Richard Anderson Bleeding fish exposes the meat to oxygen that instantly dries it up. I’ve never heard of a chef going to the fish market asking for pre-bled fish nor is it sold like that at the markets, but people swear by the bible that unbled fish have a metallic taste. I don’t know, maybe we can see a video that tests the theory out? What do you reckon Scotty?
One of the most important things with luderick is to skin the bloody thing before you cook it or else its crap remove the skin you remove the strong weed taste
its really tricky to catch these fish sometimes. do u recommend using only 6lb leader for luderick or can i go heavier up to 8-10lb leader for the luderick?
6lb is fine or 8 I used both with no problems its all about them feeding, once they are feeding well they will take baits fished on 12lb, Fluro trace will help is clear water ways, Good luck great fun fish to target over the winter months. It's weird watching people fishing in your home town on UA-cam. I've been fishing in Forster for years, and my target species is normally flathead or bream, that's what's worth catching there mate. The other day I caught myself a 57cm flathead.
Spent many years fishing in Forster on Christmas hols with the family growing up, yes dad and I caught many flathead and Bream from our canoe but winter time is Black fish time and great fun on light gear give it a try, all info on set up are on our channel. Would you recommend using a long shank hook? I feel like there would be a lot of gut hookup with that small a hook!
