Hello there i purchased my Otter a couple yrs ago and pulled it out for the first time today to run it. I had a hard time getting the pressure gauge to come on. The Otter did produce pretty good pressure however I could not tell how much because the pressure gauge was not working. Is there a way to fix this or diagnose it. is it possible that I did something wrong in putting it together. Thanks for any suggestions that you can give.

Did you ever figure out the problem with the gauge?
I have the exact same issue...it doesn't show anything on the gauge...otherwise I can tell the pressure is fine but it would be better to know what pressure I'm running.

No I have not figured it out yet. The pump works well but no gauge action

@@mecco35 have you tried loosening or even taking off the pressure gauge to see if there's an airpocket that needs to be bled out?

Absolutely, that would be a great setup. www.cleanprosupply.com

How much water pressure does the otter need to work? Can you run water from a portable to feed the otter?

Hi Sean, the technical answer is none. The Water Otter can draw from a pail or a drum if you just drop your source line into it. Hooking up the source line to a normal hose tap would be fine as well as there is roughly 45psi coming out of your typical hose hookup. However running pressurized water (higher than the hose hookup) into the otter is not recommended. Let us know if you have any other questions.
