I can't imagine the enormity of this task. Narrow paths and 2-3 feet of papers, balancing in the ceiling. And 4 years to get to this packed point in time. She's done an amazing job of clearing out.
I can say, after the few hoarder houses I have dealt with it is an overwhelming experiance, no matter how cool the finds are.
Her listing set-up is amazing. Love the shutter and the sliding computer screen. Very legit - I only wish I was more techy.
I’d be so overwhelmed, smart to have someone else sourcing with you. Wow 4 years n still all that. She’s amazing to get thru all that she did. Bless her it’s a lot to get thru.

I've known Jan from early in her UA-cam journey. She has accomplished so much. She moves a lot each week through live sales, yet it is astonishing how much is still there. I never knew Whitman made comic books. As a vintage collector, they are one of my favorite publishers.

Ive bought from resellers before and for things like comics it can be tricky, all of the value is in the work that's got to be done to research, list and sell them but the person selling them to me wants 50%. I dont mind buying NIP items that will sell quick at the 50% mark but anything that takes time and work I need a 10% price point or less.
I'm sure that was a lot of work but I wish it had been longer! I think I would have worn a mask in there. To me, inheriting that house with all that "stuff" would be totally intimidating, stressful, overwhelming and nerve wracking - talk about a Neverending Story. She's a brave and diligent lady. And the Dew joke was priceless. :)

It actually was very clean since she has been working on it for 4 years but yes, I’ve been in houses pre-Covid where I had to wear a mask. Definitely a lot of work but 4 years in she is doing awesome. Thanks Lina!
Calendars are a difinite pickup for me. I picked, basically a throw in at an estate sale, three eskimo Inuit calandars 2009, 2010, and 2011 that sold for between $20 and $30 each. Paid for more that the lot I purchased.

My guy drinks Mt. Dew. We got a new pup and Rod was drinking his Dew while holding the pup. He took a drink and dropped a drop of Dew on his shirt. He thought it was an omen so he named the pup Dew Drop.

Totally overwhelming! Where to start…..
I don’t understand how anyone can accumulate such an incredible amount of stuff! I’m stressing out, because I got a great bargain today (intended to be used as a gift) and I know there’s another identical piece back in the antique store. I’m thinking I’ll go back and get it as a gift for the future sometime, but it causes me stress just to buy things to “sit on”. Sorry….I know that doesn’t make sense, but I’m trying to say that being literally surrounded by all those items, valuable or not, would be unbearable for me.
Makes complete sense! I’ve been the same way since this disorder started developing when I was in my 20’s. It wasn’t like this when I was young. Normal old house with generations of memories beautifully displayed. I’ve learned - if I am truly working on something or have future intentions for something, I make sure I do it. 🤗

I checked her ebay store. Sorry, almost every single item for sale was way too high. I tried.
Most resellers in the collectible category price higher then retail to leave room to run sales and take/send offers. When you send a 50 dollar offer out on something listed for 80 it seems more appealing to buyers.
