    Love the little edf jets, lower cost and not as complicated. I was surprised when I visited my local hobby shop yesterday which is a Horizon vendor and distributor, they had 4 of these come in so I snag one up, will probably maiden it this weekend......

Oh I’m not using safe by the. Way.

    This is the first Habu I've been remotely interested in since they discontinued the 80mm Habu 32x almost 4 years ago. That thing was a beautiful wood and fiberglass ARF... an absolute steal for $300. If they offered the same thing today they would probably ask $650

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  Рік тому +1

      You have to give throttle before it will activate, then it's VERY subtle on faster planes, so don't be surprised...however, with SAFE on you will always see the ailerons "favor" the quicker route to level to the plane...so good way to see if the system is working.

    Any reason the esc doesn’t react to a charged battery out of the box Brian? I think I may have jumped the gun thinking mine was a dud. I watched your video and it looked like you have to press the bind button (like anyone would know where to find it under that mess of wires) or insert a bind plug before the ESC comes to life is that right? Would appreciate your thoughts thanks. Also what a messy wiring job. Is it normal to have one yellow wire not plugged in anywhere out of the box? Is that supposed to be a bind plug?

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  Рік тому +1

      When it's NEW, it is a BNF (bind and fly) therefore you must BIND it before you'll see any activity. You can press the BIND BUTTON (looks like the SPEKTRUM log on the receiver), then press and hold your bind button on your Transmitter, while powering up (or do like I do in the videos with the Function List - Bind, and follow screens), and then it will say DSMX 22mm, Telemtry, (etc) then she will SPRING TO LIFE.

    • @stevejohnston8543
      @stevejohnston8543 Рік тому

      @@BrianPhillipsRC OK, thank you for the quick reply. That’s what it looked like watching your video. However, any other time I’ve had a bind and fly it seems to me I’ve had power to the ESC before binding. Regardless, I have a little yellow wire, not plugged in anywhere would that be a bind plug? It’s one wire where it appears there should be three. It’s very fragile.

      As for your Dad passing, please accept my condolences.
      When you get into flying, weather it's inheritance or just a "good deal" at a swap meet...you gotta learn to fly in the correct order, or you'll end up being what we call a "One and Done" - which is where someone starts with a too far advanced plane, and gives up due to a really bad first experience. We want to help you AVOID this.
      As for beginner planes, here's our SHORT list, and you can start on one or any of these, or maybe you Dad left you one of these???

      Any battery can catch fire in fact the battery in your phone is a lithium battery and incredibly dangerous. Take proper precautions when charging. They don’t just blow up for no reason they always give you a sign (puffing, out of balance, heat.) And most importantly have a fire escape plan as well as a fire extinguisher nearby.

    Phillips head hardware? 🤷🤦‍♂️
    Cmon horizon! For a minimum of $200+, having 4 or 6 screws, HEX HEAD dont cost more than a penny MORE! Commander had PHH!

      I always swap my hardware on eflite/fms to hex head. Trash Phillips head screws.
      During my rc racing career, i always said: 'nothing screams CHEAP like Phillips head screws'.
