everybody has their own opinions. That's why in martial arts there are many varied ways to fight. There is silat, there is gong fu, there is TKD, karate, etc. Most of them from warfare in the old days. The modern MMA is just something that evolved from these ancient arts of defense. Some of them with intricate moves, some very simple moves. So, it's really up to you to choose one to learn and be a master of. One thing for sure, don't be a master of comments without any kind of knowledge in what you're commenting. :p

I was going to mention that. His head should be in a more upright position to prevent the guillotine from the double leg take down.

Silat is the movement to lock the opponent's movement unable to counter. I think he demonstrates the wrong technique.

I may not be a master or expert but definately not stupid either. History itself is a proof, you may parry or evade a punch but you can never catch a punch in real life scenario !

Pretty sure he has, he has a background in boxing and kickboxing before he started training Silat

Silat are decades for real life scenario. First, its one of requered person to perform pilgirmary/haji to makkah saudi arabia, there will be arab badui who want to rob you because you have some diamonds in your belt for buying something (not money nor gold). In some place, there's though life thats really need silat.

silat actualy not self-defence, self-defence are karate & tae-kwon-do, but jiujitsu are not. thats why, in the society , self-defense like karate are welcome well.

You can catch it, not grab it. When you catch a punch it's to check it, like you check a lowkick with your leg. He's not showing a grab on the punch. He check the punch and go for the take down right away... Open your eyes people.

Ummm no. That this crap to a local MMA gym and get hit so hard it rearranges your DNA
That straight forward double works better with calf blocks not hamstrings.
His version of a shot evade by taking a giantvarching back step takes him off balance. A wrestler will just swing it into a long shot and still get him.

why not search in this youtube and then shares here the result, like try: "silat ufc" or something else?

He is showing techniques and principles, they don't work by themselves. If I show you a big telegraphed haymaker and tell you "this is an effective punch" you'll say I'm crazy it's easy to see coming, easy to counter...However Khabib put McGregor on his butt with a big telegraphed haymaker.... But he set it up. You can see many techniques that shouldn't work working in UFC. It's easy to say you can counter when you're watching a video. Of course real strikes and pressure test change everything but some people pull out techniques you can't imagine. It's martial arts bro, there is art in it.

Whatever. Go to your local MMA gym and leave your negative attitude there.
Or do both so you have some idea of what you are talking about.
Wrestling and bjj are great, but they are not the end of the line mate.
