- If you’ve been watching our videos on this 455E track loader resurrection then you’ll recall in the last video after we rebuilt the engine and ran it for awhile then it started running rough🤦♂️ We reached out to fellow UA-camr @AreaDieselService to have them take a look at the injection pump. They did a stand up job on rebuilding the pump. Follow along to see if it fixed our problem.

Every good boss has a KEVEN behind him.
I needed to pause the video, I have so many things running around in my head from the commentary between you and Kevin's grunts.. even them thar are 2 fun to listen to. Anyhow I was at a mans garage ... he had passed on and the kids were tossing stuff away. What I saw had me stop them and make a offer on what they were tossing away. First.. anyone who does have a dorman tray system knows how expensive they are and how invaluable they are if exspecially set up correctly. This old man had got the most complete set of them, all easy to still read the numbers/lettering etc, and so I offered him a couple thousand dollars for just the boxes. This younger man (son of deceased) looked at me like I lost my mind and I thought I had insulted him or something but he says; why would anyone want these dirty old things, I was going to pay you to haul them away, we have a old trailer over there with a lot more of them! I am not a thief nor can I hold stuff away from those who have something of value. I loaded all that they still had, not really realizing just how many they make but more than I had room for as there were ones for cotter pins, etc, as this comment would be a two book edition. I actually built a whole new edition off of my parts area just for them. I lost count mainly on purpose as they had even more in the older garage. Those bins seem to hold up very well, I am glad that I got to them in time as their idea was to just throw them away. inside each dorman box was the plastic bags of items that you open to pour into each compartment. I won't bore you too much more about this find except to say... at the time, I had a guy who was new hire and his pockets were full of bags of different items from the boxes. I think I have told you that I am a rather large man so when he was getting ready to leave and his friends were standing there, I picked him up and turned him upside down... and shook him till stuff started falling from his jacket, and pockets.... I could not even believe it myself how much he tried to get at just one time. He was screaming to let him go but I was angry by this time so I ripped his clothes off and found he had sown larger pockets in his pants that hung lower to hold more. I had my son call the cops as he had worked for me for about a month... if he had this much on him, I wanted to know how much he had stole from me already. That fellow served time for this one as I pressed charges. Why do people steal stuff just to steal as he never did anything with it, as he had boxes at home from stuff he stole from other people as well. Even his wife was in on it and stole stuff from where she worked... they had kids as well so I just wonder what they ever turned out like... back to the video... sorry for this long comment
Yes, now we're talking. Beautiful 455E baby. I need to come up there and get that baby after Kevin puts a new finish on her!!! Beautiful!!
I was going to give Area Diesel a try. Now that I can get a sweet pair of gloves too - well that’s just the icing on the cake!
Boom!
Those old dozers are work horses. A nice addition to any farm/homestead .
it deserves to be safety yellow because it's so vital to optimal engine performance !
Subscriber to Area Diesel Service's YT channel, watched the entire stripdown, rebuild and test of your injection pump. It's amazing how many YT channels those guys have helped out since I sub'ed to them. Looking forward to the undercarraige work :) Congrats on reaching 50k subscribers :)
Thanks
Are you going to have Kevin work his paint magic on this little gem as well? If so, I can't wait to see it! Love you shop videos! The are always entertaining and shows how much work you guys put into making sure that the machines you sell are in good working order and ready to go to work!
Probably not in this one
@@C_CEQUIPMENT You may as well, you've done everything else worth doing!
I saw the pump rebuilders on watch Wes work, they do things right, thank you for your videos
Awesome job good as new. Kevin is a great apprentice.
Clinton, just about to hit 50 thousand subscribers. Congratulations!
Thanks
So close
Keep the video coming , like that little dozer .
Hey There C&C Guys, I Hope This Finds You All Well? 🙏
Nice job guys, lots of work to make big holes small again.
