You are THE BEST at finding a gorgeous sunkissed- natural look. My valentino blush in 02 is my go to- natural sun effect- I'm 43- fair, dry skin- and found Chanel's oversized powder at Nordstrom today- since I didn't get it last year and its the only color I could find- but love these blushes too!! You have some kind of. magic recreating a natural sun/bronzed look. I love it!!
I didn't mention above- but I purchased the Valentino blush because of you! I'll start using your affiliate links so you can keep dong what you do 🥰@@TheHoodedLid
I love the way this looked on you even without the blush it look like a natural tan. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that you put your bronzer where the sun would naturally hit your face. It helps so much in seeing how The undertones look. When people put it on it is a contour it’s really hard to tell it just looks like a bronze beard to me. Anyway very good video I’ve been considering the cream bronzer in medium but now I’m thinking maybe the darker one would look better. The lighter shade did not work for me at all. Thank you!
I'm going to purchase one too and I went from thinking 392 medium would be perfect to maybe even the 395...Which did you end up getting and is it as great as everyone says?
Thank you so much for applying this like a regular bronzer instead of contour as I’ve seen everybody do. All these cream contours and all these reviews and they apply it like contour. I want to see a bronzer applied like a bronzer for a Sunkissed glow across the cheeks for head and even the nose and I haven’t gotten that from anybody except for you and by the way your voice is so soothing and I really needed that right this moment so, you have a new subscriber and thank you!
A very pretty look! This is the first time I’ve understood why you shy away from the warm bronzers. The powder “bronzer” looks lovely on your skin. Thanks for the comparison.
The powder did the trick! Loved it with the blush. I've been going for a similar look using Charlotte Tillbury bronze and glow with Nars OrgasmX blush, and I can see why it works now. On a side note, going by background sounds, you have a window air conditioner, live close to a fairly busy street, and not to far from an airport. You have a laminate floor in your filming room (doggy nails).
I am 59, and have the same color tone and undertone as you. I went rogue and bought the Chanel Deep crème bronzer (the deepest one) and it’s PERFECT - I.e. no yellowness, reddish brown, and gorgeous. I know it sounds like it would be too deep, but I implore you to try it (with a light hand ). I think it will work!!
Gorgeous bronzed glow at the end. When I first saw the swatch of the powder I did doubt your sanity for a moment - it really tended toward orange and I thought the cream would be better. I thought the cream ended up making you look dirty somehow. The powder made you look like you had a healthy tank and glow - and looked like a good match for face and the yellow you have on your neck. I am freckled, light skinned, with a lot of redness but I have a bit of a yellow collar round my neck - makes finding foundations interesting. I bought a couple in the same colour as you tested and they’re great, if extortionately expensive!
I doubt my sanity regularly! Interestingly, the Guerlain was much warmer than the Chanel. I'm still playing with this, wearing both again today. But the next few days I'll wear each alone and see what happens...
Your voice and intonation sounds a lot like You Tuber Michele Wang. That’s a compliment! Has anyone else noticed it? Anyway, thanks for the effort you put into your channel. I really enjoy it. 💕
No one has ever made that association before - although I have received compliments on my voice - some people find it relaxing (and who among us doesn't need to relax?) Thanks so much!
Good morning! I am almost finished with my canmake mermaid sunscreen! I need a 5 gallon bucket of that stuff! I love it. Just ordered the Make prem that you recently reviewed! I wish these sunscreens would come in 5-10 ounce packaging, I go through it so quickly!
Good morning. Thank you for the video. On you I prefer the powder version that I think that suits you more and the slightly glow helps 👌. For me I prefer the CT one because of the color, it's more cool tone has I usually looking for. Stay safe. Ida
Just had the cream bronzer as a gift from by husband , and searched YT for a tutorial and here I found one . Never thought to apply it with a beauty blender , I tried this morning and loved this the way it turned out . You have beautiful skin . Xxx
I loved the powder on you - and just like you, after you swatched, I didn't think I would like that one. It is so funny how much things change when we apply them.
