My first bass was a 5 string performer, solid guitars but the one I had was heavy hard to play unless you had really big hands. My favorites I’ve tried in that price range were sire m2 or 5 or the Jackson spectra x series. More tones and more ergonomic.

Same thing as in Warwicks, tone is great, but the ergonomics are lacking. 1st fret is too far away and the body is too small.

Depends on which model you have. Warwick makes many models that have unique shapes and some have more traditional shapes. The best balanced models I've played have been the streamer and vampyre.

Those Spector basses sound pretty good. The blue one looks nice too.
I have an old deep purple hh passive spector that is pretty sweet with the same body and I really like it.

    Good bass for the price.

The cheap spectors aren't all that, the high end ones are good but the cheap ones leave a lot to be desired.
My main bass (for financial reasons) is a spector performer 4 modded with swapped pickups.

I have a prior model of the 5-sting Performer. Didn't play it for 6 years. Then I manually fitted Fishman Fluance pickups. So much better. I play it at all my gigs now. The stock pickups are unusable.

Ive played the US and EU spectors (obviously way above these price ranges like a few in the 1200-1500 all the way up to 5k-8k) and they’re incredible, it just sucks that you have to shell out at LEAST 1200-1500 for a solid instrument it seems, at least as far as spector is concerned.

I had a legend 5 in that same blue color (well, two of them, but both had to be returned for QC defects)
Now I have ans NS Pulse II, and it is worlds better. Other than the color, It's perfect in my opinion. And I'm sure the USA/Czech models are even better

I'd rather more playing than talking in bass demos like this
