We're from the S.F. Bay Area ..My dad was a team mechanic for his friend, Joe Leonard back in the 1950's. Joe was three time AMA Grand National Champion, 1954, 56 and 57 before racing Indy cars from 1966 thru 1973. So anyway, I raced AMA Superbikes in the 1980's ..and I think these more complex tracks is a great direction for the Sport, simply because All of Americas past Moto GP champions, from Kenny Roberts, Spencer, Rainey, Lawson, Schwantz, Roberts Jr. and Nicky Haden ...were the last of Americas true flat track racers/champions and I think its fundamental for our boys to get back on the dirt, to pursue more MotoGP championships. Go JD Beach...
@@BobbyOfEarth im not sure about that, I'll have to ask him. He was around the Illinois area then Florida. I myself would love to try flat track. I have a 94cr500 that runs like a champ. Im in northern California 45min north of Reno. Doesn't seem to be any tracks around here.
@@matthewlewis9996 - They used to run flat track in Lodi every weekend at the Lodi Cycle Bowl. I don't know if they still hold races. LCB was an institution for many years. It would be hard to imagine that it died.
BEST TRACK EVER! Keep up the GREAT TT races. Very good racing in all the classes at all of the races so far, it sure is nice to see different riders at the top every week instead of just the same two every time. Now if SUPERCROSS can do the same thing(using there head) or let a rider design the track. GO J.D. Beach! Come on H.D. your getting there keep it up.....

I love this sport and want to see it continue to grow. However, for that to happen we need tracks everywhere that kids can ride on and grow into the sport. My kids would've loved this but in south florida there was nowhere to do it. So they played hockey, lacrosse, and football instead. Would be nice to see kids riding dirt track too!
Ascot tt ,held 1'st Saturday every mo.was a good race to spectate until the 500 singles started whooping up on the heavier 750 cc twins ( beating them) then it became boring❗Guys like Eddie Mulder, and a little later Skip Van Lewin were great to watch, along with all the other competitors ❗🎯
Used to be a big sport in the 70's in USA. It's called "Flat Track". It's seen a recent rise in interest, probably because the stars in MotoGP all train it alot and built their own tracks. Search for "Superprestigio" on youtube.

Why do these bikes DON'T have the front fender?
Front tires too big on most of them. Tradition look, some classes run no front brake as well
