At the eastern end, Ring 3 starts as part of the E6 but at one point becomes Rv 150 instead. That caught me by surprise last summer as I was supposed to continue on the E6 which had just taken off, oops! 🙄 I had to take the next exit and then backtrack.
That last tunnel of 4,5 km is something of a worrying trend in major European cities: putting traffic underground in long tunnels under their city centres ... Traffic should be kept out of the city centres and diverted outwards to ring roads in the first place. Putting it underground in tunnels is a false solution. It just sucks in more traffic ....

I also drove wrong here and had to turn around in some office park to get onto the E18 😀

It's definitely not a cheap solution but in Oslo this is technically part of the ring road, since the center of the city is right on the water.
There arent many other options to put that highway tbh
