The process of not saving beats is mind blowing to me. I save everything, and just come back whenever I get writers block... I'm gonna try that process though, it seems creatively liberating

Man, I feel the same way sometimes. Where I don't really get inspired to create from listening to music itself, thought something was wrong with me, lol. My motivation and inspiration come from my environment. I can definitely resonate with you on being in dad/husband mode and balancing making music with family duties. I try not to be so hard on myself for not having as much time but sometimes those thoughts are still there. I do my best to just enjoy the process when I'm in my creative space. Your videos help. Appreciate you sharing your perspective, it really is inspiring bro!!
That dad/husband grind works at our advantage bro- when we get a peek of time we have learned to crunch creativity and maximize. When single we could find other aimless things to do. Idle time

I like to think he'd be proud of what I cook up but what always helps me keep going and creating is to think he's there listening to the beats and watching me throughout the whole process. I save everything, but then again I'm not a Dad, I was an uncle and heavily involved in My sisters kids when they where young but Me and sis dont talk nomore so My efforts where a waste. I should of been focusing on My own life and My women and patetul future children.

Yes my man - daddy time for me too when my daughter back from daycare 4pm ish - 8ish daddy time. But these days im stuck in the bottom of that barrel e-digging on UA-cam- havent found a gem in a while! ‘God & Art’ is on repeat tho peace!
I never experienced writers block I just run out of time, whenever I get fatigued, I just feel grateful that I'm not on my deathbed. Remind myself that Dilla made Donuts despite dying, Remind myself of how much my dad still wanted to do when he was alive how he died with a wet paint brush in his hand. Ill grind for hours doing something I dont like until I get that spark but I always find that spark I wont go to sleep until I do.
@@ConductorWilliams I feel that, when I was starting to feel stagnant, I went to a Roc Marci show and I happened to meet my current co producer and we set up studio time, and I thought I might have to use my old rhyme book but then God gave me plenty to say. because my father died suddenly and my stepmom immediately cut ties from me, the same day I find out that my best friend committed suicide and then I got into a major car accident where my face was permanently disfigured that same week. And I am so grateful to have Hip Hop as a tool to give me the capacity to express and process these events. I feel I can relate more to others now and felt compelled to offer some of my own love to the world through art to help articulate the things that need said and the moments that need felt.
