In Vancouver it is so easy to save money, and people can grind their way to becoming a millionaire. You can virtually just sit around and get paid

How are the restaurants compared to Montreal’s?

Some good tips, and certainly, Vancouver has become really costly! I was born and raised in Vancouver and still living here. I'm not sure where you're buying $18 chickens, but a cheaper alternative would be to buy a full roasted chicken from Costco (if you have a membership) for $10. Or $12.99 from Save-On-Foods/Superstore/Independent Grocers. As for other ways to save on groceries, go to the smaller grocery stores. I really feel for the newcomers and students who are trying to afford to live here!!

Thanks for the tip! The chicken cost of $18 comes from Save-on-Foods. I usually buy my chicken at Costco.

There’s definitely lots to do that costs $0 here. Good reminder!

Don't live anywhere that doesn't allow overnight guests or allows people over. Never be a prisoner in someone else's home.

Whoa! You’re originally from Montreal?! How are cultural changes? I heard people aren’t as warm as Quebecers. I’m in Montreal, btw

Yes born and raised in Montreal! I would say not as culturally diverse here in Vancouver so the food variety is not as good as in Montreal.
