PS2 has to be the most underrated RPGs of all time, in terms of backstory. It's a dystopian scifi theme, though it isn't told well enough in the game, leaving a lot of grinding. Still, if you are a sci-fi fan and tired of all the fantasy RPGs, play this one. Even if it's decades old. Be sure to research the story.
just have one question... ONE question... considering how EPIC this remix is, why the hell didn't Takanobu Masuda also record a version of Rise or Fall in this style? That track is one of the most butt-kicking, adrenaline-pumping battle songs to ever grace an RPG and it already rocks. Imagine how insanely awesome it would be arranged in the same style as he did with Field Medley. Somebody skilled in music making needs to do it!
Brilliant job! Really an achievement to make the pieces even better, most remixes I think make pieces/songs worse. I have to say that the second piece is much better than the first. The second piece is a work of art. Well done!
I get sad and happy at the same time when i listen to this song. reminds me of when i was a lil kid, couldnt understand half of the game but carried on playing. Thanks for putting this up :)
incredible!!!!!Genious!!!!!!It Must be Hard Work, but people Dream about Making the Sound Tracks To these Vid Games!!!!Rock on Man!!!!!live Free and Ride Hard!!!!!!
Holy shit, this is incredible. As someone who played and replayed Phantasy Star II several times back during the early-to-mid-'90s, there's some incredibly warm fuzzies here.
The music tonevis too loddy dodfy happy hoppy, like a morning children tv show, most ofvthe classic PhantasyStar2 tracks needed to remove/reducecthe high pitch or low bit tones that made itvsound like nightmare non in-game musical device feedback issues
Still, to this very day, Phantasy Star 2 remains my favorite RPG game...Ever!!
HECK, YES!!! I LOVE THE WHOLE FRANCHISE WITH A PASSION!!!!!!!!!!!(^ v ^)
You got that right my friend.
I’m glad I’m not the only one.

Thanks for letting me know, I'll check it out.
Catchy; perhaps especially, roughly, the second half of this segment.
Amazingly, the music still sounds better coming from a Genesis than any other source.
Full first OST cd in my profile, cd2 coming soon.

i can has download? this is awesome!
いいね!
NICE CAN DOWNLOAD?
ps2 lives on yes
If this piece of music played in the Raffon fields on Parum in PSU, I'd actually find that area bearable instead of dull and "meh."
As consumer, I'm all for it as well...Nevertheless, as long as Sega feels it's not going to help their bottom line, it's not going to happen.
This is from an age long ago
Sounds like Turrican.
search for a site called "Galbadia Hotel"
the background looks like Pioneer 2 from Phantasy Star Online
