This music is great! Y'all want the same boring classical music, but I like this routine. It's camp and her choreo is very quick-paced which helps with the rhythm.
It’s a weird mix of classical with techno which I don’t really like, and her choreo isn’t really as dynamic as is used to be. Idk maybe it’s because the video is potato quality. The ending is cute though
It's the fact literally every club and school had this music and always for the little kids. I hated this music then and I hate it now. Also odd because this literally is classical music and also is a classic floor music piece. Maybe it wasn't utterly overdone where you're based. In the UK at least it was always used at least once in every competition for younger kids. I sort of liked if the first time a teammate had it. But within the first week of her training the entire club grimaced every single time she went. But it would always get picked even though everyone hated it and it was so overdone because the audience would get involved clapping. Which would help with the overall performance element of it. And it is easy to choreograph a clean routine to. But this really is the same old overdone floor and is classical music. That's the exact reason I despise it. To me flavia deserves a million times better than this repetitive, annoying music that is synonymous with little kids and often very mediocre. Her routine is beautiful still. But the music is an insult to her with all the very heavy connotations for this music piece from here. Even worse - they also typically used to give this music to the kids that could barely dance because it was an easy beat and typically fast but easy, unoriginal, basic choreography. To be fair usually kids that couldn't dance well but were good at keeping straight legs and pointed toes since they always throw in some actual can can.

Still the case that this is in fact a classical and is in fact very common. The 2 things you claimed it wasn't 🤷🏼♀️ and the exact reasons I dislike this music. But especially for flavia because she deserves so much more than the music typically associated with small kids doing mediocre gymnastics who can't dance or find the rhythm unless it kicks them in the face. And that's fine and often expected for little kids - it is very much not flavia. And that is the association this overused, classical music has in the UK at least. 🤷🏼♀️ I made a point of saying I dunno where you're from as it really is surprising you'd claim this original and not samey, and that it's not classical. It was used on the international scene ages ago, then obviously filtered down to lower levels and stuck there because it suits that skill level and difficult to make original, nuanced choreography and anything but cheese performance. Flavia can manage it but it's sad she has to salvage the conception for many when she could start with great and make it phenomenal and truly special.
To those who say this music is childish or level 10, this is actually a high-energy classical music 😂which means it's very difficult (not level 10) to carry AND appreciated for a long time.
She needs to clean up her landings. not a single one of those landings was clean. A 6.75 E score says that there were more things wrong with that routine than that fall on the last pass. A fall like that a 0.5 deduction. Flavia's e-scores are usually in the low to mid 8's.
@@calihapamama The fall is a 1.0 deduction. Falls haven't been 0.5 since the 10.0 system. But yes, her landings need to be cleaner, as I'm sure she is well aware. Given that her landings were good-to-great throughout 2023, I'm not worried, it's early in the season and she's breaking in a new routine.

It really confuses me why Brazil coaches insist on having four passes rather than three. It is not the first time that Saraiva fell at the end...Rebecca couldn't control her last landing (also double pike) very well, easily 0.1-0.3 deduction in addition to the deductions for underrotation. What is in Brazil's coaches' mind? I desperately need an answer....
their dance elements are always being downgraded or not being credited at all, three passes would mean that they would have to add an extra dance element to make it up for the fourth diagonal not being included and it's very risky to do this because if their extra dance element is downgraded or not credited they would end up with a very low start value.

Maria Filatova's choreographer knew when to change the cute style to the mature one, and this just demonstrated how good she was on the floor. Saraiva is always doing the same thing because her choreographer wants her to, she is already 24 and must try to break out of the same situation.

I'm so confused that multiple gymnast have changed their routines since Worlds and not for the better. (The World's Routines were scoring well in this COP and all they had to work on was Execution and Possibly Upgrades)
Most elite gymnasts like to change their floor routines every year. It's tradition. But yeah, you'd expect them to save their best choreographies for Olympic years... On the bright side, it's early in the season. I'm sure this routine will look much better come Paris.

Of Course all these Gymnasts will have better Execution and probably more Difficulty within the Routine come the Olympics. She actually won't get the chest-down deduction for the double pike. You can't get more than 1.0 off for a single skills, so if you fall, you get the 1.0 deduction but nothing else.

You can take a fall plus the form deductions on a single skill, you just can’t exceed .8 in either flight or landing deductions. So it would be 1.0 for the fall, nothing for the chest down because that’s a landing error, but in the air form can still be deducted in addition to the fall

Amo a Flávia, mas eu achei essa coreografia fraca de artístico. Eu estou decepcionada com as músicas e coreografia da Júlia e Flávia, a da Jade eu gostei. Não sei se é falta de acentos músicas, para marca a coreografia dela, sei lá. Me parece que as coreografias da Isabel, da montesino e a da Hellen tem passadas mais marcadas nos acentos das músicas. Aliás estou ansiosa para ver a da montesino.

Não existe muito o que fazer, até pq não pode ser sensual demais, nem ousado... O código restringe muito as possibilidades de dança. As coreografias das brasileiras hoje são as melhores da atualidade, tanto é que o coreografo vive viajando para ensinar outros países como ele monta as rotinas delas.

I really like Saraiva, but this choreography is almost as bad as the camera person hired to film it. After the second pass her movements seem to bear no relation to the music. She appears to be standing in the corner for a full eight seconds. I've seen Level-5 gymnasts with better dance.
I'm curious to see the crowd in France. Honestly I'd be turned off by someone trying to directly appeal to me via that basic level of cultural identity, but I live in the New World as a first generation birth and can't say how "my" people in Europe would respond to it. For me, any time I see Flavia compete I am so excited. I believe considering her classical dance form that she could pull off everything beautiful. I would love to see a routine worthy of her.

I don't know but Rebeca and Flavia were both on the podium at 2023 Worlds. Jade has the potential to 2pc one of them out too.

I really like Saraiva, but this choreography is almost as bad as the camera person hired to film it. After the second pass her movements seem to bear no relation to the music. She appears to be standing in the corner for a full eight seconds. I've seen Level-5 gymnasts with better dance.
Same I love flavia and have been a fan since rio 😅 but the choreography is not great I preferred last years…

I'm curious to see the crowd in France. Honestly I'd be turned off by someone trying to directly appeal to me via that basic level of cultural identity, but I live in the New World as a first generation birth and can't say how "my" people in Europe would respond to it. For me, any time I see Flavia compete I am so excited. I believe considering her classical dance form that she could pull off everything beautiful. I would love to see a routine worthy of her.

I don’t honestly think the choreo suits her OR the music. It just looks like she couldn’t find the tempo.
Luckily, this competition doesn't really mean much. Bad performance and the song is as bad as Jade's hit me baby one more time.
