I love the Flappin Frog. It’s my favorite frog, by far. In heavy muck, I like the action better than the typical hollow body frog…and you can do a straight retrieve that has great action. However, I cannot skip it. This is on me, not the frog. I just can’t skip any lure. Maybe because I only fish with spinning reels. I haven’t figured out baitcasters, yet.
Looks like a great frog from Spro, Gabe. Really like how it skips and that it is made from a plastic like Elaztech. The closest thing in the Z-man line are the hard leg Frogz, 4" I think. I don't know for sure which of your fave lakes this was but this trip was worth the tow expense. Have a wonderful week, Don
Good video Gabe, have not tried that frog yet. But I am a big Spro frog fan. My favorite is the poppin frog. One tip for everyone is save the weights and hooks from any frog you tear up, they might come in handy later on. You also can replace the legs with either rubber or silicone, a small paper clip will get the job done. I customize mine with different skirt colors.

I agree. It's a great frog. Skipping just takes practice. I would start with a wacky rig on a spinning rod

The little disc/weight is the only problem I see with it. Really like it. How’s the boat traffic at the Rock.
I’ve caught a bunch of fish in it without loosing the disc but I’ve been gluing them in. I’ve heard Tablerock has been on fire.
Have you had a problem with the weight falling out of those? I bought a couple tied one on and first cast lost that little disk weight!