Clinton, I know you don't claim to be a machinist, and you don't claim to have a machine shop, but that was a nice fix, so don't pay any attention to the know-it-alls, not unless they're a "Certified Know-It-All"...... like ME! 😁
I hope y'all have a good one!
"Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌 👍 🇺🇲
Nice job 👍 to you guys, Kevin's a funny guy, he's probably a worker sometimes-lol 😄.
ANOTHER FANTASTIC PHENOMENAL JOB WELL DONE. BEST Mechanic AROUND
Thanks
What an improvement from the start and the both of you make this funny and interesting.
Thanks
Love watching the old stuff get brought back to life. Have watched Area Diesel, very professional outfit. Keep up the great work! 🇦🇺🍺🍺
Thanks
Another great video. I think you should nickname Kevin “turbo” lol. Won’t be long and that will be a new little loader for someone. Thanks for sharing, Clint. Great content.
Thanks for watching
I can't help it.. it's Clinton. Mr. DP screwed it up for everyone.
@@Silverhornet81 lol
Just got home from work ....beers in the fridge ,,,Enjoying Cheeers!!;-)!!
Thanks
I had a small highlift like that almost 40 years ago, I believe it was a 350 and replaced about every hose, sprockets, rollers, carriers, chains, steering clutches and no telling what else. Worked for a outfit that had a 755 and I ran it most of the time. Sure do miss that little one for around the farm. Sure would like that one but it’s probably going to way out of my price range.
Clint and Kevin great video! The grill turned out perfect! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Thanks for watching
Another great video. I can’t believe how straight you got the grille.
Great video guys, watched Wes get his injector pump remaned at Area Diesel and they sure know what they are doing. Safe travels bro
Thanks
Nothing more FUN that working with a bunch of WISENHIEMERS! 👏🏽👍🏼☺️
There was a guy that would visit our fastener supply just like yours. He was known as Diesel. While perusing our collection he would say "Dees'l Do,Dees"l Do".True story.
Lol
Right boys she is coming along 👍 I wish I could give her a good home.
I like the LGP sticker on the forklift! There ain’t nothin LGP about them things! They did a great job on that pump, they painted it John Deere yellow for the tractor yellow and green scheme instead of the construction yellow, but it’ll buff out!
Thanks lol
Congrats on hitting 50K. Your videos are outstanding. Hopefully the 100K mark will be right around the corner.
Let’s hope
Another fine video Sir..
Thanks
I’ve seen a few videos on this Tracktor but this is one i haven’t seen can’t say that again nice lesson on the injector pump cool 😎 like it 👍😎🇺🇸NY
Maybe we'll see it across the street building that new and improved race track ;-)
Well done gentlemen!!!
saved the best till last eh Clint.. the under carriage !!!! thanks for sharing and good to see the shout out to the other channels that helped you with the rebuild of this little old 455E ... you're not gonna want to let the old gal go once she's built are you lol
For sure
Love the tease on the bolts. Could get him bandit mask like the Lone Ranger - for his birthday or next Christmas or the next oh there you are... 🙂
New motor
New undercarriage new new new.
Should be great machine for someone for sure.
Your buddy Chris #letsdig18 used his fingers to hold the cutting edge bolts and got it on video. Blood everywhere.
Great video Clinton.
It’s very dangerous
@@C_CEQUIPMENT Sure is.
that baby sounds good now. For something that was basically slag when you got it.. great job.
Thanks
that yellow looks like the same color as French’s mustard bottle
Great video Clinton can’t wait to see the next video on the 455 J D
Stay tuned
Looking good 👍
Thanks
Fantastic video guys thanks for sharing 🦘👍
Thanks for watching
Great video,Clint.
Thanks
I enjoy all your work, but the way you straightened and flattened the grille was just off the scale it was so good.
Thanks 👍
I find that Gloss Marigold matches Deer yellow pretty well. LOL Try it.
I definitely wach WWW, grate videos from him and you.
