I think that what we’ve seen over the past few months is that almost every team could beat anyone. Just drop your performance a small amount and the other countries are good enough to beat you. At this time I’d say France v Ireland (if the draw permits that possibility) would be a likely final. However I’m not going to dismiss any of the top teams as I think it is very likely some will improve and others might have peaked too early/will underperform. Very exciting possibilities.

People are writing off the Southern Hemisphere teams but remember these are merely friendlies. Come RWC time, the likes of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa will once again be a force. Only England have ever prevented the big Southern Hemisphere teams from lifting the trophy, and I doubt this England team can match 2003, though one can only dream. And as good as France and Ireland have been, they falter on the world stage. The French must improve on their runner up finishes soon, surely?
