جب تصور مرا چُپکے سے تجھے چھُو آئے
اپنی ہر سانس سے مجھ کو تِری خوشبو آئے
مشغلہ اب ہے مرا چاند کو تکتے رہنا
رات بھر چین نہ مجھ کو کسی پہلو آئے
پیار نے ہم میں کوئی فرق نہ چھوڑا باقی
جھیل میں عکس تو میرا ہو، نظر تو آئے
جب کبھی گردشِ دوراں نے ستایا مجھ کو
مری جانب تیرے پھیلے ہوئے بازو آئے
جب بھی سوچا کہ شبِ ہجر نہ ہو گی روشن
مجھ کو سمجھانے تِری یاد کے جگنو آئے
کتنا حساس مری آس کا سنّاٹا ہے
کہ خموشی بھی جہاں باندھ کے گھنگرو آئے
مجھ سے ملنے کو سرِشام کوئی سایہ سا
تیرے آنگن سے چلے اور لبِ جو آئے
اُس کے لہجے کا اثر تو ہے بڑی بات قتیلؔ
وہ تو آنکھوں سے بھی کرتا ہوا جادو آئے

Yet another masterful performance Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab - this time round rendering a magnificent ghazal penned by the Qatil Shifai Saab ! I have listened to it for the very first !
What a beautiful composition it was ! How soulfully did Ustadjee perform it ! What a wonderful feeling it has been ! Here, in this ghazal, it was as if Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab had infused life into the beautiful lafz of Qatil Shifai Saab with the exact feel, as depicted in the kalam,,owing to his majestic voice and inimitable style of gayiki ! I have enjoyed it thoroughly ! It has kept me spellbound throughout the entire rendition compelling me to listen to it several times over in a single sitting ! Still, the inner urge in my heart to listen to it remained insatiable !
