There's 2 Marks that in my opinion the most beautiful, this 1, MarkIII & the 1 I purchased in '78, Mark V. I didn't get the designer series because that option was the price of a regular new car. Grandpa had the III, & I had the V. Moonroof, traction Lok, OEM aluminum wheels & VOGUE TYRES. Those cars came loaded so, not much was needed to order. I took mine from NYC to Coral Gables Florida. Me & 3 ppl had a very enjoyable experience. But, it was a bit thirsty despite the cruise control. The Miles To Empty, I didn't trust, but, aside from that, gr8 trip.
Your Lincoln looks awesome now I know why they put a spring loaded hood ornament after that year because they didn't put them through 69 through 71 because of a safety issue but when they came out with the spring loaded one they started putting them I believe in 72 does make a difference how it looks but your car still beautiful.
I thought the ornament was just missing until I read your comment. It definitely looks much better with the hood ornament. Especially from the driver's seat.
Obviously, it was very very important to know exactly what time it was when you overheated the car since the clock was easier to see than the temperature gauge
Although I prefer the exterior of the Continental Mark IV, the Mark III's interior put all the other Marks to shame. Real walnut veneer on the dash (1970-1971), nice gauges, brake monitoring lights in the rear, high quality leather, etc. and the build quality and engineering was also far superior to the Mark IV, V and VI. I was just never a fan of the slab sided boat looking style. I would love to see one w/o the vinyl roof, just rip it off and paint the top to match!
Had a 71 between 79 and 85. Very nice.😎
Lucky duck she is a Beauty so enjoy her and take good care of her.
MKIIIs are super cool. Just love the way they drive and ride. They're like the 68/69 T-Bird just a bit bigger. Very easy to parallel park.

Very nice MK 111. I have a 70 MK 111 love this car. Mine is white as well with green leather
Beautiful car
Amazing how silent they rode with the windows closed, and it’s a 71. Quieter than most modern cars let alone compared to other cars back then.
When a car was a car and offered luxury with distinction, not molded plastic.

Too bad the sound system didn't play. They were quite renowned for their tonal clarity.
Nice car to not have commentary

A non verbal walk around doesn't do it justice. But nice just the same.
Cell phone too close for a good video otherwise a nice ride.

You are a terrible camera man. Back up.