You look fantastic, you remind me of Kathleen Turner!!! I agree that the powder Chanel blended out with red/pink blush looks natural and healthy. I have similar skin tone and the bronzer higher on the cheek looks more natural with the little sheen and life it brings to the face. Just found your channel and I love it, I'm 54 and appreciate a lighter touch and application> The chicken/rooster sounds at the end/beginning are hilarious lol!!
Both bronzers look gorgeous on you. If I have to choose one, I would go with the powder. Thank you so much for reviewing bronzers because of you, I am no longer afraid of them and love using on my eyes too. Your look is so beautiful. You look like you just returned from a tropical vacation. I have some fuzzy beauty blenders too lol. Often when one falls onto the floor, my cat Winston (persian) plays with it.
I prefer the powder bronzer on you. I've used them together for a bit more color. Did you find the powder has a blurring effect? I thought it helped blur the pores on my cheeks and nose. Don't know why it took me 20 years to figure out to go back in with my foundation brush or beauty blender to correct too much pigment placement😂 Another great honest video. I love that you aren't just trying to sell us products🥰
Thank you so much for doing this review of the Chanel powder bronzer. I bought the deep as it looked better for my cool complexion but have now just ordered the medium after seeing your review. The deep works for me but I have to be careful to tap once into the pan & knock off the excess. Thank you so much 😍
Hi! Just found your channel. The powder looks so beautiful paired with the azalea blush on your complexion. Thanks for the comparison of powder vs cream. I’ve been on the fence about which formulation to try.
I have the same skin color and the best tone in Chanel bronze cream is Deep Tan is a cool tone you have to tried you will love, the original and the medium are too warm for me
Thank you for the video! The CT bronzer that you swatched was it the cream version? I really liked the tone of that one! Love the final look, so beautiful!
Your skin is just so beautiful. I bought the powder one in Light, it’s actually more neutral in person than the photo online. But the fragrance is a little strong in mine. I have a couple other bronzers on the go, so I will wait awhile to start this new one and maybe the fragrance will fade some.
I have the same problem with the cream bronzer from Chanel and I also tried the new colors.... Very unfortunate. I love the cream bronzer from fenty and the powder from hourglass. Have already tried so much and come back to this combination again and again. Greetings Laila 💕
I have the new formulation of the Chanel cream bronzer in the lightest shade. I’m kind of mad! I had picked out a bronzer by Fenty beauty and I was on my way out and this more mature woman, that is my age, who I’ve known forever that works in the make up industry stopped me and said hello and told me she was now working with Chanel and I didn’t know they started carrying Chanel at Ulta. Anyway she asked me what I bought and she told me that it wasn’t right for me and immediately took me to the Chanel Le Beige bronzing cream and asked if she could apply it. She applied it and she said it looked awesome but I really couldn’t tell a difference but I felt bad. I had already had on bronzer and contour and a full face of make up so I couldn’t tell it all but she was said she was blown away by the way it looked and she usually steers me in the right direction. I am so afraid to touch this because it’s perfection when you open it and it’s $50 which is a lot of money to me and I don’t mind spending that if it’s going to work. I believe you have the medium shade and I have darker skin than you do and she said there were only two shades, light and dark. Well I started researching afterwards and found out that there were three shades and that where she worked just only carried two. It’s obvious shade tmedium would’ve been much better for me and so I feel duped but she just tried to sell me this product and it wasn’t even the right color for me. I opened it up and it looks like my skin color so it’s not going to work and now I’m researching all sorts of cream bronzers everywhere because I want a cream bronzer. I will go through your videos and see what I can find!
I myself am not a bronze wearer. Being from Hawaii I was always envious of those fair skinned beauties! I like a bit of blush to perk up my complexion. You look terrific with the bronze/blush combo!
