Story 4: Absolutely the jerk! I adore my children and couldn't care less about what random strangers might think of me. I HAVE sang happy birthday to them in public and never gave a single thought to whether someone might think it's "embarrassing." The woman in this story clearly has no children and wouldn't make a good step-mom... When it comes to making my kids happy, embarrassment isn't even a consideration. Non-parents likely won't understand, but when you have your own some day, you'll finally understand that their happiness is YOUR happiness.

I'm not a parent but I agree that it takes a special person to be a parent. Every child deserves parents but not every parent deserves children. I'll also agree that raising good children to become responsible and respectful adults requires a lot of patience. Obviously some people have missed that part of the instruction manual which is why we see so many entitled buttholes freaking out over insignificant things like expired coupons.

Yeah, I was on the fence until OP got butthurt over dad singing to his kid. Like, who tf cares? It's a man wanting to be not just a provider, but a loving one to his child. Just because you're allowed to borrow something doesn't mean you have the right to go into their room whenever you feel like it. When I lived with my sister I always knocked on her bedroom door and always asked for permission to go in if she let me borrow something. And living there rent free, why can't op get the things she needs with her own money? if op has no money thats on her and sometimes you have to give up things. "Daily hair and skin routine" well youre going to have to give that up until you get a job. she doesnt really need it that bad. Op is 100% in the wrong and her sister isn't overreacting

If she's mad bc she thought her feelings were more important than anyone else's in this situation, she clearly doesn't have any business being with someone who has a child.

Also, what's with the constant borrowing from your sister!? Get your own hygiene, makeup, hair blower, etc.! Don't have enough money for that? Have your parents send you a Walmart/Amazon or other store card with some money on it. Going forward stop borrowing from your sister and stop barging into the master bedroom and bathroom. Those are private spaces. You have been very rudely acting like you own the place, and your sister and her husband are your guests. Unless you want to be kicked out of a rent free living arrangement, CUT IT OUT!
HECK & DUMB NATION! When I was 8 years old I decided to never marry, or have a boyfriend, or have kids. Frankly, I'm surprised that your sister didn't finally kick you out after you barged in on them having private time together. If it had been me, I would definitely have kicked you out after that. I'm actually wondering if maybe you have actually been doing all this on purpose. Perhaps you are jealous of your sister's marriage and better living situation. Story 1
Not the jerk, that woman is just immature and has no idea that you can’t just “Fight people for your husbands hand” Also, your daughter is a hero
    Story 2
You’re the jerk, you know how much your girlfriend loves that dummy, and you decide to scream at her that it’s creepy. It’s okay to find it uncomfortable, but as the response said, you could’ve calmly told her that you don’t like the dummy and ask if she could keep it away when you’re around. And you get her an expensive necklace when you know she doesn’t like jewelry and expect her to like it? Why not buy her something Goosebumps related?
    Story 3
Not the jerk, your boyfriend is mature enough to know that calling your girlfriend a bitch is not okay or mature at all, and rather than apologize, he tried to cover it up with “It’s just a trend”
    Story 4
You’re the jerk, the father was just trying to cheer up his son and make his birthday special, and you feel like you’re entitled to tell him not to sing to his son; it’s okay to feel embarrassed, but he was trying to make his son happy
    Story 5
You’re the jerk, your sister is entitled to her privacy and of course she’s gonna get upset at you after you keep barging in her room, it’s not that hard to just knock!

