  • The Tennessee Titans made a total change on the coaching staff this offseason when they fired Mike Vrabel and hired Brian Callahan. Everyone expected a big shift, but we are finally starting to see it on the field and also, HEAR IT from the players. Also, there are a few open starting spots that could potentially be filled by somewhat of a surprise options on offense and defense. Guys like Elijah Molden and Josh Whyle could make a major jump, back into the starting group.

I did not need the quotes from Key or Chig...Vrabel inherited a playoff ready team for which he prefers players that did not require much of a learning curve. As long as JRob was drafting such player, everything was cool early . But once Jrob started to draft players requiring more refinement and training, all hell broke loose and Vrabel was not in the mood of the rebuild we are seeing now. I have no expectations for the players who have been disappointing so far (Burkes, NPF, Duncan or Weaver to a certain extent) or questionable signings/picks but what I can trust more is after this training camp and preseason, we will see a lot quicker who can be at least a depth player and possible starter down the road. If they are not cutting it, they will simply be gone sooner than later. The drafting and FA signings have been very intentional for the future along with the coordinators and position coaches. I'm just hopeful for this process and positive results to come!
    Titan up!

Dillion Radunz needs to be the starting RT! Love this!
I know Tyler has me muted on X cause of my Malik Willis take that he would be a huge bust.
I’m actually an everydayer and big fan of the show!

I actually really like Josh Wylie. I like Chig too. I want to see what Chig can do under a new coaching staff. I just don't think Vrabel was good at developing players. I think we could have 2 really good tightends if Chig can get back on track like in his rookie season when he showed promise. And hopefully Whylie can stay healthy.

I think they should try Caleb Farley at safety. His cover skills will help out on the back end.

Anyone paying attention knew the coaching staff was trash and the fact Vrabel allowed that from his staff shows he was also a trash coach

What you didn’t like having a 50 year old running back coach coaching the QBs? Or a HS OL coach for the OL. He ran out of yes men and the pickings were real slim after that.

Personally I read Levis' comment more as "I feel comfortable suggesting things because I understand the system better under the new staff" rather than "I feel comfortable suggesting things because the new staff doesn't shut me down like the old one did." It makes sense. He's played in a McVay derivative offense at Kentucky.

Love the take on jw at te1. Obvi think chig has more pot, but looking back. I don't know about other teams Hurst killed us a few years ago, and I could see him in the same role.

I was a Malik Willis fan and I found criminal that Levis was relegated as a 3rd qb when Willis was in need of a 2 yr of real training before assessing if he could be a NFL Qb. Willis at this point has a chance to save his career by showing he could eventually be a backup. Not holding my breath on this one but who knows with proper training at last...

The talent has not been there, maybe it can be there this time around and squeeze some more juice out. Vrabel squeezed out water from a desert. Wish him the best and hope we do great under Callahan.

I like the tight end wiley, I like him and he looks like he has potential but tight in number one. You're probably dreaming, Chico has started two years and has been promising both years and in the offense we were running he was able to get 46 catches and 500 yards in this new offense he may catch 86 balls

I see multiple sets with Chig and Whyle. Especially short yardage with Chig in the slot and Whylie tight. Chig is a good blocker to take on safeties and at the same time can beat LB and Safeties on routes. Again, this coach has great flexibility with the personnel he now has at RB, TE, and the receiving corp. At 6'7" Whylie is a huge target with excellent hands.

Titans going to pass ball more with Brian Callahan head coach so i would think that Chig Okonkwo would be starting Tight End doesn't mean that Josh Whyle won't get snaps in run plays and red zone
Chig Okonkwo 6'3 and 240 lbs not the biggest Tight End tho so I get yo point
Caleb Farley 6'2 and 4.28 speed Titans should look to moving him to Safety to where he can use his length to play Center field on deep routes
Caleb Farley at Cornerback not shifty side to side where sometimes quickness and shifty more important then straight line speed
    Just a thought

All the OL aside from Brunkskill are under 30 yrs old...I don't expect a signing on the OL except if there is a major injury bug....Radunz could be a possible option at RT if NPF is not ready in time for training camp. We'll see...🙂

I don’t think being a traditional TE makes you the number 1 TE I think that makes you number 2 especially in a pass first offense

    • @Gus-xw9yn
      @Gus-xw9yn Місяць тому

The element of surprise is more present with Whyle (if his catching skills keeps on improving) because as a better blocker, it makes it less predictable for a run or pass. When you put Chig who as a blocker is not as good, the other can plan a little better against the pass...

Just not true man a passing offense needs a guy who can stay in and go run routes and catch balls and not telegraph the incoming play buddy

I like that people feel more comfortable around Callahan but I hope that they don’t just get out there and act a fool with no discipline because my high school team had a really chill coach who let people act a fool and we didn’t win barely 3 games when he was there but we got a new coach who’s more about discipline and we won 7 games our first year and went to state our second year so there needs to be some discipline to football

To get Higgins at this point the trade would probably have to include Dhop... Which actually helps both teams. The Bengals want that money to sign Chase plus they add Dhop to go on a playoff run and the Titans have their young receiver for the furture