That’s surprising and amazing they didn’t turn out to be too warm/yellow on you - I’m curious why, because I’m neutral too and would expect the same thing you did. I knew that flat black brush looked like Wayne Goss Airbrush - I was going to get it at the last Beautylish gift card event but it was sold out - I thought it was gone forever but the website said “coming soon” - yeay!! I have his number 10 white goat hair but I don’t have any squirrel hair brushes - I squirrel is really soft. I have the discontinued (natural hair) blush and powder brushes from Bobbi Brown (love the blush brush) but the powder one sheds more and is scratchier - since they are synthetic now I don’t know if they are sable hair or what, but for the price I didn’t expect scratchy! I understand wanting to go completely animal product free but there’s something special about how natural hair deposits powder and I don’t think animals are harmed for the hair (or I hope not). Even the iconic Tom Ford bronzer brush is synthetic now, which I’m sure you know, but us late to the gamer’s are out of luck.
I think the blushes I added helped a lot. Re: the brush - I use the WG Airbrush every day to powder my face. But the brush I used here is either a Suquu (avail only on Selfridges site) or Surratt. If you're interested, let me know and I'll check.
I really like the powder bronzer on you. I like a nice subtle bronzer myself. I’ve seen so many people review this but so far I can’t find it anywhere online or in store.
I know - it was at Nordstrom for a few days and I "caught" it there. Check my community page - that's where I'll put an update when I see it's in store again. I think it will be out next week!
Thank you. I love this look on you especially the Chanel bronzing powder. How do these compare with CT bronzer? They all look great on you - I won’t buy more than one and would love your feedback :)
I definitely prefer the powder on you, it’s lovely. Also the cream bronzer is very close to the universal shade so I got the deepest and like it better. I am lighter than you.
Powder. For sure. Beauty blender and dog hair. I know it well. Thankfully my boy’s short black hair doesn’t cling to clothing much. But yep - it’s on the floor.
Lucy sheds so much, I don't understand how she has any fur on her body - lol. I wore the powder on my chest today which has a very red zone, but around that it's very white and I wanted to even up a bit to match my face. I liked that application a lot!
I think it's lighter as well. I used it on my chest today which has redness - but around that redness it's really white. It's nice there and I don't worry about it melting away!
Who is that tanned beauty? Why, she’s just returned from the Sintra coastline. There you be in all your summery bronzed face. The Chanel, both powder and crème, work very well with your colouring. Perhaps the redness in your skin meshes well w/the more yellow/orange shades. Whatever the case may be you indeed look like the proverbial California beach girl. The blonde locks don’t hurt. Your hair is looking healthy. I have a suggestion for a video that is rather selfish. Imagine you have been invited for a long weekend with friends you’ve not seen in aeons. You have an old train case of your grandmother’s to devote solely to your cosmetics and brushes. Which products including brushes would you take? Just an idea in case you run out of them.
I like this idea! I am planning to do a "what to pack for a beach vacation" pretty soon....but maybe I'll do something like your idea later on down the line!
I love everything about you and your content. You are one of the few people I trust on here. Thank you. Don't go anywhere
I appreciate that!!

I think this is my favorite look on you! Such a natural, pretty, glow. I think the combo of cream and powder worked well.

Love the bronzed look you achieved! I am happy I picked up the medium powder bronzer since I like that one best on you. Mine has not arrived yet
I can’t pick. They both look beautiful, very natural.
Oooo nice, loved how you opened it!
The slide out
Gorgeous bronzed glow at the end. When I first saw the swatch of the powder I did doubt your sanity for a moment - it really tended toward orange and I thought the cream would be better. I like the cream one, because it looks like skin and it is better for dry skin. The powder one looks better on oily skin.👍
I love the packaging and the finish of both bronzers however I still think they pull orange a tad. Blush looks beautiful.
They do pull warm, for sure. Without seeing in person, it's tough - but that's why I'm here...so others can get a better idea of the colors.
I loved the powder on you - and just like you, after you swatched, I didn't think I would like that one. It is so funny how much things change when we apply them.
I prefer the cream FOR SURE
I’m going to give this Chanel powder a try. I’m like you in that a prefer a cooler/red toned bronzer but this looks great on you.
Powder:) looks great!!!!
Ha I ordered the dry oil and medium bronzer not the powder… lol
I liked the powered one better, you always find away to fix your makeup to make it look better for you. Loved the video.
Seems that most people prefer the powder. I still have to do a few days with each alone to decide!
Chanel is better with the brush 👌🏻it blend’s so nice 😊