  • @101Sonicninja
    @101Sonicninja Рік тому +188

Story 1: Not the jerk and I hope that you and your husband did get your daughter some well deserved ice cream after driving away that crazy lady.
Story 2: assuming that what the friends/acquaintances of the GF are telling the truth, then OP is the jerk. Heck even if we take away their portion of the story, I would still say OP is the jerk of the story. There was absolutely no reason for you to have blown up the way you did when you saw your GF at the door with her skippy doll.
Story 3: Honestly makes me glad that I don't have a tik tok, mainly because those trends just keep getting stupider and stupider. But I don't know how to feel about this story, mainly because I grew up where we curse either because we're serious about it or because we're just joking around with other people who know we're just joking and even throw some jabs back as well.
Now if you told your BF that you weren't comfortable being called a B then yeah I could understand your actions a bit better. But if you didn't say anything beforehand and just expected him to just somehow magically know what your taboo words are then I would say that you're both in the wrong and didn't handle the situation like grown ass adults. I also can't help but wonder if there is more going on behind the scenes with the OP than what she was letting on in this story.
Either way I'm more upset that food was wasted for no good reason.
Story 4: Gonna use the taboo word from the previous story for this one, but lady not only are you the jerk, but you're also a bitch as well.
Your BF was just trying to cheer up his son while his mother is sick, from what I've gathered in your story, I can't help but feel like you've purposefully withheld just how sick the boy's mother is. All I can say is.if you truly care about not only your BF but your BF's family then you should really take a hard look at yourself and decide whether or not you're gonna start taking your BF and his family more seriously moving forward, because if not then you just need break up with him and let him focus his attention on his son without any distractions.
Story 5: If you're living rent free at your sister's and her husband's house the very least you could do is respect their privacy and stop barging into their room whenever it's convenient for you. And I agree with your sister and that you should apologize to her husband. I would say that if you don't apologize to her and to her husband, then I think your sister should just kick you out of their house as well. No one should have to deal with a disrespectful little shit in their own home regardless if they are family or not.

It's one thing if they're both already in a conversation where they're poking jabs at each other for fun, but to just walk up to your girlfriend randomly and ask her what's for dinner while she's cooking it and calling her a B is asking for a break-up. 10+ years ago our “friend’s” sister kept hitting in my boyfriend, now husband. She was in her mid 30s, twice divorced with 2 kids. She made every excuse to see my boyfriend. Every time she saw me she gave me the dirty look of “you’re the only reason why I can’t have him.” My boyfriend made it very clear to me that even if I wasn’t in his life he had no interest in her. She’s not his type, plus he does not want to be a dad to someone else’s children. He kept brushing her off, finding every excuse to say how great a girlfriend I am, and that he doesn’t want to be a stepdad. Finally my MIL had enough and decided to confront her. My husband doesn’t like confrontation which is why he held off.

Honestly, while I know the OP fouled up making his girlfriend cry with his reaction (or overreaction), I don't think that warrants everyone he knows digging into him for said reaction. Everyone has their own opinions and interests. The girlfriend was into horror for as long as she can remember, but no matter how supportive her friends and family are of her interests, there's ALWAYS going to be a time when horror does what it is meant to do: freak you out. The girlfriend and OP's respective roommates may have bagged on the OP very badly, and even more so when he was looking for advice online, but can they honestly say that if they were in OP's situation, that any of them wouldn't have been at least a little startled or shocked. And as long as the OP acknowledges his screw-up, and keeps himself in check for the future, then none of his friends should chew him out no more than the bare minimum. Because to me, as the story progressed, it quickly turns into OP vs the world for his overreaction.

Imagining the first story with mortal kombat is great as hell. Op Fatality being her daughter puking on the red head.

The fact that the OP’s boyfriend at 11:30 was doing that for a TikTok trend justifies her reaction perfectly and I admire her reaction to it

Nah it does not. He's clearly a childish jerk. Yes. But first, her response was way out of proportion. And secondly, she admitted herself that she wouldn't communicate as to what her boundaries are. If you won't set your boundaries you can't expect people to take you seriously when you bjtch and whine.
She is the bigger jerk here, they deserve each other. I sincerely believe your moral compass is out of wack if you admire someone like that.

Not a freaking jerk. (I LOVE THE DAUGHTER! SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE WANTS!) Why would she think she is a jerk? That doesn’t make sense

Story 3: I love it when people think they get a free pass because they are copying bad behaviour they saw online. He thought he had an excuse to talk down to her after she cooked pasta for him. Then expected her to clean it? Or what? He''ll leave her and she'll be sorry? Sure ... his next gf will be thrilled to clean up that pasta sauce.

Story 2 that "roommate" is a garbage human being too. It's one thing to rally against the interest of someone because of discontent - rightfully that ended the relationship for the better of both parties involved - though I sure hope he at least got the necklace back in that case.
As for the roommate - gaslighting and manipulative b - absolutely no words for the level of gloating. Response was totally disproportionate. Instead of keeping her composure she stooped to the same level - just stupid.
