I guess I will never understand how someone can be out on a boat with nothing but beauty all around you and you are stareing at a small electronic device like it is going to suddenly make you rich.
the info you gave was wrong about the Seaswirl Striper the year is right but state is wrong the State it was founded in was Oregon , the name of the company was Bramco out of Camby Oregon then in the early 70's moved to Culver Oregon in Central Oregon were the name of Seaswirl was coined and Striper was built for off shore fishing along with other styles of skiboats and lake boats. Then in the early 2000's was sold off to North Carolina and or Minnesota and only make the Striper model, I worked there In Culver 1980's and my Wife in early 90's.
Whalers are damned near invincible in capable hands. Until something breaks, that is... That Sea Hunt was lucky! It was almost like he was trying to "tube" that boat. It's never good to drive in the trough with waves breaking over the side!
I cannot guarantee it 100 percent, but it's possible that it was a rental. It was the first time the person driving the boat went out through Boca Inlet. Usually, someone who knows how tricky Boca Inlet can be takes more precautions.
That Wellcraft had a nice dry ride! You really can't go wrong with one of those.
Been in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico in a Wellcraft v20 night fishing oil platforms.
Handled it like a champ.
Wild and crazy day
Going out in a small boat in these conditions is just plain dumb!
File under the catagory "Stupid is as Stupid Does"
It's always small craft advisory at the inlet!!! 😂

How much will it cost them to get the boat off the rocks?
More than the boat is worth
@@TanDawg58 it’s not going to be cheap. I searched and this boat model is selling for around 20k, if I’m not wrong
@@BoatZone not after it smashed the rocks.
"Just waitin' for my set."

Thanks Curtis, I will update the info..
I always wonder if my 2301 striper 2003 was a safe boat and that year did it have wood, thank you sir
That’s actually pretty cool thanks for sharing.
The guy on the Whaler actually looked pretty competent, he just didn't have enough boat for the conditions. The couple on that Sea Hunt got lucky!

We did it all the time.
Told the girls to sit up front and then found as much chop as possible.
THUMBS UP
beam to breakers that couple had a death wish. no clue how to operate in those conditions.
These people are the definition of privilege.
It’s several thousand dollars to get a tow
More money than brains in Boca these days
I hope the insurance ,if these dopes have it won’t cover their loss.
