’d be on every deck I can be taking in every view because there’s not another time I’ll see it in day to day life , wish I could even go period
You can go son!! They aren’t that expensive 🎉
@@GODSWORD11 it's not in my range to even travel . Stuck in Pennsylvania
Stuck period bruh
@@Heres_Johnnny I’m sorry son. At least there are worse states to be stuck in. Like West Virginia 🤷♂️
@@GODSWORD11 WV better than Arkansas 😅your both closer only 2-4hr drive to ship terminal. I'm 2 day drive or 3hr flight 😅
I love going to the casino at Nassau
My dad is from Brooklyn NY
We had a racist group on the boat who threw kids stuff on the ground. Overall, it was handled well and I am booked for this August. Budget friendly, food was good, entertainment, and great for families.
I went on it and I’m going again in 2 days xd
I had the best cruise ever in the Meraviglia, RIP Gene Young "Moimoi" the best cruise director ever
😍👍
مشاءالله ام بحار البارجات
Royal Caribbean is better. And Wonder of the seas is the worlds largest cruise since 2022
He said ONE of the world’s biggest ships not the biggest
@@liamcarter1322 Ah sorry I missed it. RC still better XD
@@EvolvedSurvival It is better but at what cost.
I have heard mixed reviews. Especially on the treatment of the LGBTQ PAX. I’ll still give it a try tho
Is the food free on the boat?
What is the real price for per person to go on a cruise
The service is horrible too. 👎🏿
Lol, i was one it, the Marshmellow ls at the candy shop are 😶
Crew members get a tiny tiny area to live , smaller then a prison cell
You think their rooms should be as large as the cruisers? They are there to work, not for leisure and relaxation
@@Avaren619 I’m not saying I think I’m saying they’re small . I wouldn’t want to live in one as I worked for months karen.
@@Avaren619 I think they should get a great place to come back to and distress away from passengers and everyone that can be very annoying , do you know how much it takes to put on a smile and do anything for them …
@@Heres_Johnnnythey sign a contract no one puts s gun to their head 🙄

"Biggest ship in the world"
Meanwhile icon of the seas-exist
I wish I could believe these reviews...
New to cruise.. how does the lodging work once you are in say Bahamas? You have to have your own hotel or you sleep in your room there?
You sleep in your cabin (room) on the ship.
Can i take small drone with me????
My Royal Cruises🇺🇲 Forever 24/7, I'm King 🇺🇲 Forever 24/7
im not taking a cruise to the bermuda triangle
Any bars on this ship that I'd be able to hang and watch some football games at?
Just came back and didn't see one but I also did not go into the pub. Might be one in there.
Is there some kind of transportation through the ship? I think it's a bit big to move through
Just sailed this past week, the ship is large but it wouldn’t take more than 10mins to get from the back of the ship to the front. We did lots of walking
You said the name wrong
My experience with MSC Cruises was infuriating due to their blatant discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community. Throughout the journey, it was evident they do not want gay people on their cruises,
What about freaking symphony of the seas?
Wonder of the seas is the worlds largest cruise ship, but symphony is similar as its part of the same class
Do you pay your agent for the 7 days and do u need a passport 4 all shops.can u pay at the port last minute
Ships
MSC is horrible. Very Brooklyn
So that's what you look like! 😊
Don’t beat the Norwegian Joy I’ll tell you that much!
Incorrect. Google Norwegian cruise island, then google Royal Caribbean island.
@@EvolvedSurvival .... this is MSC which gets neither of those lol
Of course, a week after I leave Nyc my biggest dream happened
You can always fly back! ;)

It is good. But inside in the galley is all dying.
