For your next AWL addition, I’d highly recommend the R28 AWL (speedy) satchel. OMG, this bag is amazing. There’s also the R38 (medium) satchel, and that one comes with a strap. ✌🏻

The sweater is a couple years old- from Ralph Lauren. It's so cozy, and I knew it would be perfect for the New England vibes with the Dooneys. I totally mispoke when I was filming- it was vintage Dooney who I reached out too via email. Horsekeeping has a posting on their website that they're no longer dealing with Dooney questions, so I didn't want to bother them. The burnt cedar trim on the bucket is gorgeous! I'd love the find a taupe/bc combo for the bucket. I love the R28 and R38- they're on my watchlist! I have my eye on some Teton or a larger Saddle soon!

I've recently become interested in vintage dooney and havebeen adding some pieces to my collection. I've been looking for that very same essex since I saw someone's post about it in one of the Facebook groups but they're very hard to find. May just grab the all black version. I've also been trying to decide on that same bucket bag but in the dark chocolate and cedar
Vintage Dooneys are hands-down some of the best made bags out there! This Arrowhead Essex is impossible to find- there's one in rough shape available for almost $200- aside from the strap issue- mine is nearly perfect- so I'm hoping I can find the strap! And the Dark Chocolate/Cedar combo is stunning!! I may have to copy you and snag a large bucket in the same combo!

Just found a very vintage Dooney equestrian bag that if I am correct is one of their very early bags. Small and in good shape but needs a good conditioningI think as the leather looks very dry. What can I use please? Also do you have a video on these older bags?
That's a great question! If you're sure it need moisture I would recommend Apple leather conditioner. Is it Bridle leather or AWL?
I didn’t know people were dunking vintage doonies. I thought people only did that with vintage Coach
Same. I would never dunk a vintage D&B; the leather is much too thick and many of the bags have that sturdy platform like the Norfolk, Doctors Bag, Gladstone.
It's such a shame- it can completely ruin them. It works for Coach, but definitely not for Dooney.
I love your sweater!!! Also, I would say you did some awesome purchasing here!!! Tghat is too bad about the strap. You know it reminds me of a Mulberry bag I bought not too long ago. I really really wanted this bag. Somehow I didn't notice it didn't come with a strap!!!! You can definitely top handle it, but I just couldn't believe I missed it. I also would not have paid that much for it, if I had noticed. Is this like a glass? If your glass is half fool..it is better than half empty, maybe if your strap is half there it is better than...no strap? I know, I am reaching..... :-)
