Great idea for a top in the late season, it’s a good way to know which anime are doing good and which aren’t and maybe putting some spotlight on some anime, also I think that it is important to of course not take the ratings as a direct reflection of the quality of the anime, great vid
I think scores are pretty relevant in general, I rarely enjoyed an anime who had a bad score on Myanimelist even if it doesn't mean that I loved every anime with a high score

Wdym by “great idea for a top in the late season” so you are saying it is a great idea to create a top anime video later in the season because most episodes for the shows have aired and we can actually have an accurate rating of what show is good or not and not and the rating is not just based on hype like how it is at the beginning of the season?
@@patheticyoungboyspodcast7386 Yep, that’s the idea behind it yes, and mostly because it’s better to have multiple episodes in to have a good idea of how to score an anime in general

Glad to see Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest make top 5, and ofc that's because it's one of my childhood anime, and at least the story (so far) better than the final season.
Also can't wait for the next season to see another of my childhood anime (Bleach)!
As of the writing of this comment Monogatari's MAL score has actually gone up to 9.02 making it the 11th highest score on the site, and technically tied for ninth. It's my favorite show of the season but even I am surprised at how high its rating has been. If only it was not listed as an ONA, I'm sure more people would be talking about it.

@@UguuUng Bro, you could say the same for literally any anime with multiple seasons. The reason Monogatari and Gintama are on top is because they're part of the best animes ever, that's all.
@@cielararagi3195 The difference between them is that a conventional anime will be: season 1, season 2, season 3.
In Monogatari's case it's: Bakemonogatari, nekomonogatari, kizumonogatari part 1-3 + 2 movies, Nisemonogatari, monogatari series season 1-2, Hanamonogatari, tsukimonogatari, owarimonogatari, koyomimonogatari, zoku owarimonogatari, monogatari monster season, monogatari series off & monster season etc.
It's a jumbled mess that only die hard fans will waste their time trying to understand. Plus there's PDFilia apparently but eh, idc that much since it's anime tbh.
Yeay I like this ranking system! It allows smaller anime to be higher thanks to its quality and not necessarily to its popularity :)
To be honest, I like it when you tell me the name of the singer more than the genre. Sometimes I hear a familiar voice and want to know if I guessed correctly.

yeah not fond of Nisemonogatari, the change in direction and crank up in unnecessary fanservice was alienating. whenever Kaiki was not onscreen, I was like 'where's Kaiki? what's he doin'?'

Like the concept! It's an opportunity to talk about where we think shows deserve to be.
I'd like to mention "Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai" that started last season and understandably don't appear here, as it is genuinely my fav show from last season and this one as well. (for fans of Apothecary Diaries imo even if darker, less comedic and supernatural elements. Excellent ambient soundtrack too.)
But concerning this top I just wanted to praise "Boku no Tsuma wa Kanjou ga Nai" who absolutely doesn't deserve to be that low. I get that mocking the concept and comparing the MC with the Rent a Girlfriend MC seems to be the cool thing to do and genuinely thought shows like "Koi wa Futago de Warikirenai" or" Gimai Seikatsu" would receive the same treatment but weirdly enough (for Gimai Seikatsu anyway) the presentation kept people interesting. I just think the story from "Boku no Tsuma..." deserves a better score and if you don't overthink it is quite cute (sad & cute and not far from real...).
I wasn't sure what anime you were talking about in the second paragraph, until I looked it up. It's My Wife has no Emotions! It's actually top5 of the season for me, just by how enjoyable it is.
Just wished the art and animation was much better.

I feel bad for P.A. Works series this season. All 3 are pretty good but people does not seem to like them much.
Though I dropped 2 of them, Mayonaka Punch is currently my favorite of the season, and I tried 37

As someone that watched season 1 of both Tower of God and sengoku youko my mind is boggling from how high season 2s from those shows are. Both anime got such a drop in quality that it managed to make me drop the show half way. I almost never drop anime , hell i am even watching some very average shows that i managed to not drop. The average anime fan will eat up anything really. You can take a dump in their 5 star meal and they will continue eating it. I do see that anilist has a overall better rating community , mal users tend to rate things too highly
Kinda agree, but even if tower of god is well placed, his score is still kinda low so that's mean we have a lot more show that are very average / bad and only a couple of decent / good anime this season