Thanks
Wow she's new new
That's Man behind the scenes yellow lol
Ask letsdig18 about how sharp those flat head bolts get and how easy they can cut through work gloves lol
Great Vid👍👍👍👍👍👍dozin 😎😎🐓
Great video Clint 🇺🇲
Thanks
A overhead crane would be great in your nice shop.
Though you put a Flapper cap on the exhaust so water don't go in and do this again. Looks really good guys
Dear Sir & C&C's Team, what makes you so very unìque is combination is learning * entertainment in one package easy to follow! From Peter Eriksson Sweden Europe with 😊😅😊! And once agaian outstanding Teamwork, allways on top!
@@petereriksson1390 thanks!
thats going to be a brand new used loader
Its alive... IT'S ALIVE!!!
Another Great video
Thanks
Area diesel custom built a Turbo charger for TTWT ( Tractor time with tim) for a little John Deere's 1025R.
Yep
Ask ol letsdig18 about them cutting edge bolts on his komatsu lol
Wow! I don't know if you will be able to make a profit on that headache, once in a while everyone gets a beauty like that one. You guys have a lot of money and time wrapped up in that one, you both do great work 'good luck with that beast.
🤞
Squatch253 rebuilds Cat D2 and D6 dozer. He's rebuilding one and found the original body parts for it, but they had been painted that same yellow caution paint and the rest of the dozer was the antique CAT yellow paint. Needless to say, he didn't use the yellow parts! Yucccky!
Everyone has a vision for their toys.
@@kenore4003 HE wanted that patina from the old parts. He rebuilt everything else, so it's all original! D2 1113 early built model, all original parts, including tracs, undercarriage, and pony motor. He did have to build a new belly pan and get some CAT decals. A few were painted over, or rubbed off!
@@jamesdiehl8690 He has rebuilt tractors that looked better than factory fresh.
@@kenore4003 Yes sir, the Farmall M is gorgeous! I'm envious as all get out! I would love to have one like it!
@@kenore4003 the D2 isn't going to be for shows. He's going to use it at home, plowing, discing, etc...
very nice ,,
Thanks
Good call going with Area. I remember Wes's vid he did with them and thinking it was nice to see an operation that didn't use the new school cut-corner chicken s#!t buisness model and valued their mechanics. This (not new) usurping world order has brought so many anti-human values with it, it's a pleasure to see people working closer to the perscribed world order mindset even if they're not familiar (most aren't) with the context distinction.
Yep
Thanks
Area Diesel Service Turbo charged a JD 1025 (tractor time with tim UA-cam) Silent S in Illinois, but no harm done.
Yep
Paint on the pump look's like agriculture yellow. Not industrial yellow 👍
Turbo Kevin👍👍👍👍
Can we call him Turbo now???
I sure hope you put the correct upper radiator hose on this machine before it goes out the door.
We sure did
@@C_CEQUIPMENT I thoroughly enjoy your videos, especially the fact that you do the job right the first time and you don't scrimp on parts, very refreshing! I grew up twenty five miles south of Carlinville Il and have used Area Diesel Service since the mid Seventies. Keep up the good work! Jim
@@dawnamize5118 yep they are great
We have another top secret project going with them
@@C_CEQUIPMENT Can't wait to see it!
you talk about fuel pumps and injectors. have you ever checked out Fair Valley Performance in Sauk City, Wi?
Paint doesn't matter if it matches two things I'm worried with 1 is it atleast painted to prevent rust and 2 does it work that what matters
Aw lol the nut and bolt thief in every shop or the guy that never put the bolts and nut back in right spot.
If it didn’t start losing power till it got fully warmed up pushing dirt. Did we do the same test to verify the pump was the issue?
It was doing it cold also after that first video when it started to quit
We did get it to operating temp also after pump install
👍
I just seen a guy on farm craft 101 rebuild a fuel injector pump with the same co. And after he got it put back on it didn't have good enough compression to run.i think he is going to scrap it
I like Kevin laughing the amount of water in crankcase.
