Swordsoul deck is one of those decks that can do wonders at the hands of a brilliant player. The gap between the skill ceiling and the floor of the deck is massive.

These match ups are really bad that it's very one sided. Aside from the Good Stuff deck, it just seems more of your opponents bricking than actual interactions and chains
I’ve got a very fun Swordsoul Tenyi Bystial Assault Synchron(yeah that’s a mouthful) pile deck. It actually works surprisingly well and doesn’t rely on Grass. I use either Pot of Desires or more “controlled” methods of milling the deck. It definitely has more potential combos than the usual Swordsoul does. Much more potential than the Baronne, Chixiao, blackout and pass.

Lots of extension if things go your way. Might drop Fenrir as it interferes with Tenyi free summons. Just added Lubellion w/ Branded lost- forgot to mention that too- and don’t know how I like it yet. Normally just got lucky and got Bystails off Chaos Ruler milling effect. I don’t play Psy-grams gamma because I just don’t have confidence I can resolve it. Extra deck space is VERY tight. Of course, Draco Berserker, the Dragtite(?) Adamancipator, or even the lvl 10 ice jade synchro could be in there. Just too many options and it’s hard to choose. Also, tried that lvl 7 dragon synchro tuner that lets you dump a monster to the GY to change its lvl for quick synchros as well at some point. This just likely needs more going second power I think. Very expensive deck also. Have fun if you decide to try and sorry for the hellacious post lol.

Would the deck still be good even without Protos? Bcuz since the deck already deals with banishing, couldnt we apply some kash cards in here? And/or we could apply bystials and make chaos angel with eccelsia or that other lvl 4 light swordsoul monster.

I wouldnt play Swordsoul cuz I try to stay clear and meta and just have fun, but seeing how its kinda fallen a bit, Im willing to give it a try but without Protos
Protos isnt broken. It literally depends on the meta you're in. Soon we're about to enter a fire based meta anyway. Which makes protos weaker because of not knowing the deck you're playing against.

Which is why it's one of my favourite decks to introduce a player to yugioh and start them off on synchro summoning.

Do you normally use Maxx C in the main phase? With Kashtira running around and Triple Tactics you are really asking to be punished
I forget put chain on in draw phase but I usually activate maxx c draw phase or stand by phase
