You can definitely hear them above the engines :) The ATC is added after but the 50...40...30..20..10 before landing is bleeding through from the flight deck :)
+Amniamnyz Thank you :) It is just the distortion from the GoPro lens. I set it to medium as the wide angle is far too wide and the narrow is zoomed in too much.
They were designed for shorter runways, to make the aircraft be able to take off from places like London City. They're good for their purpose but more modern engines such as on the C Series are more efficient and can do the job with two engines.
That's the flaps extending. Notice the engine pitch increases just after as the pilot corrects the thrust for the drag caused by the flaps. It's very loud and noticeable on the 146/Avro RJ, you hear the opposite noise on take off too it sounds like an engine spooling up :)
Love how you can hear the callouts from the cockpit inside the cabin! Lovely video.
In the RJ100, you can hear them!

Nice one! Wish I didn't have to fly in business to get this great window view though...
Thank you! Yeah it's a shame, further back it's difficult to see and I believe one row has a missing window too :(
great scens Thank you
Thank you, thanks for watching :)
Very ✈✈✈✈✈✈✈, thanks
Thanks :)
Great video. But why are you using fisheye lense?

Nice Video. Did you do any sound enhancing?
Thank you! Nope this is the footage straight from the GoPro, with the ATC overlaid over the top.
smooth! :)
Indeed :)
Why does this airplane have 4 engines? Isn't it very ineffective?

Thanks for the answer. Anyways, I love the look of a four engine airplane, so I'm fine with that lol
Yeah I love the 146/Avro RJs too, they look awesome!

what's that noise?

I thought I heard that noise before, but on the ground and only from this type of airplanes. It's kind of significant^^
Haha, the one thing about the 146 is that you get to see and hear everything that goes on! Great for control freaks like myself :D