But not funny all the work you 2 did.
You need to make a shirt of his turbo forklift.
Clinton would it work slightly better to weld a washer on first and then weld the nut? As a novice welder I’m curious.
I guess you could but since the nuts stationary it doesn’t make a difference
It was a John deer 1010 track loader
The pump colour looks like New Holland yellow?
Is Kevin going to paint that
Probably not
Can’t afford to put more money in it
Kevin you need to Coyote swap the crown vic.
With all the awesome things you've done to that tractor, you know she needs some new JD Yeller paint on her. Ha Ha. Might as well make everything like new, right?
💵💵
they painted it john deere ag yellow not construction yellow
What is for lunch?
"lLawson lady"--You talkingabout the person that stoczs those brown bins against the wall? We had the same set up in the shop I worked in years ago. Nothing but Grade 8.
yep
Question
When you sent pump out did he say your pump was in bad shape? And needed rebuilt.
It had a bad fuel shut off
Oh dang, I need to hit up Area Diesel for my Billie Jean rebuild. My 86 Ford 6.6/401 Brazil diesel is definitely going to need a turbo...
Well first I gotta get that danged 3rd member back in the rear axle. Only been a few months. 🫣😥🙄
Hit them up
U alt to give it a coat of paint
We are way over budget now
What the most smiilp problem that cost a lot of money
#Why is everybody welding with out have bare shin covered ???
That pump is too bright I am going blind
Machine sounds great. Will be a nice piece of equipment for someone after you get it restored and put it up for sale. Anyway, looks like you'll be surpassing 50k subscribers soon. Congrats.
Yep
Thanks
You and Kevin are an impressive duo. That loader is going to be like new when you finish.
Thanks
Looking real good. I have said this before, but it bares saying again, you and your team do great work and don't cut corners. Anyone purchasing equipment from you can do so with confidence. Wish I was in the area and in the market.
Is Kevin family or just compatibility crazy? He sure is talented!
Not related lol
@@C_CEQUIPMENT you wouldn’t admit even if he was…. hahaha… love the guy tho…
He is an aprentice !!
Greetings from No VT - It is great you are highlighting ADS, they are a great example of another USA based businesses that are doing awesome work as a parts re-furbisher as well as a primary parts supplier. There are so many hard working and technically talented resources that often get overlooked when people are working on iron and they buy from overpriced and technically inferior foreign sources. My son is a senior engineer for an engine manufacturer and he struggles to find USA suppliers/sources for all sorts of engine refits so seeing you highlighting and supporting a solid source like ADS (plus your C & C Equipment) is great, thank you for helping us all have a stronger USA economy.
Thanks
That track loader will make someone a great piece of equipment for a small farm or a few acres. Easy to repair, no electronics etc.
For sure
DONT FORGET THE FLAPPER ON THE RAIN CATCHER, GREAT VIDEO CLINT AND KEVEN YOU TOO
Thanks guys 👏👏👏👏🥰👌👍🇬🇧Looking forward to the undercarriage being overhauled 😊
looking good sounds good Keven is on the job
Kevin should watch Tractor Time With Tim. ADS created a turbo setup for his JD 1025R. that pump looks like they had some New Holland yellow left over
I'd weld a fender washer and the nut on the back side. Washer fills the gap. Fender is larger than normal washer. Old term. welding in the bottom for the screen. The short side might be useful when loading gravel that is full of water and let the water drain as it is transported to the new site. Just a guess. Doing a top job on this one. Need a flapper on the exhaust.
Replace those slick tracks on that old deere and paint it up amd you will have a nearly new loader
FYI, you do know track loader track pads are less agressive compared to dozer track pads???
For God's sake 😫 🙄 can't we get some bolt buckets? Home Depot 3.99 each, small paint pail. Hello 👋 👋 🤣
